1. Description
Partizan NVH-3252 PRO Digital Video Recorder is meant to record video streams from IP CCTV cameras
to internal SATA drives. This recorder has such SMART functions as “Face Detection” and “Perimeter
Intrusion Detection”. Recording modes - manually / on alarm / by motion / scheduled. Number of
channels - 32. Video quality - 4K / 5MP / 3MP / 1080P / 960P / 720P. Video compression method - H.264
/ H.265. Backup to USB drive feature is supported.
Attention! SATA drives are not included!
The DVR kit includes:
1. NVH-3252 PRO device - 1 pc.
2. SATA cables - 8 pcs.
3. Switching blocks - 4 pcs.
4. RJ45 Cat5E LAN cable - 1 pc.
5. Power cable 250V / 10A - 1 pc.
6. USB mouse - 1 pc.
7. Mounting bracket for 1U racks (with mounting screws) - 2 pcs.
Ports & Connectors NVH-3252 PRO
The following ports and connectors are located on the front panel:
- Two USB 3.0 ports
- LED indicators
• PWR - power indicator
• HDD - HDD / SSD disk indicator
• NET - LAN1 or LAN2 port network connection indicator
• ALM - alarm indicator (ALARM)
The following ports and connectors are located on the rear panel:
1 - 220V power connector with ON / OFF button
2 - RCA connectors AUDIO IN and AUDIO OUT
3 - HDMI-1 and HDMI-2 connectors
4 - RS232 port
5 - VGA port
6 - USB 2.0 port
7 - eSATA port
8 - Network connection ports LAN1 and LAN2
9 - Block of alarm inputs / outputs

2. Preparation for work
1. Get the device out of the box. Remove the top cover by unscrewing the two screws with a Phillips
Ph2 slot screwdriver (mounting screwdriver is not included).
2. Fix the HDD / SSD to the transverse mounting plate. Maximum number of SATA - up to 8 pcs.
3. Connect the installed HDD / SSD using SATA cables to the ports on the DVR board.
4. Close the top cover and fix it with two screws.
5. Connect the mouse to the USB port
6. Connect the LAN cable to the LAN port
7. Connect the monitor to the VGA or to HDMI-1 (HDMI-2) port
8. Connect the 250V / 10A power cable to the DVR connector.

3. Getting started
Plug the 250V / 10A power cable into a power socket and press the ON / OFF button on the rear panel
of the device. Wait for the “Startup Wizard” menu to appear on the screen.
Caution! Observe safety precautions when working
with an electric network of 220 V.
Step 1 – HELP
Enter “admin” using screen keyboard and mouse when prompted for “User Name”. Password is admin
by default. Then click Next Step.
Note. If you do not need a “Startup Wizard” and wish to be immediately redirected to the split screen as
soon as the device is on, uncheck the box “Activate when reboot”.

Step 2 – NETWORK SETTINGS
Network configuration is required and can be accomplished by entering numerical data in all fields - IP
address / Subnet mask / Gateway / DNS1 / DNS2.
QR code of Partizan MAC. It’s meant to quickly add a DVR to smartphone / tablet by scanning QR code
by mobile device.
As soon network settings are done click "Save" and "Next Step"

Step 3 – USER
Adding users or groups:
Using the "Wizard" you can manage users and user groups by assigning user rights. You can also set a
new password in this menu by selecting the Modify Password option.

Assigning the rights to a new user.
The administrator can assign rights to a new user If “Add User” option was selected in the previous
“Wizard” menu. New password can also be set by selecting the Password option in this menu.

Step – 4 SMART
Work with SMART-functions.
SMART-functions may be assigned to any of 32 channels. You can turn off SMART (None), or activate
special modes - automatic face detection (Face) and detection of intrusion into a set zone (Perimeter).
Please note that Face mode can be enabled only in one channel and Perimeter mode can be set for not
more than two channels.
To exit the Startup Wizard, click Exit.
Note. Only one type of SMART mode can be assigned to the same channel — either Face Detection or
Perimeter Intrusion Detection. Activation of both types of SMART-functions on one channel is not
available!

4. Main Menu
To enter the Main Menu, you need to right-click in any part of the split screen. A mini-window for quick
access to device modes and functions will appear. Left-click on the "Main Menu".
The "Main Menu" contains three main sections:
• OPERATION (Actions)
• INFO (Information)
• CONFIG (Settings)
Note. As soon you hover over the “Main Menu” shortcut, information about the tool appears in a drop-down
window. To exit the "Main Menu" or its section, just right-click anywhere on the screen.

5. OPERATION
The OPERATION section contains tools:
- SEARCH
- BACKUP
- SHUTDOWN
SEARCH window Interface
The line on top displays the video viewing modes - Normal, Event, Tag, SMART, External, Face.
The central part - split screen.
Top right corner - calendar (with archived video records).
Below - timeline of the archived video recording.

BACKUP tool
The BACKUP tool is assigned to work with video records that have been stored on external
drives - USB Flash / HDD / SSD. To find these drives click on the "Detect" button.
SHUTDOWN Tool
The Shutdown tool allows you to perform one of three actions - exit the “Main Menu” (Menu
Logout), turn off the video recorder (Shutdown) or reboot it (System Reboot).

6. INFO Section
The INFO section (Information) contains the following tools:
- SYSTEM (System Information)
- EVENT
- NET (Network)
- LOG (The event log)

SYSTEM tool
It displays the status of the system and of the HDD / SSD drives, information about the current
version of the system.

EVENT tool
The EVENT tool stores information about all incidents - sensors triggering, network conflicts and
video recorder failures. This information is presented for each channel for more clarity.

NET tool
The network activity is graphically displayed here on each channel from 1 to 32 - a graph of the
current traffic indicating the bitrate of the video streams.

LOG tool
All actions of all users (including the Administrator) are displayed in the event log, as well as
information on alarms, changes in the device configuration, settings, etc.
To view these events you must set data in the "Type", "Start Time" and "End Time" fields.

7. CONFIG Section
CONFIG section (Settings) contains the following tools:
- CHANNEL
- NETWORK
- EVENT
- STORAGE (HDD / SSD drives)
- SYSTEM
- APP (Additional Features)
CHANNEL tool
CHANNEL tool is used to check and change the channel parameters - channel name, type, protocol,
video coding, SMART function management, operation mode, etc.

NETWORK Tool
NETWORK tool is assigned to configure the network. It contains basic and advanced parameters
settings.

EVENT tool
EVENT tool is assigned for controlling alarm inputs / outputs, as well as for setting up reactions
to alarm signals - whether to take a snapshot or to send an e-mail or to upload to cloud storage,
etc.
