01 Placing the AlphaJoint
Sleeve
02 Fix joints together
Nylon
Buttery/wing nut
Position joints end to end, unscrew the wing nut and nylon, push the 60mm osets together and
re-assemble the nylon and wing nut. Note; The CSS top strip may move laterally during transit and
require minor realignment during installation.
Place joints on the oor with sleeves pointing up.
Buttery/Wing nut must sit
horizontal to top strip.

03 Adjust to Height
Use wedges to get the desired height required and check with a spirit level/optical level.
Note; Check the joint is level in the 3 positions above.

must be xed
at 90°. Wedges

Level
Top strip
Measure the vertical and horizontal level using the top strip.
Use wedges to adjust
the vertical and the
horizontal.
Note; Once levels are checked
cut pins just above the tac weld.
04 Place pins

to end of stud.
Edge of Stud
Pins are situated towards the end of the stud, then tack welded in place. The tack weld will break
under the pressure of the concrete, this will allow the joint to open along the length of the stud with
the pin still in place.
Note: 4 pins per joint.

05 Support bars
This method gives good support to the Joint and helps to prevent kick.
Note;Place re-bar
between two Alpha
joints and tack weld.
Note;Pins welded like this
provide support aganst kick.
06 Vibrate Concrete
Poker vibrate along length of the joint to compacted concrete.
Wet concrete
Poker
Finish concrete, ush to top of the armoured joint ensuring the rail is clearly viable.
07 Finish
Extended Joint support bar
The re-bar is to be
tack welded only.
Pin and a wedge will
also ght against kicking
of the Joint.
