FUNCTIONALDESCRIPTION
Asamplecleanerforcleaningand gradingbysizeasameansofselectinggrainforseed,
malting, feedect.
Thedeawnerbottomgateisclosedandthepreweighed samplefedintothedeawner.
Thelid (pos.2) isclosedand themachinestartswhentheknob(pos.1)ispushed into
pos.ON. After0-60sec. (adjustable)thedeawnerautomaticallydischargesthesample
ontothetopscreen(pos.12).Thelightwasteisairliftedintothecycloneanddepos-
ited into theplasticbag (pos. 16).
Thegrainpassesthrough thetop screen and thelargeimpuritiesarecarriedover. The
grainisthen carried overthesecond screen (pos.13). Grain isthenreturnedto the
lowergradingscreen. Thegrading screen iskeptclean byrubberballs.Theprimemate-
rial(good grain) feedsintotherighthandcollecting tray(pos.6). Theundersizegrain
feedsinto theleft-handtray(pos. 5).Thesand, weed andlargeimpuritiesarefeedinto
athird collectingtrayon theleft-hand sideofthecleaner(pos. 15).
INSTALLATION
Deliveryconsistsof:
1PCsSamplecleanermod.SLN3withstandardsievesformaltingbarley.
Top sieve . 4,5x20mmperforation.
Secondsieve1,5 x3,5+2,0Ø mmperforation.
Thirdsieve(grading sieve)2,5x20mm ISO5223
Top and secondsieve300x350 mm.
Gradingsieves300 x470mm.
5PCsPlastictraysofuniformweight.
1.Unpackthesamplecleaner,checkfortransportdamageandmakesurethatall the
itemsaredelivered.
2.Thecleanermustbeinstalledhorizontallyto ensureeven distribution ofkernelson
thesieves.
3.Besureto havethecleanerpositioned atacomfortableworking height.(Table60-
65cm. abovefloor.)
4.Turn switch(pos. 1) tooffposition.
5.Checkthatpowersupplyconformsto specification on samplecleaner230 V+PE,
50HZ, orasordered.
6.Connecttopowersupply. Thenoisereducingfrontcovershouldbeclosed during
operation.
7.Ifthereisanyactivesuction ofairfromabovethecleaner, becarefulnottoinfluence
theoutletofthecyclone,distance mustbeaminimumof40cm.

OPERATION
Cleaning and grading ofsample
1.Place2oftheplastictraysinposition, justbeneath theoutletofthe
small and primegrains(pos. 5and6.) Placeathird plastictrayattheleft
sideoutlet(pos. 15).
2.Alwaysusean airtightplasticbag onthecycloneoutletand attachitusing thespring
clip(pos.16).
3.Checkthesetting oftheairflowand outletfeedingrateregulator(pos.10and 4)and
thatthesievesconformto theproductthatisto becleanedandgraded.(Seerec-
ommended settingspage5)Setthedeawnertimeon thepotentiometer(pos.17).
Adjustablefrom1-6. 0=immediately,1=10seconds,2=20seconds.
4.Placean emptytrayon an appropriatebalanceand tarethebalanceand weigh 1-kg
sample(Ifusinga%balancefill in approx.1kg.)
5.Closethedeawnerbottombypushing thehandle(pos. 3).
6.Open thedeawnerlid (pos. 2) and pourin thesample.
7.Closethelid(pos.2)
8.Pressswitch pos.1toONposition and thecleaningwill start.Ifnodeawning isde-
sired, theoutletcanbemanuallyopenedbypushing therightswitch(pos. 1)topos.

9.Aftertherequireddeawningtimetheoutlet(pos. 3) isautomaticallyopened.
10.Aftercompletedcleaninglift cover(pos. 2).
11.Thegoodgrainand theundersized grain areweighedand%impuritiescalculated. (%
balanceread)
12.Checkthatsievesarekeptclean. Ifnecessarysievescan becleaned withabrushor
bylightknockingwith astickon thetwo uppersieves(pos.12and 13).
Changing ofsieves
1.Pushswitch (pos. 1) to OFF position.
2.Liftthetwospringson frontofsieveto uprightpositionand pull thesieveout.
3.Push inthenewsievewith thesmoothsurfaceupwards. Ontheuppersievethenon-
perforated edgetofrontofcleaner,thesecond sievewiththenon-perforatededgeto
rearofcleaner.
4.On thegrading screen (pos. 14), liftthePlexiglascoverandpull outthesieve.Push
inthenewsievewith thenon-perforated towardstherearand thesmooth surface
up.
5.Movedown thespringsand lock.

Airregulation
Airflowshouldbesetwith airregulator(pos. 10) and should beashigh aspossible
withoutremovingwholekernels.
Regulation ofdeawnertime
Deawning timeissetwiththepotentiometer(pos.17)on thefrontplate.Deawnertime
forwinterbarleyupto30seconds,summerbarleynormally15 seconds.Wheat15 sec-
ondsbutifwithchaff up to 30 seconds.Oatandryedo notnormallyneedto bede-
awned.
Peas,Beans, Sunflowerandrapeneedsno deawning. Maize15seconds,butonlyif
plantpartsinthesample.
Regulation ofoutlettimefromdeawner
Itisimportantthattheoutlethandle(pos. 4) issetsothatthemin.timeforgrain to
passfromdeawneron to thesievesis18- 20 seconds.Seeaboutsettingpage5.When
using theextensionhoppertheoutlethandlecanregulatethedeawnertime
Deawnerpins
Forbarleyand othergrainsuse33 mmpins, formaizebeansetc. use28-mm pins.(Op-
tion)
Rubberballs
Thegrading sieve(thirdsieve) iskeptclean byrubberballs. Therubberballsareplaced
inthreeseparatesections; thereare10ineach section.

MAINTENANCEAND TROUBLESHOOTING
Notethatno partsshouldbegreased!
Ifthedeawnerbottomdoesnotopenwhenactivated,presswithyourrighthandthumb
onthereleasebolt(pos. 3) and thenactivatethemagnetbypushing contact(pos.1)to
pos.man, thenremoveyourthumb and thebottomopens.
Ifthemagnetdoesnotpull,open thebottomgatebypressing up underthelockabove
thereleasebolt(pos. 3).
Ifthemagnetdoesnotwork,call yourelectrician. Ablown fuse, thecontactorabroken
wireprobablycausestheproblem.Thefusesarein theelectricalboxunderthebottom
screens.In casethemagnethasbeenunscrewed, itmustbeadjustedsothatitjustre-
leasesthebolt.
