Vor dem Benutzen
Die Gebrauchsanweisung aufmerksam lesen. Sie enthält
wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch, die Sicherheit und
die Wartung des Gerätes.
Sie soll sorgfältig aufbewahrt und gegebenenfalls an
Nachbenutzer weitergegeben werden.
Das Gerät darf nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck, gemäß
dieser Gebrauchsanweisung, verwendet werden.
Beim Gebrauch die Sicherheitshinweise beachten.
Sicherheitshinweise
• Gerät nur an Wechselstrom - mit Spannung gemäß
Typschild am Gerät anschließen. Zuleitung und
Stecker müssen trocken sein.
• Das Gerät ist für Kurzzeitbetrieb ausgelegt.
Sollen mehrere Gegenstände nacheinander geschärft
werden, nach 4 Minuten Betrieb eine Pause einlegen,
die ausreicht, um das Gerät abkühlen zu lassen.
• Der Allesschärfer ist für Nassschleifen nicht geeignet.
• Die Anschlussleitung nicht über scharfe Kanten ziehen
oder einklemmen, nicht herunterhängen lassen sowie
vor Hitze und Öl schützen.
• Das Gerät nicht auf heiße Oberflächen wie Herdplatten
o. Ä. stellen und nicht in der Nähe offener Flammen
betreiben.
• Den Netzstecker nicht an der Leitung oder mit nassen
Händen aus der Steckdose ziehen.
• Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen
(einschließlich Kinder) mit eingeschränkten
physischen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten
oder mangels Erfahrung und/oder mangels Wissen
benutzt zu werden, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine
für ihre Sicherheit zuständige Person beaufsichtigt
oder erhielten von ihr Anweisungen, wie das Gerät zu
benutzen ist.
• Achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder keine Gelegenheit
erhalten, mit dem Gerät zu spielen.
• Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen bzw. sofort
Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
- Gerät oder Netzkabel beschädigt ist
- der Verdacht auf einen Defekt nach einem Sturz oder
Ähnlichem besteht.
In diesen Fällen das Gerät zur Reparatur geben.
• Der Netzstecker ist zu ziehen:
- bei Störungen während des Betriebes
- vor jeder Reinigung und Pflege
- nach dem Gebrauch.
• Das Gerät nicht in Wasser tauchen.

Schärfen
Nur saubere Gegenstände nachschärfen.
Messer und Scheren beim Schleifen unter leichtem
Druck in einer gleichmäßigen Bewegung zum eigenen
Körper hin führen. Keinesfalls hin und her bewegen.
Diesen Vorgang so oft wiederholen, bis die gewünschte
Schärfe erreicht ist. Die Qualität des Nachschärfens ist
wesentlich von der Qualität des Stahles abhängig.
Messer und Scheren jeweils über die gesamte Länge
nachschärfen, um Absätze zu vermeiden. Starker Druck
und Verkanten blockiert die Schleifscheibe. In diesem
Fall den Vorgang erneut beginnen.
• Bei Zweckentfremdung, falscher Bedienung oder nicht
fachgerechter Reparatur wird keine Haftung für
eventuelle Schäden übernommen. Ebenso sind
Garantieleistungen in solchen Fällen ausgeschlossen.
• Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch
bestimmt.
• Wenn die Anschlussleitung dieses Gerätes beschädigt
wird, muss sie durch den zentralen Kundendienst des
Herstellers oder eine ähnlich qualifizierte Person
ersetzt werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen
können erhebliche Gefahren für den Benutzer
entstehen.
Inbetriebnahme
Den Netzstecker an eine Steckdose anschließen.
Durch Drehen des Schärfkopfes die gewünschte
Arbeitsstellung einstellen. Der Schärfkopf rastet spürbar
ein, wenn die Kreismarkierung eines Symbols nach oben
gedreht wird.
Zum Einschalten des Gerätes den Druckknopf betätigen.
Das schlagende Anlaufgeräusch des Motors ist
technisch bedingt und kein Grund zur Beunruhigung.

Glattschliff - Messer beidseitig schleifen. Die beiden Messerführungen im Schleifkopf sind
für die rechte und linke Messerseite. Das Messer beim Schleifen in der rechten
Messerführung rechts anlegen und in der linken Führung links anlegen.
Tafelmesser mit Wellenschliff nur an der glatten Seite nachschärfen. Die Schärfe von
Tafelmessern ist schon beim Kauf nicht vergleichbar mit der von Glattschliff-Messern. Das
Profil der Klinge lässt ein Nachschleifen bis zur absoluten Schärfe nur bedingt zu.
Wellenschliff-Messer nur am Wellenschliff nachschärfen. Das Messer mit dem
Wellenschliff nach unten in die Messerführung einlegen. Die verschiedensten Formen des
Wellenschliffes lassen sich nur bedingt nachschärfen. Ein Abtragen der Spitzen ist
unvermeidlich.
Sägeschliff-Messer benötigen kein Nachschärfen.
Scheren zum Nachschärfen aufklappen. Beide Schneiden nacheinander durch den
Führungsschlitz ziehen.
Vorsicht beim Anfassen der geschärften Schneide!

Bedienungsanleitung
Schraubendreherklingen an der Stirnseite des Schärfkopfes auf die richtige, flachstumpfe
Form bringen.
Kleinwerkzeuge nach dem Abziehen des Schärfkopfes an der dann frei zugänglichen
Schleifscheibe nachschärfen.
Schleifscheibenwechsel: Zum Lösen der Schraube die Schleifscheibe festhalten. Eine
Ersatz-Schleifscheibe kann beim Kundendienst des Herstellers bestellt werden.
Reinigung und Pflege
Das Gerät keinesfalls in Wasser tauchen, sondern außen
nur mit einem feuchten Tuch abwischen. Keine
scheuernden Reinigungsmittel verwenden.
Garantie-Information
Für unsere Geräte übernehmen wir gegenüber dem End-
kunden eine 24-monatige Haltbarkeitsgarantie. Sie be-
ginnt mit dem Kauf des Gerätes durch den Endkunden
und gilt im Gebiet der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Ansprüche aus dieser Garantie sind unter Vorlage des

Kaufbelegs direkt gegenüber unserem zentralen Kun-
dendienst geltend zu machen.
Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind Schäden durch
normalen Verschleiß, unsachgemäßen Gebrauch sowie
unterbliebene Pflege.
Der Endkunde besitzt zusätzlich zu den Ansprüchen aus
dieser Garantie gesetzliche Ansprüche wegen Mängeln
des Gerätes gegenüber seinem direkten Verkäufer/
Händler, die durch diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt
werden.

Before Using
Read the instructions carefully. They contain important
notes for the use, safety and maintenance of the
appliance.
Keep them in a safe place and transfer them to a future
user.
Only use the appliance for the purpose mentioned in
these instructions.
When using pay particular attention to the safety advice
below.
Safety Advice
• Only connect the appliance to alternating current - with
a rated voltage according to the rating plate - to a
correctly installed earthed socket. Cord and plug must
be completely dry.
•The appliance is made for short-term operation. If
several objects have to be sharpened one after the
other, make a break after 4 minutes of operation which
is sufficient to let the appliance cool down.
• The electric sharpener is not suited for wet sharpening
operation.
• Do not pull the connection cord over sharp edges or
jam it, do not allow it to hang down and protect it from
heat and oil.
• Do not place the appliance onto hot surfaces, e.g. hot
plate etc. or near open flames.
• Do not pull out the plug by the cord or touch it with wet
hands.
• This appliance is not meant to be used by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensorial or
mental capacities or in absence of the necessary
experience and/or knowledge - unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety and
from whom they get instructions on how to use the
appliance.
• Keep out of reach from children.
• If the following happens do not use the appliance and
unplug it immediately:
- the appliance or the mains cable is damaged
- any defect after the appliance has accidently dropped
or something similar is suspected.
In these cases have the appliance repaired.
• Disconnect the appliance in these situations:
- any malfunction during operation
- prior to cleaning and maintenance
- after use.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water.

• In the case of misuse, wrong handling or incorrect
repair no liability will be taken for possible damages.
Claims under guarantee are also excluded in such
cases.
• The appliance is not designed for commercial
purposes.
• In case the cord of this appliance is damaged, it has to
be replaced by an authorised service agent of the
manufacturer or a person having similar qualifications.
Substantial dangers for the user can appear from
inappropriate repairs.
Putting into operation
Connect the appliance to a socket.
By turning the sharpening head adjust the desired
working position. The sharpening head locks into place
perceptibly, when the marking of a symbol is turned
towards the top.
For starting the appliance press the button. The starting
noise of the motor is due to technical reasons and no
reason for concern.
Sharpening procedures
Only sharpen clean objects. Move all knives and scissors
under slight pressure in one fluent movement towards
your body during the sharpening operation. Never move
in both directions. Repeat this procedure until the desired
degree of sharpness has been obtained. The quality of
the sharpening procedure is primarily dependent on the
quality of the steel. Always sharpen knives and scissors
about the whole length in order to avoid deformations.
Strong pressure and tilting the tools block the grinding
disc. In this case start the sharpening operation once
again.

Knives with a plain edge have to be sharpened on both sides. The two knife guideways in
the sharpening head are for the right and left side of the knife. The knife in the right guideway
has to be put up against the right side. The knife in the left guideway has to be put up against
the left side.
Fine kitchen cutlery with serrations have to be sharpened only on the plain side. The
sharpness of fine kitchen cutlery is already, when purchasing, not comparable with the
sharpness of knives with a plain edge. The profile of the blade admits a resharpening up to
the absolute sharpness only with limitations.
Serrated knives have to be sharpened on the side of the serration only.The knife has to be
put into the blade guideway with the serrations directed downwards. A sharpening of the
different kinds of serrations is only possible with limitations. A gradual flattening of the
serration points is unavoidable.
Knives with fine serrations do not need resharpening.
For sharpening scissors, they have to be unclasped. Put both blades, one after the other,
into the guideway. Attention: Be careful when touching the sharpened blades.

Screwdriver blades can be put in the right format the front of the sharpening head.
Small tools can be sharpened at the grinding disc, which is freely accessible after removing
the sharpening head.
Changement of grinding discs: Keep hold of the grinding disc and remove the screw. A
spare grinding disc can be ordered from the service department of the manufacturer.
Cleaning and maintenance
Never immerse the appliance into water, but clean it on
the outside with a damp cloth only. Never use scouring
cleaning agents.
For UK use only
• This product is supplied with a 13 A plug conforming to
BS 1363 fitted to the mains lead. If the plug is
unsuitable for your socket outlets or needs to be
replaced, please note the following. If the plug is a
non-rewireable one, cut it from the mains lead and
immediately dispose of it. Never insert it into a socket

outlet as there is a very great risk of an electric shock.
• The replacement of the plug at the mains lead has to
be done according to the following instructions:
Important: The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
blue Neutral
brown Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
- the wire which is coloured blue must be connected to
the terminal which is marked with the letter N or
coloured black,
- the wire which is coloured brown must be connected
to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or
coloured red.
Do not connect any wire to the terminal which is
marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol ,or
coloured green or green and yellow.
• If a 13 A (BS 1363) plug is used it must be fitted with a
3 A fuse conforming to BS 1362 and be ASTA
approved. If any other type of plug is used, the
appliance must be protected by a 5 A fuse either in the
plug or adapter or at the distribution board.
If in doubt - consult a qualified electrician.
• Never use the plug without closing the fuse cover.
The appliance complies with the European
directives 2006/95/EC and 89/336/EEC.
At the end of its lifetime this product must not be
disposed of through the normal domestic waste,
but it should be handed to an assembly point for
the recycling of electrical and electronical
appliances. You can inquire about details at the
local administration.

Avant utilisation
Lire attentivement le mode d’emploi. Il comprend des
indications importantes pour l’utilisation, la sécurité et la
maintenance de l’appareil.
Il doit être soigneusement conservé et remis le cas
échéant à des utilisateurs ultérieurs.
L’appareil ne doit être utilisé que pour une utilisation
prévue conformément à ce mode d’emploi.
Respecter les indications de sécurité lors de l’utilisation.
Indications de sécurité
• Brancher l’appareil uniquement sur du courant
alternatif: prise de sécurité installée selon les normes
en vigueur. Cordon et prise secteur doivent être secs.
•L'appareil est conçu pour des opérations de courte
durée. Si plusieurs couteaux doivent être aiguisés de
façon consécutive, respecter un temps de pause au
bout de 4 minutes afin de laisser refroidir l'appareil.
• L’affûteur n’est pas propre à des affûtages à l’eau.
• Ne pas tirer ni coincer le câble sur des bords
tranchants. Ne pas le laisser pendre et le protéger de
la chaleur et de l’huile.
• Ne pas poser l’appareil sur des surfaces chaudes
comme des plaques électriques ou autres ou à
proximité d’une flamme non protégée.
• Ne pas brancher la prise ou la débrancher avec les
mains mouillées.
• Cet appareil n’est pas prévu pour être utilisé par des
personnes (inclus les enfants) ayant des facultés
physiques, sensorielles ou mentales réduites ou à
défaut un manque d’expérience et/ou de connaissance
- sauf s’ ils sont surveillés par une personne
responsable de leur sécurité ou s’ils recoivent de celle-
ci des instructions sur la manière d’ utiliser l’appareil.
• Bien veiller à ce que les enfants ne jouent pas avec
cet appareil.
• Ne pas mettre l’appareil en marche ou le débrancher si:
- l’appareil ou le câble est défectueux
- l’appareil a reçu un choc violent.
Dans ces derniers cas, veuillez remettre l’appareil au
service de réparation.
• La prise doit être débranchée:
- lors de perturbations au moment de l’utilisation
- avant chaque nettoyage
- après utilisation.
• Ne pas immerger l‘appareil dans l’eau.
• En cas d’utilisations non conformes ou de réparations
effectuées par une personne non qualifiée, notre

responsabilité ne sera pas engagée et nous
n’assumerons aucun dommage. Dans ces cas, la
garantie ne sera pas applicable.
• L’appareil n’est pas conçu pour l’emploi professionnel.
• Dans le cas où le cordon de cet appareil est
endommagé, seuls le service après-vente du
fournisseur ou une personne compétente sont à même
de le changer. Des réparations impropres peuvent
causer de graves dangers pour l’utilisateur.
Mise en marche
Brancher l’appareil sur le courant. Choisir la position de
travail souhaitée tout en tournant le portemeule. A
chaque position, vous sentirez le portemeule
s’enclencher en tournant le marquage d’un symbole vers
le haut. Pour mettre l’appareil en marche, presser le
bouton-poussoir. Lorsqu' on met l'appareil en fonction,
ne pas s'inquiéter du bruit qui est normal.
Affûtage
Ne ré-affûter que des objets propres.
Pour l'affûtage, exercer une légère pression sur les
couteaux et les ciseaux tout les attirant vers soi dans un
mouvement régulier. N'effectuer en aucun cas des
mouvements de va-et-vient. Répéter cette opération
jusqu'à ce que le tranchant désiré soit atteint. La qualité
du ré-affûtage dépend fortement de la qualité de l'acier.
Ré-affûter respectivement les couteaux et les ciseaux
sur toute leur longueur pour éviter de faire des gradins.
Forte pression et mauvaise inclinaison bloquent la
meule. Dans ce cas, il faut reprendre l'opération au
début.

Couteaux à lame lisse – affûter des deux côtés. Les deux guidages de couteaux dans le
porte-meule sont pour le côté droit et le côté gauche du couteau. Pour l'affûtage, placer le
couteau en appui à droite dans le guide-couteau droit, et en appui à gauche dans le guide-
couteau gauche.
Couteaux de table à lame dentée – ne ré-affûter que sur le côté lisse. Le tranchant des
couteaux de table n'est déjà pas comparable à l'achat déjà avec celui de couteaux à lame
lisse. Le profil de la lame n'autorise le ré-affûtage jusqu'à un tranchant absolu que sous
réserve.
Couteaux à lame dentée – ne ré-affûter que sur la denture. Placer le couteau denture en
bas, dans le guide-couteau. Le ré-affûtage des formes de dentures des plus diverses n'est
possible que sous réserve. Un enlèvement de matière au niveau des pointes est inévitable.
Les couteaux à dents de scie n'ont pas besoin d'être ré-affûtés.
Ciseaux – les ouvrir pour les ré-affûter. Faire glisser les deux lames l'une après l'autre dans
la fente de guidage.
Attention en saisissant le tranchant affûté !

Lames de tournevis – leur donner la bonne forme plate et émoussée en utilisant la face
avant du porte-meule.
Petits outils – retirer l'embout porte-meule puis les ré-affûter sur la meule qui se trouve
ainsi dégagée.
Remplacement de la meule: maintenir la meule pour desserrer la vis. Vous pouvez
commander une meule de rechange auprès du service après-vente du fabricant.

Nettoyage et entretien
Ne pas plonger l’appareil dans l’eau. Nettoyer l’extérieur
de l’appareil avec un chiffon humide. Ne pas utiliser de
produits de récurage.
Cet appareil est conforme aux directives
européennes 2006/95/CE et 89/336/CEE.
Quand il n'est plus utilisable (fin de vie), vous ne
devez pas jeter ce produit avec les ordures
ménagères mais le remettre au point de
recyclage des appareils électriques et
électroniques le plus proche (ou déchetterie). Si
vous avez besoin de détails supplémentaires,
vous pouvez également vous adresser à la mairie de
votre commune.

informazioni importanti per l'uso, la sicurezza e la
manutenzione dell‘apparechio. Conservare queste
istruzioni accura.

L'apparecchio deve venire usato solo a scopi previsti da
queste istruzioni.

Avvertenze di sicurezza
• Inserire l'apparecchio ad una presa di corrente
alternata di sicurezza regolarmente installata, con
tensione identica a quella riportata sulla targhetta-tipo
dell'apparecchio.
Il cavo elettrico e la spina devono essere completa-
mente asciutti.
•L’apparecchio è solo per uso a breve tempo. In caso si
dovessero affilare più oggetti uno dopo l’altro, dopo
quattro minuti di uso, interporre una pausa che dia
la possibilità all’apparecchio di raffreddarsi.
• L’affilalame elettrico non è da usare bagnato.
• Non tirare nè incastrare il cavo elettrico in bordi
taglienti, non lasciarlo penzolare e roteggerlo da fonti
di calori ed olio.
• Non appoggiare l’apparecchio su piani caldi come p.e.
piastre elettriche o metterlo vicino a fiamme scoperte.
• Non staccare la spina dalla presa di corrente tirandone
il cavo e neppure usare mani bagnate.
• Il dispositivo non è destinato all'utilizzo da parte di
persone (compresi bambini) dalle ridotte capacità
motorie, sensoriali o psichiche o prive della necessaria
esperienza e/o conoscenza, a meno che non siano
sorvegliate da una persona responsabile della loro
sicurezza o ricevano da queste istruzioni circa l'utilizzo
del dispositivo stesso.
• Prestate la massima attenzione affinchè i bambini non
abbiano la possibilità di giocare col dispositivo.
• Non usare l’apparecchio, o staccare subito la spina
quando:
- l’apparecchio o il cavo elettrico siano diffetosi
- dopo una caduta o qualcosa di simile e si sospetti
che abbia ricevuto dei danni.
In questi casi portare l‘apparecchio a far riparare.
• Staccare subito la spina:
- in caso di disturbi durante l’esercizio

- prima di pulire o fare la manutenzione
dell’apparecchio
- dopo averlo usato.
• Non immergere l’apparecchio in acqua.
• Se l'apparecchio venisse usato a scopi non
originalmente intenzionati, in modo sbagliato o riparato
da personale non autorizzato, non si assumono
responsabilità per danni che ne potrebbero derivare e
sono pure esenti da prestazioni di garanzia.
• L'apparecchio non è per usi industriali.
• Se il cavo di alimentazione-corrente di questo
apparecchio fosse danneggiato, deve venire sostituito
dal servizio-assistenza della ditta fabbricante o da una
persona analogamente qualificata. Riparazioni
inappropriate possono portare notevoli pericoli
all'utente.
Messa in essercizio
Colleggare l’apparecchio alla presa di corrente.
Scegliere, girando la testa affilatrice, il prodecimento
desiderato. La testa-affilatrice si incastra percettibilmente
quando un punto-simbolo viene girato verso l'alto. Per
accendere l'apparecchio azionare l'interruttore
automatico. Il battente rumore iniziale del motore è
tecnicamente normale, non c'è assolutamente motivo di
allarmarsi.
Procedimento di affilatura
Affilare solo lame pulite. I coltelli e forbici da affilare,
vanno mossi con una lieve pressione, in modo regolare
verso noi stessi; in nessun caso in avanti e in dietro.
Ripetere questo procedimento fino a quando si è
raggiunta l’affilatura desiderata. Il risultato dell’affilatura
dipende in modo essenziale dalla qualità dell’acciaio
della lama. Affilare coltelli e forbici in tutta la lunghezza
per evitare smussature. Una pressione forte di quanto è
da affilare o una posizione sullo spigolo, blocca il disco;
ricominciare perciò il procedimento.

Coltelli con affilatura liscia: Si devono affilare ambedue le parti. Le due guide-lame-
coltelli sono per la lama sinistra e destra. Mettere nella guida destra la lama del coltello
destra, nella guida sinistra la lama del coltello sinistra.
Coltelli da tavola con affilatura ondulata sono da affilare solo sulla parte liscia.
L'affilatura dei coltelli, già all'acquisto, non è da paragonare alla affilatura dei coltelli lisci.
Il profilo della lama permette solo condizionalmente un' assoluta affilatura.
Coltelli con affilatura ondulata vanno affilati solo sull'ondulazione.
Mettere il coltello con la parte ondulata verso il basso, nella guida.
Le diverse forme dell'ondulazione si lasciano affilare solo relativamente e pure un rovinarsi
della punta.
Coltelli con affilatura a sega non hanno bisogna di un’affilatura.
Forbici da affilare devono venire aperte. Passare nella guida una dopo l'altra le due lame
e tirare.
Attenzione: fare attenzione nel prendere in mano la parte affilata.

Alle lame di cacciavite viene ridata la giusta forma smussata-piatta usando la parte
anteriore della testa-affilatrice.
Piccoli utensili possono venire affilati direttamente sul disco abrasivo
dopo aver tolto la testa-affilatrice.
Ricambio di un disco abrasivo: per allentare la vite, tenere fermo il disco abrasivo. Un
nuovo disco abrasivo lo si può ordinare al servizio di assistenza del fabbricante
