CHARACTERISTICS
Oscar is a unique speaker, designed to be installed suspended from the ceiling, above the
radio operator. Sound is projected down, concentrating and surrounding the operator. As
a consequence, listening concentration of the radio signals improves. Additionally, it
decreases the sound beyond the radio room and it reduces the nuisances discomfort to
the rest of the house.
Oscar is very useful in these radio shacks where it is difficult to have a suitable place for a
speaker.
It proves also convenient for those operators who need to monitor the signal of a second
receiver: either in SO2R configuration in competitions, or in monitoring the VHF band in FM
or other bands waiting for a propagation opening. Since the signal comes from a different
place than the radio speaker, it is easier to listen to two different signals.
Oscar can be used with any audio transceiver or amplifier.

INSTRUCTIONMANUAL
INSTALLATION
Oscar must be installed suspended from the ceiling. The
best position, when Oscar is going to be the main speaker, is
to hang it above the operator (see picture). Moreover, if
placed equidistant from both ears, the effect of
omnidirectionality is also achieved.
Oscar’s position is not as important in the event of
monitoring a second receiver. We recommend to test it first
to find the best position for the operator.
To install the Oscar speaker, fix a hook in the desired
position. The hook must be strong enough to support the
weight of the speaker. Pass the cable through the hook,
adjust the desired height and use the Ubolt to lock it.
Tighten just enough not to damage the cable.
Calculate the necessary cable to the radio
socket. Cut the exceeding cable if
preferred and solder the connector.
