Important
Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and save it for future reference.
Check if the voltage indicated on the type plate corresponds to the local mains voltage
before you connect the appliance.
Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.
Do not use the appliance if the plug, the cord, the supply hose or the appliance itself shows
visible damage, or if the appliance has been dropped or leaks.
Check the cord and the supply hose regularly for possible damage.
If the mains cord or the supply hose is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a
service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the mains.
Never immerse the iron or the steam tank in water.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Always place and use the iron and the steam tank on a stable, level and horizontal surface.
Do not put the steam tank on the soft part of the ironing board.
Only use this iron with the stand supplied.
Do not let the mains cord and supply hose come into contact with the soleplate when it is
hot.
The iron stand and the soleplate of the iron can become extremely hot and may cause burns
if touched. If you want to move the steam tank, do not touch the stand.
When you have nished ironing, when you clean the appliance, when you ll or empty the
water tank and also when you leave the iron even for a short while: put the iron on the iron
stand, set the iron switch and the steam tank switch to ‘off’ and remove the mains plug from
the wall socket.
If steam escapes from under the steam tank cap when the appliance heats up, switch off the
appliance and tighten the steam tank cap. If steam continues to escape when the
appliance heats up, switch off the appliance and contact a service centre authorised by Philips.
Do not remove the cap from the steam tank when the steam tank is still hot. Follow the
instructions given later in this manual.
Do not use any other cap on the steam tank than the cap that has been supplied with the
appliance, as this cap also functions as a safety valve.

This appliance is intended for household use only.

This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic elds (EMF). If handled
properly and in accordance with the instructions in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use
according to scientic evidence available today.

1 Remove any sticker or protective foil from the soleplate and clean the soleplate with a soft
cloth.
2 Fully unwind the mains cord and supply hose.
3 Place the steam tank on a stable, level surface.
4 Place the iron on the iron stand.

Filling the steam tank
Never immerse the steam tank in water.
Do not open the steam tank cap when the iron and the steam tank are still hot.
Do not put perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids or other chemicals in the steam
tank.
1 Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
2 Slowly unscrew the steam tank cap (Fig. 2).
Note:You may hear a sound when you remove the cap.This sound is caused by the vacuum or residual
pressure inside the steam tank and is perfectly normal.
3 Fill the steam tank with tap water up to the maximum level (max. 1 litre) (Fig. 3).
Note: If the tap water in your area is very hard, we advise you to mix it with an equal portion of distilled
water, or to use distilled water only.
4 Wipe away any water round the lling hole after lling.
5 Screw the cap tightly onto the lling aperture of the steam tank.

If the steam tank becomes empty during ironing, follow the procedure below to quickly rell the
steam tank.
GC6360 only: the ‘steam tank empty’ light indicates that you need to rell the steam tank.
1 Keep the appliance plugged into the mains and make sure the iron switch is set
to ‘on’. (Fig. 4)
2 Set the steam tank switch to ‘off’.
3 Press the steam activator until you no longer hear any steam escape from the
appliance (Fig. 5).
4 Place a piece of cloth over the steam tank cap.
5 Keep the steam activator pressed in and slowly unscrew the steam tank cap by turning it
anticlockwise.

This depressurises the steam tank.
6 Make sure there is no steam left in the steam tank.
7 Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
8 Let the appliance cool down for approx. 2 minutes.
9 Fill the steam tank as described in section ‘Filling the steam tank’ and let the appliance heat
up again.

1 Put the iron on the iron stand.
2 To set the required ironing temperature, turn the temperature dial to the appropriate
position (Fig. 6).
Check the laundry care label for the required ironing temperature:

If you do not know what kind or kinds of fabric an article is made of, determine the right ironing
temperature by ironing a part that is not visible when you wear or use the article.
Silk, woollen and synthetic materials: iron the reverse side of the fabric to prevent shiny patches.
Start ironing the articles that require the lowest ironing temperature, such as those made of
synthetic bres.
3 Put the mains plug in an earthed wall socket and set both the steam tank switch and the iron
switch to ‘on’. (Fig. 7)
The steam tank and iron power-on lights go on.The temperature light on the iron also goes
on.
The steam tank and the soleplate start to heat up.
Note:The iron is hot enough when the temperature light goes out.
Note: If you have ironed at a high temperature and then set the temperature dial to a lower setting, wait
until the temperature light goes on again before you continue ironing.This prevents damage to your
fabrics.
Note: During ironing, the temperature light goes on from time to time.This indicates that the iron is
heating up to the right temperature.
Tips
If the fabric consists of various kinds of bres, always select the temperature required by the
most delicate bre, i.e. the lowest temperature. For example: if an article consists of 60%
polyester and 40% cotton, it must be ironed at the temperature indicated for polyester ( 1) and
without steam.

When you steam iron woollen fabrics, shiny patches may occur.To prevent this, use a dry
pressing cloth or turn the article inside out and iron the reverse side.
Iron velvet and other fabrics that tend to acquire shiny patches in one direction only (along with
the nap) while you apply very little pressure.
Do not use steam when you iron coloured silk.This could cause stains.
Using the appliance
Steam ironing
Never direct the steam at people.
Steam ironing is only possible at higher ironing temperatures (temperature settings 2to
MAX).
1 Make sure that there is enough water in the steam tank.
2 Select an ironing temperature between 2and MAX.
3 Select a steam setting suitable for the selected ironing temperature: (Fig. 8)
Select a low to medium steam setting for temperature setting 2.
Select a medium to MAX steam setting for temperature settings 3to MAX.
Note:You cannot use the steam function at temperature setting 1.
4 Put the mains plug in an earthed wall socket and set both the steam tank switch and the iron
switch to ‘on’.
The steam tank and iron power-on lights go on.The temperature light on the iron also goes
on.
The steam tank and the soleplate start to heat up.
Cold start: the soleplate takes approximately 2 minutes to heat up and the steam tank takes
approximately 8 minutes to heat up.
Quick reheat: if you rell the steam tank during ironing, the water in the steam tank takes
approximately 6 minutes to heat up.
5 As soon as the water in the steam tank is hot enough for steam ironing, the steam tank
power-on light goes out.The steam-ready light goes on (GC6360 only).
The appliance is now ready for steam ironing.
6 Keep the steam activator pressed in while you steam iron. (Fig. 5)
Note: During steam ironing, the steam-ready light goes on from time to time.This indicates that the
steam tank is heating up to the right temperature.
Note: If you have not used the steam function for some time, the steam that was still present in the
supply hose will have condensed into water.When you start to steam iron again, this can cause some
spluttering in the appliance and some water droplets to escape from the soleplate.
Note:To prevent droplets from falling onto your garments, hold the iron over an old cloth. Press the steam
activator until the steam production has normalised before you start to steam iron again.

Do not press the steam activator while you iron.
1 Set the required ironing temperature (see chapter ‘Preparing for use’, section ‘Setting the
temperature’).
2 Put the mains plug in an earthed wall socket and set the iron switch to ‘on’.
The soleplate starts to heat up.

3 Iron without pressing the steam activator.
If you press the steam activator by accident while you iron, some steam will escape.To avoid
this, set the steam tank switch to ‘off’ to cut off the steam supply completely.
If the steam tank is empty or has not heated up yet, you hear a clicking sound inside the tank.
This phenomenon is caused by the opening of the steam valve and is perfectly harmless.
After ironing
1 Set the iron switch to ‘on’ and the steam tank switch to ‘off’. (Fig. 4)
2 Press the steam activator until you no longer hear any steam escape from the
appliance (Fig. 9).
The steam tank is now depressurised.
3 Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
4 Put the iron on the iron stand, set the steam control to MIN and let the appliance cool down
before you start to clean it.

Vertical steam ironing
Never direct the steam at people.
To steam iron hanging curtains and clothes (jackets, suits, coats), hold the iron in vertical
position (Fig. 10).
1 Press the steam activator.
Variable steam
The steam control is continuously adjustable and can be set to any position between MIN and MAX
(see chapter ‘Preparing for use’).
’Steam tank empty’ light (GC6360 only)
When the water in the steam tank runs out during use, the ‘steam tank empty’ light goes on.
1 Rell the steam tank with water (see chapter ‘Preparing for use’).
Steam-ready light (GC6360 only)
When the steam tank is ready for steam ironing, the steam-ready light goes on.
Steam boost (GC6360 only)
Never direct the steam at people.
The powerful steam boost helps to remove stubborn creases.
1 Set the temperature dial to a position between 3and MAX.
2 Press the steam boost button (Fig. 11).
Note: Some water droplets may occasionally come out of the soleplate when you use the steam boost
function.To prevent this, always use the steam function before you use the steam boost function.
Cleaning and maintenance
Iron
Let the appliance cool down sufciently before you clean the iron.
Never immerse the iron in water nor rinse it under the tap.

1 Clean the iron with a damp cloth.
2 Wipe scale and any other deposits off the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive
(liquid) cleaner.
Steam tank
Let the appliance cool down sufciently before you remove the steam tank cap.
Rinse the steam tank once a month or after you have used the appliance approximately 10 times.
1 Carefully remove the steam tank cap (Fig. 12).
2 Rinse the steam tank with 500ml of fresh water.Then hold the steam tank upside down over
the sink to pour out the water (Fig. 13).
3 Screw the cap back onto the steam tank.
Storage
Make sure the iron has cooled down sufciently before you put it away.
1 Remove the mains plug from the wall socket and let the appliance cool down.
2 Empty the steam tank.
3 Regularly check if the mains cord and the supply hose are still undamaged and safe.
Environment
Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but
hand it in at an ofcial collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment (Fig. 14).


hot.
There is a connection problem. Check the mains cord, the plug
and the wall socket.
The steam tank is not switched on. Make sure the steam tank switch
is set to ‘on’.
The selected temperature is too low. Select a higher temperature.
The iron has not been switched on. Make sure the iron switch is set
to ‘on’.

Smoke comes
out of my new
iron when I
switch it on.
Some parts of the appliance have been
lightly greased in the factory and may
initially give off some smoke when heated.
This phenomenon is perfectly
normal and will cease after a
short while.
The iron does
not produce any
steam.
The steam tank and/or the iron may not
be switched on. Set both the iron switch and the steam tank switch to ‘on’.
There is not enough water in the water
tank. Fill the water tank (see chapter
‘Preparing for use’).
The steam tank has not heated up
sufciently. Wait for 6 to 8 minutes for the
steam tank to heat up.
The selected ironing temperature is too
low for steam ironing. Select a temperature of 2or
higher.
When the iron has been set to a very
high temperature, the steam produced is
dry and hardly visible. It will be even less
visible when the ambient temperature is
relatively high and it will be entirely
invisible when the temperature has been
set to MAX.
Set the iron to a lower
temperature, e.g. 2, to check if
the iron is actually producing
steam.
Water droplets
come out of the
soleplate.
The temperature dial may be set to a
temperature that is too low for steam
ironing.
Select an ironing temperature
that is suitable for steam ironing
(temperature settings 2to
MAX).
You may not have switched on the iron. Set the iron switch to ‘on’ and
wait until the iron is hot.
You may have placed the steam tank on
an unstable and/or uneven surface. Place the steam tank on a stable and even surface.
When you start steam ironing and when
you have stopped steam ironing for a
while, the steam that was still present in
the supply hose will have cooled down
and condensed into water, which causes
water droplets to come out of the
soleplate.
This is perfectly normal. Hold the
iron over an old cloth and press
the steam activator.The cloth
absorbs the drops.After a few
seconds, the steam production
normalises.
Water droplets
come out of the
soleplate when I
use the steam
boost function
(GC6360 only).
Steam may have condensed in the hose,
the temperature may have been set
below 3or the appliance may not be
ready for steam ironing.
Make sure the temperature is set
to 3or higher. Steam iron for
a few seconds before you use the
steam boost function.
Flakes and
impurities come
out of the
soleplate.
The iron is new. This is normal.The particles are
harmless ans stop coming out of
the soleplate when you have
used the iron a few times.

The soleplate is
dirty. You may have ironed at a temperature that is too high. Clean the soleplate with a damp cloth. Select the recommended
ironing temperature.
Impurities or chemicals present in the
water have deposited in the steam vents
and/or on the soleplate.
Clean the soleplate with a damp
cloth.
Dirty water
comes out of the
soleplate.
Too much scale and minerals have
accumulated inside the steam tank. Rinse the steam tank. See chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’.
Steam escapes
from the lling
hole area during
ironing.
You may not have tightened the steam
tank cap properly or you have spilled
some water round the lling hole.
Switch off the appliance and let it
cool down. Remove the steam
tank cap, wipe away the water
round the lling hole and tighten
the steam tank cap again.Then
switch the appliance back on.
Wet spots
appear on the
garment during
ironing.
The wet spots that appear on your
garment after you have steam ironed for
some time may be caused by steam that
has condensed onto the ironing board.
Iron the wet spots without steam for
some time to dry them. If the underside
of the ironing board is wet, wipe it with a
piece of dry cloth.
To prevent steam from
condensing onto the ironing
board, use an ironing board with
a wire mesh top.

Hvis der slipper damp ud under låget til damptanken, mens apparatet varmer op, skal du

Tag aldrig låget af damptanken, når denne stadig er under tryk. Følg anvisningerne senere i
denne manual.
Brug ikke andre låg til damptanken end det medleverede, da det samtidig fungerer som
sikkerhedsventil.

Elektromagnetiske felter (EMF)

Klargøring
Fyldning af damptanken
Damptanken må aldrig kommes ned i vand.
Tag ikke låget af damptanken, så længe strygejern og damptank er varme.
Hæld ikke parfume, eddike, stivelse, afkalkningsmiddel, strygemidler eller andre kemikalier i
damptanken.
1 Tag stikket ud af stikkontakten.
2 Skru låget til damptanken forsigtigt af (g. 2).
Bemærk: Der kan forekomme en lyd, når du fjerner låget. Lyden skyldes det vakuum eller resttryk, der er
i damptanken, og er helt normal.
3 Fyld damptanken med vand fra vandhanen op til MAX-markeringen (maks. 1 liter) (g. 3).
Bemærk: Hvis postevandet i dit lokalområde er meget hårdt, anbefales det at bruge lige del postevand og
lige dele destilleret vand eller udelukkende destilleret vand..
4 Tør overskydende vand omkring påfyldningshullet væk efter påfyldning.
5 Skru låget godt fast på damptankens påfyldningsåbning.

Hvis damptanken bliver tom under strygningen, skal du følge denne fremgangsmåde for hurtigt at
fylde den igen.
Kun GC6360: Lysindikatoren for tom damptank viser, at damptanken skal fyldes.
1 Lad apparatet være tilsluttet lysnettet, og sørg for at strygejernet er tændt. (g. 4)
2 Sluk for damptanken.
3 Tryk på dampaktiveringsknappen, indtil du ikke længere kan høre, at der slipper damp ud fra
apparatet (g. 5).

4 Læg et stykke stof henover låget til damptanken.
5 Hold dampaktiveringsknappen trykket ned, og skru låget til damptanken forsigtigt af ved at
dreje det mod uret.
Herved fjernes trykket fra damptanken.
6 Sørg for, at der ikke er noget damp tilbage i damptanken.
7 Tag stikket ud af stikkontakten.
8 Lad apparatet afkøle i ca. 2 minutter.
9 Fyld damptanken som beskrevet i afsnittet “Påfyldning af damptanken”, og lad apparatet
varme op igen.

1 Stil strygejernet i holderen.
2 Indstil den ønskede strygetemperatur ved at dreje temperaturvælgeren (g. 6).
Kontrollér tøjets vaskemærke, og nd den rette strygetemperatur.

Er du i tvivl om, hvilket materiale et stykke tøj er fremstillet af, må du nde den rette
strygetemperatur ved at prøve dig frem et sted, som ikke er synligt, når du har tøjet på.
Silke, uld eller kunststof: Stryg tøjet på vrangen for at undgå blanke skjolder.
Begynd med at stryge det tøj, som kræver den laveste temperatur, dvs. det, som er fremstillet af
kunststof.
3 Sæt stikket i en jordet stikkontakt, og tænd for både damptanken og strygejernet. (g. 7)
Damptankens og strygejernets kontrollamper tænder.Temperaturindikatoren på strygejernet
tænder også.
Damptanken og strygesålen varmer nu op.
Bemærk: Når temperaturindikatoren slukker, har strygejernet den rette temperatur.
Bemærk: Hvis du har strøget ved høj temperatur og derefter indstiller temperaturvælgeren til en lavere
temperatur, skal du vente, indtil temperaturindikatoren tænder igen, før du fortsætter med at stryge for
at undgå at beskadige tøjet.
Bemærk: Under strygningen tænder og slukker temperaturindikatoren fra tid til anden. Dette indikerer
blot, at strygejernet opvarmes til den indstillede temperatur.

Hvis stoffet er fremstillet af ere slags bre, skal du altid vælge den temperatur, som passer til
den sarteste bertype, dvs. den laveste temperatur. Hvis et stykke tøj f.eks. består af 60%
polyester og 40% bomuld, skal det stryges ved den temperatur, som passer til polyester ( 1), og
uden damp.
Når du stryger uldstoffer, kan der opstå blanke skjolder. For at undgå dette skal du bruge en tør
klud til at lægge imellem eller vende vrangen ud på tøjet og stryge det på bagsiden.
Fløjl og andre stoffer, som har tendens til at få blanke skjolder, bør kun stryges i én retning (med
luven) og kun med et let tryk.
Undlad at bruge damp ved strygning af indfarvede silkestoffer, da det kan give skjolder på tøjet.

Dampstrygning
Ret aldrig dampstrålen mod personer.
Dampstrygning er kun mulig ved høje strygetemperaturer (temperaturindstillingerne 2til
MAX).
1 Sørg for, at der er nok vand i damptanken.
2 Vælg en strygetemperatur mellem 2og MAX.
3 Vælg den dampindstilling, som passer til den valgte strygetemperatur: (g. 8)
Vælg lav til medium dampindstilling til temperaturindstillingen 2.

4 Sæt stikket i en jordet stikkontakt, og tænd for både damptanken og strygejernet.
Damptankens og strygejernets kontrollamper tænder.Temperaturindikatoren på strygejernet
tænder også.
Damptanken og strygesålen varmer nu op.
Koldstart: Det tager ca. 2 minutter at varme strygesålen op, og ca. 8 minutter at opvarme
damptanken.
Hurtig genopvarmning: Hvis du fylder nyt vand på damptanken under strygningen, tager det ca. 6
minutter at opvarme damptanken.
5 Så snart vandet i damptanken er varmt nok til dampstrygning, slukker kontrollampen i
kontakten til damptanken. Lysindikatoren for damp klar tænder (kun GC6360).
Apparatet er nu parat til dampstrygning.
6 Hold dampaktiveringsknappen trykket ned under dampstrygning. (g. 5)
Bemærk: Under dampstrygning tænder lysindikatoren for damp klar indimellem. Dette indikerer, at
damptanken opvarmes til den valgte temperatur.
Bemærk: Har du ikke brugt dampfunktionen i et stykke tid, er den resterende damp i dampslangen,
fortættet til vand. Når du begynder at dampstryge igen, kan det få strygejernet til at sprutte, og der kan
dryppe et par vanddråber ud igennem strygesålen.
Bemærk: For at undgå at der drypper vand på tøjet, holdes strygejernet over en gammel klud og
dampaktiveringsknappen holdes nede, indtil dampproduktionen er blevet normal. Herefter kan
dampstrygningen fortsættes.

Undlad at trykke på dampaktiveringsknappen, mens du stryger.
1 Indstil den anbefalede strygetemperatur (se afsnittet “Klargøring” under
“Temperaturindstilling”).
2 Sæt stikket i en jordet stikkontakt, og tænd for strygejernet.
Strygesålen varmer nu op.
3 Stryg uden at trykke på dampaktiveringsknappen.
Hvis du ved et uheld får trykket på dampaktiveringsknappen mens du stryger, så vil der slippe
lidt damp ud. For at undgå dette skal du slukke for damptanken, så dampforsyningen afbrydes
fuldstændig.
Hvis damptanken er tom eller endnu ikke er varmet op, høres en klikkende lyd inde fra
tanken. Det skyldes, at dampventilen åbnes og er ganske harmløst.

1 Tænd for strygejernet og sluk for damptanken. (g. 4)
2 Tryk på dampaktiveringsknappen, indtil du ikke længere kan høre, at der slipper damp ud fra
apparatet (g. 9).
Damptanken er ikke længere under tryk.
3 Tag stikket ud af stikkontakten.
4 Stil strygejernet på standeren, indstil dampvælgeren på MIN, og lad apparatet køle af, før du
begynder at rengøre det.

Lodret dampstrygning
Ret aldrig dampstrålen mod personer.
Du kan dampe gardiner og tøj på bøjle (jakker, kjoler og frakker) ved at holde strygejernet i
lodret position (g. 10).
1 Tryk på dampaktiveringsknappen.
Variabel damp
Dampvælgeren har trinløs regulering og kan indstilles til en hvilken som helst position mellem MIN
og MAX (se afsnittet “Klargøring”).

Når damptanken løber tør for vand under strygningen, tænder lysindikatoren for tom damptank.
1 Fyld nyt vand i damptanken (se afsnittet “Klargøring”).

Når damptanken er klar til dampstrygning, tænder lysindikatoren for damp klar.

Ret aldrig dampstrålen mod personer.
Det effektive dampskud hjælper med at fjerne genstridige folder.
1 Drej temperaturvælgeren til en position mellem 3og MAX.
2 Tryk på dampskudsknappen (g. 11).

Bemærk: Der drypper måske lidt vand ud fra strygesålen, når du benytter dampskudsfunktionen. For at
undgå dette skal du altid benytte dampfunktionen, før du benytter dampskudsfunktionen.
Rengøring og vedligeholdelse
Strygejern
Lad apparatet køle tilstrækkeligt af, inden du rengør strygejernet.
Strygejernet må aldrig kommes ned i vand eller skylles under vandhanen.
1 Rengør strygejernet med en fugtig klud.
2 Tør strygesålen af med en fugtig klud med lidt ikke-ridsende (ydende) rengøringsmiddel.
Damptank
Lad apparatet køle tilstrækkeligt af, inden du fjerner låget til damptanken.
Skyl damptanken én gang om måneden, eller efter ca. 10 ganges brug.
1 Fjern damptankens låg forsigtigt (g. 12).
2 Skyl damptanken med 500 ml rent vand. Hold derefter damptanken ind over vasken med
bunden i vejret for at hælde vandet ud igen (g. 13).
3 Skru låget på igen.
Opbevaring
Kontrollér, at strygejernet er kølet tilstrækkeligt af, før du stiller det væk.
1 Tag stikket ud af stikkontakten, og lad apparatet afkøle.
2 Tøm damptanken.
3 Kontrollér regelmæssigt at både netledning og dampslange er hel og ubeskadiget.
Miljøhensyn
Apparatet må ikke smides ud sammen med det almindelige husholdningsaffald, når det til sin
tid kasseres. Aevér det i stedet på en kommunal genbrugsstation. På den måde er du med til
at beskytte miljøet (g. 14).

Nogle af de indre dele i strygejernet
er smurt med olie fra fabrikkens
side, og det kan afgive lidt røg, når
det bruges første gang.
Dette er helt normalt og
forsvinder efter kort tid.
Strygejernet producerer
ingen damp. Damptanken og/eller strygejernet er muligvis ikke tændt. Sæt både kontakten på strygejern og damptank på “on”.
Der er ikke nok vand i vandtanken. Fyld vandtanken (se afsnittet
“Klargøring”).
Damptanken er ikke varmet
tilstrækkeligt op. Vent i 6-8 minutter, indtil
damptanken er varmet op.
Den valgte strygetemperatur er for
lav til dampstrygning. Vælg en temperatur på 2
eller højere.
Når strygejernet er indstillet på en
meget høj temperatur, er den
producerede damp tør og næsten
usynlig. Dampen bliver mere og
mere usynlig, jo højere
temperaturen er - og helt usynlig,
når temperaturvælgeren står på
MAX.
Vælg en lavere temperatur, f.eks.
2, for at kontrollere, om
strygejernet producerer damp.
Der drypper vand ud fra
strygesålen. Temperaturvælgeren er indstillet til en temperatur, som er for lav til
dampstrygning.
Vælg en strygetemperatur, som
egner sig til dampstrygning
(temperaturindstillinger fra 2
til MAX).
Du har muligvis ikke tændt for
strygejernet. Sæt kontakten til strygejernet på “on” og vent, indtil
strygejernet bliver varmt.
Du har muligvis placeret
damptanken på en ustabil og/eller
ujævn overade.
Stil damptanken på et stabilt og
jævnt underlag.
Når du begynder at dampstryge og
holder en pause, bliver den damp,
der stadig var i dampslangen, kølet
ned og omdannet til kondensvand,
som kan dryppe ud fra strygesålen.
Det er helt normalt. Hold
strygejernet hen over en
gammel klud og tryk på
dampaktiveringsknappen.
Kluden opsuger dråberne. Efter
nogle sekunder er
dampproduktionen igen normal.
