Assembly and operation
1. Choose a location that receives full, direct sunlight a
minimum of six hours a day and away from light sources
such as torch lights and streetlights, which can cause light
to turn off and flicker.
2. Secure the bracket to the wall. (See Figure 1)
a) For Wood Wall:
Attach the bracket to the desired wall location and screw
the drywall screws directly through the set holes of bracket
into the wall.
b) For Concrete Wall:
Attach the bracket to the desired wall location and mark the targets on the wall from the set holes of bracket
for drilling holes. Remove the bracket. Drill the holes and thread the anchors into the holes. Then reattach
the bracket back, and secure it by screwing the drywall screws into the anchors.
3. Ensure that battery is in place.
Note: Remove the insulated paper before using the light.
4. Switch the light to “OFF” using the switch on the rear of the fixture.
The light has three operating functions selectable by the switch:

1. For best performance, install light at least 6 feet above the
ground. At such a height, the lantern will provide a detection
distance of up to 25 feet at 68 degrees Fahrenheit. (See Figure 5)
2. The sensor rotates across a detection range of 110 degrees.
(See Figure 5)
3. The sensor will be more sensitive to motion across its detection
path than motion directly towards it. (See Figure 4)
4. To reduce possible nuisances, do not mount the fixture near a
heat source like an air conditioner, vent or furnace exhaust, or
in a direction facing any reflecting object or other light source.
Where you install your
lantern is important:
Be sure the light is
mounted straight on the
wall; otherwise, the
detection distance
may be limited.
