Troubleshooting:
Problem Possible cause Solution
1. The robot doesnot start
cleaning when I press the
start/stop button.
a. The rechargeable battery is
empty.
• Charge the rechargeable battery (see
“Preparing for use” in the Direction for Use).
2. The robot does not respond
when I press the buttons.
a. The robot could not nd the
docking station and the battery
ran out.
• Place the robot on the plugged-in docking
station. After a few seconds, the robot beeps
and the green light ashes on the docking
station and the blue light on the robot is
ashing.
3. The robot beeped and
stopped.
a. One or both wheels are stuck.
b. One or both side brushes are
stuck.
c. The robot was lifted while it
was cleaning.
• Press the start/stop button. Remove the
u, hair, thread or wire that is caught around
the wheel suspension. Otherwise return the
appliance to a repair center.
• Clean the side brushes (see “Cleaning the
robot” in the Direction for use).
• Press the start/stop button. Place the robot on
the oor. Then press the start/stop button to
make the robot resume cleaning.
4. The robot does not clean
properly.
a. The bristles of one or both side
brushes are crooked or bent.
b. The lter in the dust container
is dirty.
c. The suction opening in the
bottom of the dust container is
clogged.
d. The front wheel is jammed with
hair or other dirt.
e. The robot is cleaning a very
dark or shiny surface, which
triggers the drop-o sensors.
This causes the robot to move
in an unusual pattern.
• Soak the brush or brushes in warm water for
a while. If this does not restore the bristles to
their proper shape, replace the side brushes
(see :”Replacing the sicde brushes” in Direction
for use).
• Disassemble the lter unit Clean the dust lter
and the EPA lter with the small brush. You can
also rinse the dust lter under a tap but let it
completely dry before placing back.
If cleaning the EPA lter does not help anymore,
replace the lter with a new one. We advise you
to replace the EPA lter at least once a year.
The lter is available as FC8007/01 in Europe
and FC8007/81 in China.
• Clean the suction opening (see “Cleaning the
robot” in Direction for use).
• Clean the front wheel (see “Cleaning the robot”
in Direction for use).
• Press the start/stop button and then move the
robot to a lighter coloured piece of the oor.
If the problem continues to occur on lighter
colored oors, please to to www.philips.com/
support or contact the Consumer Care Center
in your country. Or Clean the drop-o sensors
with the small brush.
5. The rechargeable battery can
no longer be charged or runs
empty very fast.
a. The rechargeable battery has
reached the end of its life.
• Have the rechargeable battery replaced by a
Philips service center.
6. The robot is moving in circles. a. The robot is in spot-cleaning
mode.
• It is part of the auto cleaningt mode. After
approx. one minute the robot resumes its
normal cleaning pattern. You can also stop the
spot-cleaning mode by selecting a dierent
cleaning mode on the remote control.
