for long periods of me. Extended exposure to any bright light can damage eyes.
• Use cauously; burns may result from improper use.
• This product is not to be used by incapacitated persons.
• Do not leave small children unaended with product.
• Do not use on areas of insensive skin.
• Do not sit on, against, or crush.
• Do not use with liniments, salves or ointments that contain heat-producing ingredients, as skin
burns could result.
• Use cauon over areas of poor circulaon, as skin burns could result.

Treatment Theory
The The Pain Reliever™ is designed to reflect the latest research in light therapy applicaons. It is
simple to use and has high treatment efficacy.
Early researchers diverged greatly, resulng in many devices and configuraons. Devices varied in
power output, wavelength, pulsed output and treatment me. Results are oen confusing and vary in
therapeuc value.
Present research has shown that energy density is the primary factor in achieving therapeuc results.
Wavelength plays a secondary, but important role. All other factors are dependent on energy density
and wavelength.
Energy density is the amount of incident energy delivered to a treatment area in a given me.
Studies have shown that therapeuc effects require an energy density of 10 to 60 joules.
Individual variaons and condions affect the actual energy required.
This energy may be delivered in 1 or 2 treatments or 10 plus treatments. Each will give similar results.
Pulsing a diode results in a reduced energy density. The diode is turned on for brief periods of me at a
very high-energy output. The pulsed frequency has minimal therapeuc effect and the required
treatment me is increased.
The The Pain Reliever™ is configured to operate in a connuous mode. This delivers a high energy
density in the shortest possible me, giving effecve treatments in 15 minutes or less.
In each of the med treatments of 15 minutes each, the energy density will be approximately 50
joules.
When treang mulple areas on your pet, allow approximately 3 to 4 hours before going back to the
same specific locaon.
Penetraon of the light energy into the ssue is governed by the wavelength. Visible red is absorbed in
the top 2 to 3 cenmeters. Infrared will penetrate ssue much deeper. Energy is diffused from the
treatment area into surrounding ssue. A visible red wavelength is best ulized for acute or chronic
skin condions, ulcerated ssues, post-operave pain and acute so ssue injuries.
An infrared wavelength will be best ulized in condions of chronic pain, inflammaon of joints and
so ssues, old injuries and scars that are painful or weather sensive. Infrared is also useful in
treang fractures and injuries involving ligaments and tendons.
The Pain Reliever™ may be ulized for both skin condions and muscle and joint pain. Treatment
