Access Panel
Pairing with Bluetooth Device
To pair with your smartphone, tablet, PC, or other Bluetooth device, first make sure your Bluetooth
settings are turned on and searching for devices.
1. Open the access panel and turn on the OutLoud; you will hear a resonating tone as it powers
up. The green LED lights that first turn on indicate the amount of remaining battery charge;
after a moment these lights will turn blue, indicating that the unit is in Bluetooth mode. The
blue LEDs will blink until paired with a device. If they do not blink but remain on, the unit is
indicating that it is already paired with a device. To pair with a different device you must first
unpair the one currently connected.
2. Open your device’s Bluetooth settings and find and select “OutLoud.” A tone will sound on the
OutLoud and the blue LED lights will remain on.
3. Your device is now paired with the OutLoud – turn it up and enjoy your music with the clarity
and volume it deserves!
Connecting to Your Device with a 3.5mm Cable
In addition to the convenience of Bluetooth connectivity, the OutLoud also lets you hardwire
directly into the OutLoud using a 3.5mm cable (not included). You’ll still be able to enjoy the
superior sound and versatility of the OutLoud, including pairing with multiple OutLoud speakers.
To connect with a 3.5mm cable:
1. Open the access panel and turn on the OutLoud; you will hear a resonating tone as it powers
up. The green LED lights that first appear indicate the amount of remaining battery charge.
2. Plug one end of the 3.5mm cable (not included) into your device and the other end into the
3.5mm jack on the OutLoud.
3. Press the Mode Button on top of the OutLoud twice. The white LED lights indicate that the unit
is in Auxiliary mode for playback via 3.5mm cable.
4. You may pair your OutLoud with up to seven other OutLoud speakers, connecting either by
Bluetooth or 3.5mm cable.
Pairing Multiple OutLoud Speakers
For an amazing all-around sound experience, you can pair up to seven additional OutLoud speakers.
To pair additional speakers:
1. Pair your device with the OutLoud speaker, connecting either via Bluetooth connection or
3.5mm cable (not included). This will be the master speaker. You will be able to control the
volume of all paired speakers using the Volume Buttons on the top of this unit.
2. Once your device is paired with the master OutLoud speaker, turn on the additional OutLoud
speaker(s) you want to link.
3. Press the Mode button on the additional speakers you want to link until the LED lights on top
are blinking purple, then press the Sync Button on the Master OutLoud speaker one time.
After a short moment your speakers will be linked as indicated by the flashing purple LEDs
switching to non-flashing purple LEDs.

helpful for designing the ideal sound when pairing multiple OutLoud speakers.

R – In this setting, the speaker will play the right channel of stereo sound.
C – In this setting, the speaker will play the center channel of stereo sound.
