Wipedownallmetalpartsatleastonceaweekusingasocloth.Drychair
immediately if it is exposed to moisture. Abrasive cleaners or materials will scratch
the surface of the chair.
Tyres
Minimal maintenance is required for rubber tyres. Wipe with a damp cloth
occasionally. If tyres become cracked or worn, replace immediately.
FrontCastors
Inspect castors periodically and lubricate them when necessary. To lubricate,
remove the fork and grease the castor bearings. Remove the wheel from the
fork and grease the wheel bearings. The wheel and fork can be reassembled by
ghteningthenutsunlthereisnomovementremaining,butthewheelrolls
freely.Theforkwillrevolvefreelywhenadjustedcorrectly.Thecastorwilluerif
thenutistoolooseorbecomediculttosteerifthenutistooght.
Wheels
Inspectmonthlyforcorrectghtness.Ifthewheelseemstobelooseorwobbly,
releasethelocknutandghtentheaxlebolt.Leanchairtoonesideandspin
adjusted wheel to check for correct adjustments.
WheelLocks
Wheellocksshouldbecheckedforcorrectlockingaconbeforeactualuse.
Pushingthehandlecompletelyforwardacvatesthewheellocks.Ifthewheel
locks are working correctly they will be embedded into the tyre at least 3.2mm.
To adjust wheel locks, loosen nut on carriage bolt. Slide clamp towards rear wheel
unllockshoeisembeddedatleast3.2mmintoreartyrewhenlockhandleis
engaged.Tightennuttosecureintoposion.
