Information to User
This manual explains how to install this pro-
duct in your vehicle, other specifications and
notes for this product. For operations and wir-
ing when the navigation system is used to-
gether with this product, refer to the manuals
supplied with the navigation system.
Read this manual fully and carefully before in-
stalling your navigation system.

Pay close attention to all warnings in this
manual and follow the instructions carefully.

Do not install this product where it may (i) ob-
struct the driver's vision, (ii)
impair the perfor-
mance of any of the vehicle's operating
systems of safety features, including airbags,
hazard lamp buttons or (iii)
impairthe driver's
ability to safely operate the vehicle.
In some
cases. it may not
be possible to install this
product because of the vehicle type or the
shape of the vehicle interior.

are rou-
ted and secured so they will not interfere with
or become caught
in any of the vehicle's mov-
ing parts, especially the steering wheel, shift
lever, parking brake, sliding seat tracks, doors,
or any of the vehicle's controls. 0

Precautions before
connecting the system
A CAUTION
- Do not route wires where they will be
exposed to high temperatures.
If the
insulation heats up, wires may become
damaged, resulting
in ashort circuit or
malfunction and permanent damage to
the product.
•When disconnecting aconnector, pull the
connector itself.
Do not pull the lead, as
you may pull it out of the connector. ~

• Do not install this product in places where
it may become subject to high tempera-
tures or humidity, such as:
-Places close to aheater, vent or air con-
ditioner.
-Places exposed to direct sunlight, such
as on top of the dashboard.
-Places
that may be splashed by rain, for
example close to the door.
•Make sure to connect this product to the
navigation system afterthe system
is
turned off. (ACC OFF)
•Thoroughly wipe off the surface before af-
fixing the adhesive tape.
•Use separately sold adhesive tapes to
se-
cure this product so that it does not move.
It
is extremely dangerous if cords are ex-
posed on the floor as they may become en-
tangled with the brake pedal etc. Hide
cords
so that they do not get in the way
when you are driving.
To guard against
electromagnetic interference
In order to prevent interference, set the follow-
ing items as far as possible from this naviga-
tion system, other cables or leads:
• FM, AM antenna and its lead
•
GPS antenna and its lead
In addition you should lay or route each anten-
na lead as far as possible from other antenna
leads.
Do not bind them together, lay or route
them together,
or cross them. Such electro-
magnetic noise will increase the potential for
errors in the location display.

Temporarily disconnecting the battery of your vehicle may
cause a previously "Active" subscription status of your
MSN® Direct tuner to become "Inactive".
If you have a valid subscription and experience this
condition, please reactivate your tuner by visiting
www.msndirect.com/support and selecting "Reactivate",
or by calling MSN® Direct at 1-866-658-7032.
Make sure to have your MSN,ij) Direct Product Key available
when reactivating.
Subscription Status and Product Key can be found in the
"Status" menu under MSN® on your navigation device.
