ELECTRIC WIRING
All appliances with an electrical loading of 3 kilowatts or below are supplied with a BS1363 13 amp plug
and should be connected to an earthed mains socket. All appliances with an electrical loading above 3
kilowatts must be connected to a suitable electrical supply by a qualified electrician, who should ensure
that
a) precaution is taken during installation regarding leakage current.
b) The means of isolation has a contact separation of at least 3mm on all poles, and
c) It is installed in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act, BS Codes of Practice, IEE Wiring
Regulations and Building and Local Authority Standards.
3.
Turn the thermostat(s) to the required temperature up to a maximum of 250°C (482°F). The thermostat(s)
LED lights up, and turns off when the set temperature is reached.
4. While the set is working do not touch the metallic parts once they are very hot.
5. CLEANING
NEVER USE WATER DIRECTLY ON THE MACHINE.
After using your Griddle for a short time you will see a build up of carbon forming on the Griddle
surface, this is normal, after each session this carbon must be removed, to do this keep the griddle on
a low temperature approximately 80°C and scrape with a suitable scraper or griddle stone.
If the carbon is allowed to build up, it will dry out and start cracking or flaking, this is not a fault with
your griddle surface.
If this happens then this surface must be removed and normal scraping will not suffice, a wire brush or
griddle stone will be required.
6. If by accident water is spilled over the grill, it should be immediately disconnected
from the power supply and it should be properly dried, before it is used again.
7. It is possible to regulate the tension of the upper plate by turning the screw on the
upper-back part of the grill, by using the hole key supplied with the grill.
8. If the power cable needs to be replaced, a cable type H05RN-F 3G 1mm2 for the
single plate grills, and a cable type H07RN-F 3G 1.5MM2 for the double plate grills,
must be used.
N.B. for the United States of America and Canada, the cable should be of the type
SJTO –14 AWG PVC 105°C.
