Philips UV-C disinfection1air cleaner
This user manual provides important warnings and information on the proper application and operation of
this UV-C appliance. You should always operate this UV-C appliance in accordance with this user manual.
1. A decay test conducted at Innovative Bioanalysis Lab, conducted in a 18m3test chamber whose air was contaminated with the SARS-
COV-2 virus resulted in a higher than 99% reduction after 90 minutes of operation. Additionally, a decay test conducted at CAS Testing
Technical Services (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., conducted in a 20m3test chamber whose air was contaminated with the bacteria Staphylo-
coccus albus resulted in a higher than 99% reduction after 2 hours of operation. The same test was conducted in a 30m3test chamber
whose air was contaminated with inuenza A (H1N1) virus, yielding a higher than 99% reduction after 2 hours of operation.
Product introduction
* The light indicates white in standby mode, and getting brighter and fading constantly during the normal working mode.
If the light indicates red, then that means that the appliance has malfunctioned. In that case, please discontinue use of the
product, unplug it, and and contact our customer service. Please do not attempt to x anything yourself. (product depiction

Operation caution:
1. Use only as described in this user manual.
2. This UV-C appliance is only intended for household use under normal operating conditions.
3. There are a number of variables that may impact UV-C disinfection eectiveness, including room size, airow, humidity,
lamp age, and intensity and duration of exposure.
4. Always place and use this UV-C appliance on a dry, stable and horizontal surface.
5. This UV-C appliance should only be used in a stable upright position.
6. The UV-C lamp is not replaceable. If the light indicates red, the appliance has malfunctioned, you will need to replace the
entire appliance.
7. Only use this UV-C appliance indoors.
8. Do not sit or stand on the appliance, do not place anything on top of the appliance.
9. Avoid knocking against the appliance (the air inlet and outlet in particular) with hard objects.
10. Leave at least 20cm free space around the appliance and leave at least 30cm free space above the appliance.
11. Do not place the appliance directly below an air conditioner to prevent condensation from dripping on to the appliance.

12. Do not spill liquid into air outlet vent and control panel to prevent malfunctioning of the appliance.
13. Do not block the air inlet and outlet, e.g. by placing items on the air outlet or in front of the air inlet.
14. Do not insert your ngers or objects into the air outlet or the air inlet to prevent physical injury or malfunctioning of
the appliance.
15. Do not use the appliance near gas appliance, heating devices or replaces.
16. Always unplug the appliance when you want to move, clean appliance, clean the lter or carry out other maintenance.
17. Do not leave the UV-C appliance plugged in when not in use. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
18. Do not use if the cord or the plug is damaged. If the UV-C appliance is not working as it should such as a result of the
appliance having been dropped, being damaged, being left outdoors or being dropped into water the light will indicate red,
and you should return it to customer service. Do not attempt to x or repair the appliance yourself.
19. Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do
not roll the cord around the appliance when in use. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
20. Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
21. Do not handle plug or UV-C appliance with wet hands.
22. The cord is not replaceable.
23. Turn o all controls before unplugging.
24. Keep the UV-C appliance away from sources of re.
25. Do not dismantle this UV-C appliance.
26. If the light indicates red, that means that the appliance has malfunctioned. Out of caution, please unplug this device and
ventilate the room for 30 minutes, then contact customer service. Do not attempt to x, replace and/or repair the product
yourself.

1. This UV-C appliance is not approved and/or certied as a medical device, nor is intended to be used for any medical
purpose or in medical settings.
2. Signify excludes any and all liability for any improper use of this appliance, including its use for medical purpose and/or in
medical settings.
3. This appliance is not a toy. Not intended for use by children under 12 years of age. Close attention is necessary when used
by or near children.
Control panel:
* Under 1hour, 2hours and 4 hours mode, the appliance runs with maximum fan speed.
** Under the silent mode , the appliance always keeps working with low fan speed.

Operation guide:
1. Plug in the appliance, the LED indicators of disinfection period are rotating, the appliance is ready to work.
2. Press the power button to start the disinfection routine.
3. Press the timer button to select among 1 hour , 2 hours, 4 hours and silent mode.
4. Please unplug the appliance when routine completes.
· Press the timer button again to reset work duration during the disinfect routine.
· Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to stop during the disinfection routine.
· From time to time (for instance, every 3 months), and to ensure that your appliance remains eective, you should clean the
dust lter. Please unplug before you clean the dust lter. Take out dust lter from bottom side, rinse it with water or using a
soft brush. Install the dust lter back into the appliance until it is dry.
Recommended Application Guidelines:
1. Assuming the room is 2.4m in height.
2. Two decay tests were conducted on the UV-C disinfection air cleaner in laboratory settings. The rst of these tests was conducted at
Innovative Bioanalysis Laboratory, in a 18m3test chamber whose air was contaminated with the SARS-COV-2 virus. Its results have
shown a higher than 99% reduction of the virus after 90 minutes of operation. The second of these tests was conducted at CAS
Testing Technical Services (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., in a 20m3test chamber whose air was contaminated with the bacteria Staphylo-
coccus albus. Its results have shown a higher than 99% reduction after 2 hours of operation. The same decay test was conducted in
a 30m3test chamber whose air was contaminated with inuenza A (H1N1) virus, yielding a higher than 99% reduction after 2 hours of
operation. These recommended disinfection periods are based upon the parameters of these two tests (e.g., the area and volume
of the test chambers, the pathogens that were tested, among other factors) as well the fact that they were conducted in laboratory,
controlled settings. Disinfection ecacy rates may vary if these parameters materially dier in actual situations.
3. The recommended disinfection periods are only applicable for the 1 hour, 2 hours and 4 hours disinfection cycle modes, and not for
the silent disinfection mode.
