FCC Class A
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy
and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual,
may cause interference to radio communications. It has been tested and

Md5/PCI board and driver in a computer. You should be
familiar with installing and configuring boards and soft-
ware in computers.

Planning the Installation
Before you install the Md5/PCI board in your system,
review these installation requirements to make sure you
have all the necessary items.
Cross-platform requirements
You can install the Md5/PCI board in a PC, Sun PCI work-
station, or Digital UNIX workstation. All platforms require
these items:
• An Md5/PCI board
• A compatible monitor that can support your desired
display resolution
Multiple monitors for PCs must have the same resolution.

Installing the PCI Windows
95 Driver
This procedure assumes that the Windows 95 operating
system is already installed on your system. If it is not, refer
to the Microsoft Windows 95 documentation.
To install the driver
1. Insert the installation diskette in your computer’s A
drive.
2. Double-click
My Computer -> Drive A
icon
->
Setup.exe
.
The installation program prepares the installation files
and guides you through installation of the Md5/PCI
setup configuration files.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
4. When the automatic installation procedure is complete,
close the
Floppy Drive A
and
My Computer
folders.
5. Select
Start –> Shut Down
.
The Shut Down Windows dialog box appears.
6. Select
Shut Down the Computer?
and click
Yes
.
The Shut Down message appears.
7. Turn off the power to your computer.
8. Eject the diskette.
Install the PCI Windows 95 driver before installing the
DOME board; otherwise, driver installation problems
may occur.
