are using a battery
operated hair removal system

the first time, or if you've been using a different

skin may need time to adapt. Give
yourself a
li tt le ti me to practi ce and determine the
best motions for the best results.

Before Using
t Use this appliance for its intended household
use as described
in this manua l.
t Before using, check trimming head for wear or
damage. If the trimming head shows signs
of wear or damage, do not use the Precision
Pen Trimmer as injury may occur.
t Be certain that your skin is clean. If you have
sensitive skin, you may wish
to apply talcum
powder before and/or after use.
t It is not necessary to press hard to get a close
result. Pressing
too hard may cause skin
irritation, and
the Precision Pen Trimmer will
not function properly. In addition, do not use
deodorant or alcohol-based lot i ons
immediately before or after using. You may,
however, want to use talcum powder.
t Clean the Precision Pen Trimmer regularly, for
instructions
see chapter 'Cleaning'.
t Do not use the Precision Pen Trimmer in the
shower or bath as it is not water-resistant.

Inserting the Battery
t Make sure your hands and Precision Pen
Trimmer
are dry when inserting the battery .
t This appliance requi
res 1 "AAA" 1.5 volt
alkaline
or carbon zinc battery (not included).
t Keep
the appliance at a temperature between
40°F and 1 00°F.
t Do not keep the appliance in direct sunlight.
D Make sure the Precision Pen Trimmer is in
the Off position.
II Remove the battery compartment by turning
and pulling it
downwards (fig. 1).
II Put the battery in the battery compartment as
shown, making
sure the (+) and (-) markings
on the end of the battery are po inting in the
ri ght direction (fig. 2).
E) If the batteries are not inserted proper l y, the
appliance wi ll not work.
D Push the battery compartment cover back
onto the Precision Pen Trimmer.

If the appliance wi ll not be used on a regul ar
basis, remove the battery when storing the
appliance to prevent possible damage due to
chemical leakage
t
If the battery does leak, remove carefully.
Never allow your bare skin to come into
contact with the leaking fluid.

Using the Precision Pen Trimmer
t You can use the appliance to shave any
unwanted hairs on your face and body.
t T est the Precision Pen Trimmer on a small area
of your arm or leg. If any sensitivity occurs ,
discontinue using immediately.
Do not use the
Precision Pen Tri mmer on sensitive or irritated
skin.
t T urn app liance off be f ore putting on or taking
off
attachments or cleaning.
D Remove the protect ive cap and switch the
Precision Pen Tri mmer ON (fig. 3).
D Place the trimming head gently on the sk in
and move the appliance slowly over the sk in
agai nst the direction of the hair growth (fig. 4).
t Make sure that the trimm ing head is in
comp lete contact with the sk in.
t For optimum hair removal, pull skin taut with
one hand wh ile using.
Eyebrow trimmer att ac hment
D P ut the eyebrow tr i mmer attachment around
the trimming hea d.T here are 2 trimming
lengths
to choose from:
t For trimming hairs 5/64 in/2mm, place the
attachment wi th the shorter sl ots over the
trimming head (fig .5).
t For trimming hairs 5/32 in/4mm, place the
attachment wi th the longer slots over the
trimming head (fig. 6).
D Switch the appliance ON.
D Place the trimming head with the eyebrow
trimmer attachment on the outs i de of your
eyebrow (fig. 7).
D Move the appliance slowly over your
eyebrow in the di rection of your nose .
II T urn appliance OFF when finished.
Adjusta bl e guide att ac hm e nt
t T he adjustable guide attachment lets you
custom
iz e how much of the trimmer is ex posed
so that you can remove single hairs, or hairs in a
sma
ll area on your face and body, easi ly. The
adjustable guide can click into three different
pos itions.
D Put the adjustable guide attachment around
the trimming head (fig. 8).
D Switch the appliance O N.
D Place the tr imming head with the adjustable
guide
attachment gently on the sk in.
D Move the appliance slowly over the skin
agai
nst the di rection of the hair growth of
the single hairs you want to shave.
t Ma ke sure that the tr i mm ing head wi th the
adjustable guide attachment is in com pl ete
c ontact with the skin.

Cleaning and Maintenance
t Always switch Precision Pen Trimmer off before
cleaning.

Do not apply pressure or touch trimming head
with hard objects as this
may dent or damage
trimming head.

Never clean, remove or replace tr imming head
or attachments while motor is on.

Check the trimming head regularl y.
t If damage occurs, replace the trimming head.
t Neveruse

damaged or broken.
After Each U se
t Clean the Precision Pen Trimmer every time
you have used it.

Do not use any corrosive detergents, scouring
pads
or cloths, nail polish remover etc. to clean
the appliance. Water will cause damage to the
appliance.
D Switch the appliance OFF.
f) Carefully remove the trimming head (fig . 9).
I] Use a small brush to wipe away any hair or
dust (fig. 10).
() Replace the trimming head after cleaning
(fig.11).

sure the appliance is st ill in the off position.

for storage.
t Foroptimal performance,lubricate the trimming
head with a drop
of sewing machine oil twice a

Using the Smart Tweezers
t Your SmartTweezers with integrated light
allows for easy removal
of facial hair such as
your eyebrows.
0 Clean your eyebrows with skin tonic or
alcohol to prevent eyebrow hair from sl ipping
away between
the tweezers arms.
D Use a warm face cloth to soften the skin
before tweezing. This makes hair removal
easier.
D Brush your eyebrows in the direction of
growth.
D Use an eye pencil to mark the desired shape
of your eyebrows. Remove any hairs outs i de
the marked shape.
0 Remove tweezers from case.
0 Switch on the light by pressing the on/off
button once.
D Pull out each hair in the direction of hair
growth.
Note : Always pull out hairs one by one.
Do not use the SmartTweezers to remove hairs
that grow out of mo les.
Do not point the l ig ht of the Smart Tweezers
directly
at your or somebody else's eyes.
D Turn off SmartTweezers light.
Cleaning the Smart Tweezers
t The Smart Tweezers should be cleaned after
each use.
0 Make sure SmartTweezers is turned OFF.
D Clean tweezers arms by wiping gent ly with a
damp cloth. Allow
to air dry.
Storage
t For safe storage, put the SmartTweezers in
the supplied case.

t Make sure your hands are dry when removing
or inserting batteries.
t The Smart Tweezers requi re 3 Alkaline Button
Ce ll SR41 batteries.
t Keep the batteries out of reach of children and
pets. They could
present a chok ing hazard.
t Dispose used batteries in accordance with local
regulations.
D Ho ld the SmartTweezers upside down.
D Open the battery and light compartment by
turning
the bottom counter-clockwi se with a
coin
(Fig. 1).
0 Remove the old batteries and dispose
proper l y.
D Insert the new batteries with the negative
side pointing f
orward into the battery and
li
ght compartment (Fig. 2).
D Screw the bottom back onto the battery and
light
compartment by turning clockwise with
a coin
(Fig. 3).
