Installing and Adjusting Seat
The best seat height for learning is achieved with the riders legs straight and both feet flat to the ground at the same time and the
seat adjusted high into the riders crotch area.* If the seat is too high or too low, use the quick-release to loosen the seat clamp bolt,
adjust the seat to the proper height, and re-tighten quick release. There is a line on the seat tube describing its highest setting. Do not
exceed this limit, it is dangerous and can permanently damage your bike.
Insert seat post into seat tube opening and align your seat with the frame. Once the seat is positioned to the proper height and
direction, tighten the silver quick-release until the seat won’t rotate or slide up and down.

Adjust the seat high into the riders crotch area, with their legs straight and feet flat to the ground. With the Pedibal in ‘Balance
Formation’ (No SCEETA footpads or pedals fitted). The rider commences simply by walking and if the seat is adjusted correctly,
when they lift their legs, their upper body weight will be supported by the bike and propelling the bike will be easy. Use an area
with a slight downward slope, which will allow the bike to move more easily. Stand forward in front of the rider and get them to
look at you, as they are propelling (tendency is for rider to look down at the bike). This assists spatial awareness and helps them to
gain balance. Being in front also allows you to stop the bike and rider safely, if required. The super light weight PediBal is designed
with a low centre of gravity, to balance at circa 2 mph, requiring very little counterbalance. As the rider’s confidence builds, ask
them to lift their legs and when they are comfortable with that operation and showing an element of balance, fit the SCEETA ‘Kick
Lock’ footpads. They can the place one foot on a footpad, with the opposite footpad raised (avoiding impedance) and can push off
with the other foot, again on a slight downward slope, building balance further. The Pedal crank can be fitted when the rider is
fully comfortable and confident, with their balance.
The versatility of PediBal bikes allow easy fitting or removal of formation accessories to suit riders needs!
