TIP! Because sometimes a third hand is useful, have second person around!
Gas spring (item 54, yellow highlighted in the drawing on page 2)
•
Put the appliance in the position as shown below
•
Hinge the radiation units outwards and remove the round decorative plastic clamp (item 53) with a
small flat screwdriver.
•
Place a hand on the handle between the hinges and press the radiation units completely down.
•
Use a plastic hammer to tap pin (A) outwards while CONTINUING TO EXERT DOWNWARD
PRESSURE ON THE STAND! (a second person comes in handy).
•
Hinge the radiation units inwards again and raise the stand slowly - moving the radiation unit along
by means of the handle between the hinges.
•
Now pull the stand and the radiation unit through so far that the radiation units rests vertically on the
floor.
•
The gas spring (item 54) is now unloaded so that pin (B) can be easily removed after removing the
clamp on one side.
•
Place the new gas spring with pin (C) in the hinged part. The pin is placed under the connection
cable.
•
Assemble the protecting cover (item 56) and press pin (B) back into place again.
•
Lift the radiation unit by its handle and check whether the gas spring with pin (C) is correctly
supported in the fork of the hinged part.
•
Press the hinged part against the spring pressure, moving the radiation unit align at the same time
until the whole unit is in fully folded position again.
•
Continue to exert pressure but let the radiation units rise as much as is needed to hinge the radiation
units outwards.
•
After hinging the radiation units outwards, press fully down again.
•
Align with the handle and assemble pin (A).
•
Put the appliance in fully unfolded operating position, and assemble the remaining clamps.
