WARNINGS
Please read the following precautions to prevent re, personal injury or the radio destruction.
Do not attempt to adjust the radio while driving; is dangerous.
This radio is designed for power supply at 13.8V DC. Do not use a 24V battery to power the radio.
Do not place the station on an excessively dusty, damp or unstable surface.
Do not connect the antenna during transmission, risk of burning or electric shock.
Please keep distance from devices that cause interference (such as TV, generator, etc.)
People who use pacemakers are advised to keep distance from the antenna during transmission
and especially not to touch it.
Do not connect metal objects to the internal electrical side; danger of electric shock.
Avoid exposing the radio to temperatures below -30°C and above + 60°C, the temperature on a
vehicle may sometimes exceed 80°C, which can cause irreparable damage to electric devices. Do not
expose the radio to sunlight.
Do not place anything on the radio, it will prevent it from cooling down.
Check to see if you have enough charged battery to avoid rapid discharge.
It is important to stop the radio before starting the engine, to avoid damage caused by high starting
voltage.
You must use a 2A 250V fuse type F. Under no circumstances use a higher value.
If an abnormal odor or smoke is detected as coming from the radio, switch o󰀨 the appliance
immediately.
Do not transmit for a long time, the radio may warm up.
Keep the station away from children.
INTRODUCTION
The PNI HP-62 is a small portable transceiver which guarantees great performance for many years of
use. What is unique to this innovative transceiver is the capability to select any of European CB bands
with an easy and quick procedure. The PNI HP-62 has built-in Channel Phase Loop synthesizer (PLL)
circuit and an automatic battery economy circuit.
Nota: The unit is preset at the factory on the “CE” band
Important Note!
Some countries may require you to own or purchase a CB license – please check with the
relative authorities in your country.

FUNCTION AND LOCATION OF THE CONTROLS
1. Antenna connection: x a compatible antenna (not included in the package). To get better
performance, you can use an external antenna that plugs into the included adapter.
2. Squelch Control: This function allows to reduce background noise of the station. By rotating the
button to the right, the function becomes active. By rotating the button to the left, the function becomes
inactive. The button should be set precisely to the position where the background noise disappears.
3. ASQ key: briey press this key to turn on the backlight of the screen. When the screen light is on,
press again to turn o󰀨 the backlight. By long pressing this key, enter the ASQ mode. While you are in
ASQ mode, briey press this key to enter the ASQ level adjustment mode, the current level of Squelch
will blink. Use the Q.UP / Q DOWN keys to change the ASQ level (there are 5 levels available). Also in
ASQ mode, briey press the ASQ key twice to turn o󰀨 or turn on the backlight of the screen.
Note: For Squelch, we recommend level 02 (or 03 for louder areas).
4. ON/OFF and Volume Control key:
Rotate this knob to the right to turn on the radio. Turn slightly to the right to adjust the volume.

This liquid crystal display has been projected to show the operative modality:
a. The EMG function is active
b. Selected channel number (1 to 40)

g. DW: DUAL WATCH function
h. PS: The Power Save function is active. If no key is pressed for 5 seconds, the radio enters the power
saving mode.

9. EMG key: briey press this key to enter emergency mode 9/19; the EMG icon will blink
10. A / F-LCR key: to select AM or FM mode; the modulation you are setting will be displayed on the
screen. If you select a frequency that operates only in the FM band, the A/F-LCR key will activate the
Last Channel Recall (LCR)
11. Microphone: During the broadcast, hold the microphone at a distance of 4 cm from the mouth and
speak using a normal tone of voice.
12. RFG Key: briey press this key, on the screen “R 00” will show up; “00” will ash. Press the Q.UP /
Q DONW keys to select one of the 9 levels (00, 06, 12 ... 54); press this button again to conrm and exit.
Note: We recommend to disable RFG function (or level 06 for louder areas).
13. Lock key: It allows you to lock the keyboard, thus avoiding accidental use of the keys.
14. Q.UP-Q.DOWN keys: To skip 10 channels up (Q.UP) or 10 channels down (Q.DOWN)

16. Dual Watch: This function allows the synchronization on two di󰀨erent channels at the same
time.Thanks to this function, you can monitor a second channel. When a signal on the second channel
is received, the conversation on the rst channel is automatically interrupted and the receiver switches
on the second channel. The monitoring starts again 4 seconds after the signal end.
TO activate this function, operate as follows:
- Select the desired channel through the channel selector
- Press the DW button
- Select the second channel
- Press the button DW again
- To cancel the function press again the DW button or the PTT button
17. SCAN key: you can automatically search for a busy channel
• Turn the squelch clockwise until the background noise is no longer heard.
• Press the “SCAN” button: the transceiver will scan automatically all the channels until a carrier is
being received.
• When it nds the carrier, it stops and starts again some seconds after the end of the communication
on the channel.
• When the radio is transmitting, the scan function is deactivated.
18. Key : when in the SQ mode short press this button, turn on the background ligh, short press this
button again, to turn o󰀨 the ligh, long press this button will enter ASQ, in ASQ mode, short press the
button to turn on the background ligh and short press again will turn o󰀨 the light.
19. Push to talk button (PTT): Its pressure activates the transmission. When it is released, the receiver
is activated.

21. Channel UP: To skip to the next channel. Keeping this button pressed, the “auto-repeat” function is
obtained.
22. Channel DOWN: To skip to the previous channel. Keeping his button pressed, the “auto-repeat”
function is obtained.

HOW TO OPERATE
1. Attach the included car adapter. Connect the PL259 plug to an external antenna, and the cigarette
lighter socket on the vehicle
2. Turn the ON / OFF button clockwise. Adjust the volume to a level of comfort.
3. Adjust the SQUELCH level
4. Select the desired channel using the UP/DOWN keys or the QUICK UP QUICK/DOWN keys
Note: If you can not change the channel, check if the EMG or LOCK key has not been pressed.
To transmit: press and hold the PTT button, then talk into the microphone
To receive: simply release the PTT button
FREQUENCY BAND SELECTION
The frequency bands must be chosen according to the country you are in.
Procedure:
1. Switch o󰀨 the unit.
2. Turn it on while pushing the “Q.UP” and “SC” buttons.
3. By pushing the CH ▲CH ▼ buttons, select the desired frequency band (see the chart here
below)
4. To x your selection press the “Q.UP” button.
Notes:
In the UK frequency band, you can directly select the CE band by pressing the AM / FM key for 2
seconds.

PNI EXTRA 48 is a small CB radio antenna suitable for cars and trucks, compatible with all CB radio
transceivers on the market. It is very easy to install with the magnetic mount included in the package.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
Fix the antenna on the magnetic base and position it in the center of the car dome.
Connect the antenna to the CB transceiver.
Note:The antenna is tuned from the factory.

SICHERHEITSMASSNAHMEN
Lesen Sie aufmerksam die folgenden Anweisungen, um Brände, Verletzung oder Zerstörung des
Funkgerätes zu vermeiden.
Während der Fahrt das Funkgerät nicht einstellen, das ist zu gefährlich.
Das Funkgerät entspricht einer Versorgung von 13.8V DC. Benutzen Sie keine Batterie 24 V, um
das Funkgerät zu versorgen.
Legen Sie das Funkgerät nicht auf Staub, Feuchtigkeit oder auf einer nicht stabilen Platz.
Schließen Sie die Antenne während der Übertragung nicht an, Verbrennungsgefahr oder
Stromschlaggefahr. Fernhalten von Geräten die Interferenzen verursachen, so wie TV, Generator etc.
Für Leute die Herzschrittmacher tragen, bitte von der Antenne während der Übertragung fernhalten
und besonders nicht berühren.
Metallische Gegenständen an der inneren elektrischen Seite nicht annähern. Gefahr durch
Stromschlag.
Das Funkgerät nicht an Temperaturen unter – 30° C aufbewahren und besonders nicht über 60° C.
Die Temperatur am Bord kann 80° C überschreiten, das kann zu irreparablen Schäden führen, wenn
das Funkgerät für eine längere Zeit bei dieser Temperatur bleibt. Das Funkgerät nicht lange an der
Sonne halten.
Legen Sie nichts auf das Gerät, das hindert seine Kühlung.
Prüfen Sie, ob die Batterie voll geladen ist, um eine schnelle Entladung zu vermeiden.
Das Funkgerät ausschalten, bevor Sie den Motor starten, um Schäden durch zu hohem Startdruck
zu vermeiden.

EINFÜHRUNG
PNI HP 62 ist ein portables CB Funkgerät, kleine Dimensionen, aber mit optimalen Leistungen für eine
längere Zeit.
Das Funkgerät kann jeden CB europäischen Funk in einem schnellen und einfachen Verfahren,
auswählen.
PNI HP 62 hat einen integralen PLL Kreis und einen automatischen Kreis damit Sie die Batterie sparen.
Vermerk: Das Funkgerät wird aus der Fabrik auf CE Funk eingestellt.
WICHTIG!
In manchen Ländern müssen die Bescheinigung vorliegen, die Ihnen das Recht gibt, den CB-
Funk zu benutzen. Bitte prüfen Sie die lokale Gesetzgebung.

FUNKTIONEN UND TASTEN POSITION
1. BNC Konnektor für die Antenne: befestigen Sie eine kompatible Antenne (ist nicht inbegri󰀨en). Für
bessere Leistungen benutzen Sie eine externe Antenne, die Sie am Konnektor anschließen.
2. Kontrolle Squelch: Die Funktion reduziert das Hintergrundgeräusch. Durch Knopfdrehen nach
rechts, wird die Funktion aktiv. Durch Knopfdrehen nach links wird die Funktion inaktiv. Der Knopf muss
in der Position gedreht werden, so dass das Hintergrundgeräusch nicht mehr zu hören ist.
3. ASQ Taste: drücken Sie kurz die Taste, um das Hintergrundlicht auf dem Bildschirm einzuschalten.
Wenn der Schirm leuchtet, drücken Sie noch einmal, um das Licht auszuschalten. Wenn Sie für eine
längere Zeit die Taste drücken, kommen Sie im Modus ASQ. Hier die Taste kurz drücken um den
Einstellungsmodus ASQ zu aktivieren, auf dem Bildschirm erscheint das Squelch Niveau. Benutzen Sie
die Tasten Q.UP/Q DOWN um das Niveau ASQ zu wechseln (es gibt 5 verfügbaren Niveaus). Drücken
Sie im ASQ-Modus auch zweimal kurz die Taste, um die Hintergrundbeleuchtung des Bildschirms
auszuschalten oder einzuschalten.
Hinweis: Für Squelch empfehlen wir Stufe 02 (oder 03 für lautere Bereiche).
4. Taste ON/OFF und Lautstärke Kontrolle:
Drehen Sie diesen Knopf nach rechts um das Funkgerät einzuschalten. Drehen Sie den Knopf nach
links um die Lautstärke einzustellen.

9. Taste EMG: Drücken Sie kurz diese Taste um im Modus Notfall 9/19 zu kommen. Auf dem Bildschirm
leuchtet das Ikon EMG.
10. Taste A/F-LCR: um den Modus AM oder FM auszuwählen, Die Modulation wird auf dem Bildschirm
angezeigt, Wenn Sie nur FM auswählen, wird die Taste A/F-LCR die Funktion LCR aktivieren. (Last
Channel Recall)
11. Mikrophone: Während der Sendung, halten Sie die Mikrophone 4 cm weit von Ihrem Mund und
sprechen Sie normal
12. Taste RFG: Drücken Sie kurz diese Taste, auf dem Bildschirm erscheint “R 00“, „00“ leuchtet.
Drücken Sie die Tasten QUP/Q DOWN um eins der 9 Niveaus zu wählen. (00, 06,012…54). Drücken
Sie noch einmal diese Taste für Bestätigung und um das Menü zu verlassen.
Hinweis: Recomandam functia RFG dezactivata (06 pentru zone mai zgomotoase).
13. Taste Lock: Sie sperren die Tasten und vermeiden ein zufälliges Berühren.
14. Tasten Q.UP-Q.DOWN: drücken Sie um 10 Sender zu überspringen (nach vorne oder nach hinten)

16. Dual Watch: diese Funktion erlaubt Ihnen 2 Sender simultan zu synchronisieren. Mit dieser Funktion
können Sie den 2. Sender überwachen. Wenn das Funkgerät ein Signal auf dem 2. Sender empfängt,
wird das Gespräch im 1. Sender automatisch unterbrochen, das Funkgerät schaltet auf dem 2. Sender.
Die Überwachung beginnt neu in 4 Sekunden, nachdem kein Signal mehr empfangen wird.
Um diese Funktion zu aktivieren, gehen Sie Folgendes vor:
- Wählen Sie den gewünschten Sender aus mittels der Sender Wählheber.
- Drücken Sie die Taste DW
- Wählen Sie den 2. Sender aus
- Drücken Sie noch einmal die Taste DW
- Um diese Funktion zu annullieren, drücken Sie noch einmal die Taste DW oder den Knopf PTT.
17. Taste SCAN: Sie können automatisch einen besetzten Sender suchen:
• Drehen Sie den Squelch im Uhrzeigersinn bis Sie kein Hintergrundgeräusch mehr hören
• Drücken Sie die Taste SCAN; das Funkgerät scannt automatisch alle Sender bis es einen Signal
empfängt.
• Wenn das Funkgerät einen Signal empfängt, scannt es nicht mehr, das Funkgerät wird neu scannen
nach der Unterbrechung der Kommunikation auf dem entsprechendem Sender.
• Wenn das Funkgerät sendet, ist die Funktion Scannen inaktiv
18. Taste : Wenn Sie im Modus SQ sind, drücken Sie kurz, um das Hintergrundlicht einzuschalten.
Drücken Sie noch einmal kurz, um das Hintergrundlicht auszuschalten, drücken Sie diese Taste, um in
Modus ASQ zu kommen.
19. Push to talk button (PTT): wenn Sie diesen Knopf drücken, aktivieren Sie die Sendung, wenn Sie
diese Taste frei lassen, wird der Empfang aktiviert.

um den Adapter herauszunehmen.
24. Batteriefach (optionales Zubehör, nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten): Fügen Sie 6 Ni-Cadmium-
Alkalibatterien hinzu
GEBRAUCHSANWEISUNGEN
1. Befestigen Sie den Adapter. Schließen Sie die Mu󰀨e PL259 an der externen Antenne an, die
Feuerzeug Mu󰀨e an der Versorgung des Fahrzeuges.
2. Drehen Sie den Knopf ON/OFF im Uhrzeigersinn. Stellen Sie die Lautstärke ein.
3. Stellen Sie das Niveau SQUELCH ein.
4. Wählen Sie den gewünschten Sender mit den Tasten UP/DOWN oder mit den Tasten QUICK UP/
QUICK DOWN.
Vermerk: Wenn Sie den Sender nicht wechseln können, prüfen Sie ob Sie die Taste EMG oder LOCK
gedrückt haben.
Für Senden: drücken Sie die Taste PTT dann sprechen Sie in Mikrophone.
Für Senden: Lassen Sie die Taste PTT frei
AUSWAHL FREQUENZBEREICH
Der Frequenzbereich muss geändert werden, abhängig vom Land wo Sie sind.
Verfahren:
1. Funkgerät ausschalten
2. Funkgerät einschalten und gleichzeitig die Tasten “Q.UP” und “SC”, drücken.
3. Beim Drücken der Tasten CH ▲CH ▼, wählen Sie den Frequenzbereich aus. (siehe folgende
Tabelle)
4. Für Bestätigung drücken Sie die Taste “Q.UP”
Vermerk: Im UK Frequenzbereich, können Sie direkt den CE Funk wählen mit Drücken auf der Taste
AM/FM für 2 Sekunden.

CB ANTENNE PNI EXTRA 48
PNI EXTRA 48 ist eine kleine CB-Funkantenne für PKW und LKW, die mit allen auf dem Markt erhältlichen
CB-Funk-Transceivern kompatibel ist. Mit der im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Magnethalterung ist es sehr
einfach zu installieren.
MONTAGEANLEITUNG
Befestigen Sie die Antenne auf dem Magnetfuß und positionieren Sie sie in der Mitte der Fahrzeugkuppel.
Schließen Sie die Antenne an den CB-Transceiver an.
Hinweis: Die Antenne ist werkseitig abgestimmt.

INTRODUCCIÓN
PNI HP 62 es un CB portátil de pequeño tamaño, que garantiza un rendimiento óptimo durante mucho
tiempo.
Una característica única de esta estación es la posibilidad de seleccionar cualquier banda de CB
europea, de forma sencilla y rápida.
PNI HP 62 tiene un circuito integrado PLL (sintetizador de bucle de fase de canal) y un circuito

LAS FUNCIONES Y LA UBICACIÓN DE LAS TECLAS
1. Conector de antena BNC: instale una antena compatible (no incluida en el paquete). Para obtener
un mejor rendimiento, puede utilizar una antena externa que se conecta al adaptador incluido
2. Control Squelch (control del silenciamiento): Esta función permite reducir el ruido de fondo de la
estación. Al girar el botón a la derecha, la función se activa. Al girar el botón a la izquierda, la función se
desactiva. El botón debe ajustarse con precisión en la posición en la cual el ruido de fondo desaparece.
3. En el modo SQ, presione brevemente esta tecla para encender la luz de fondo de la pantalla. Cuando
la pantalla está encendida, presione nuevamente para apagar la luz de fondo. Manteniendo esta tecla
presionada, ingrese al modo ASQ. Mientras se encuentra en el modo ASQ, presione brevemente esta
tecla para ingresar al modo de conguración del nivel ASQ; en la pantalla se mostrará el nivel de
silenciamiento. Use las teclas Q.UP/Q.DOWN para cambiar el nivel del ASQ (hay 5 niveles disponibles).
También en el modo ASQ, presione brevemente estas teclas dos veces para encender o apagar la luz
de fondo de la pantalla.

4. Tecla ON/OFF (Encendido-Apagado) y control de volumen. Gire este botón a la derecha para
encender la estación. Gira este botón un poco más a la derecha para ajustar el volumen.

9. Tecla EMG: presione brevemente esta tecla para ingresar al modo de emergencia 9/19; el icono
EMG parpadeará en la pantalla
10. Tecla A/F-LCR: para seleccionar el modo AM o FM; la modulación seleccionada será mostrada en
la pantalla. Si selecciona una frecuencia que opera solo en la banda de FM, la tecla A/F-LCR activará
la función LCR (Recuperación del último canal)
11. Micrófono: Durante la transmisión, mantenga el micrófono a una distancia de 4 cm de la boca y
hable en un tono de voz normal.
12. RFG: presione esta tecla brevemente, hasta que “R 00” “00” parpadea en la pantalla. Presione las
teclas Q.UP/Q.DOWN para seleccionar uno de los 9 niveles (00, 06, 12 ... 54); presiona de nuevo este
botón para conrmar y salir.
Nota: Recomendamos la función RFG deshabilitada (o el nivel 06 para áreas más altas).
13. Tecla Lock (Bloqueo): le permite bloquear las teclas, evitando toques accidentales.
14. Teclas Q.UP-Q.DOWN: Presione estas teclas para saltar 10 canales hacia adelante o hacia atrás

16. Dual Watch (doble escucha): esta función permite la sincronización simultánea de dos canales
diferentes. Gracias a esta característica puede monitorear un segundo canal. Cuando la estación recibe
una señal en el segundo canal, la conversación del primer canal se interrumpe automáticamente y la
estación cambia al segundo canal. La monitorización comienza de nuevo 4 segundos después de que
no recibir ninguna señal.
Para activar esta característica, proceda de la siguiente manera:
- Seleccione el canal deseado con la ayuda del selector de canales.
- Presione la tecla DW
- Seleccione el segundo canal
- Presione DW otra vez
- Para cancelar esta función, presione de nuevo la tecla DW o el botón PTT
17. Tecla SCAN: puedes buscar automáticamente un canal ocupado
• Gire el botón Squelch a la derecha hasta que el ruido de fondo no se escucha más
• Presione la tecla SCAN; la estación escaneará automáticamente todos los canales hasta que reciba
una señal.
• Cuando la estación recibe una señal, la búsqueda se detendrá y se reiniciará unos segundos después
de interrumpir la comunicación utilizando ese canal
• Cuando la estación está emitiendo, la función SCAN está desactivada
18. Tecla : cuando esté en el modo SQ, presione brevemente esta tecla para encender la luz de
fondo de la pantalla; presione de nuevo brevemente para apagar la luz de fondo; mantenga presionada
esta tecla para ingresar al modo ASQ.
19. Botón Push-to-talk (PTT, pulsar para hablar): presione este botón para activar la transmisión; al
soltar esta tecla se activa la recepción.
20. Agujero para la correa de mano.
21. Canal ARRIBA (UP): Presione para pasar al canal siguiente. Si mantiene presionado este botón se

activa la función de auto-repeat (repetición automática).
22. Canal ABAJO (DOWN): Presione para pasar al canal anterior. Si mantiene presionado este botón
se activa la función de auto-repeat (repetición automática).
23. Contacto del adaptador de alimentación y antena externa. Tire del botón hacia arriba para quitar
el adaptador

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1. Conecte el adaptador de coche incluido. Conecte la toma PL259 a una antena externa y la toma
del encendedor de cigarrillos a la alimentación del vehículo
2. Gire el botón ON/OFF en el sentido de las agujas del reloj. Ajuste el volumen a un nivel
confortable.
3. Ajuste el nivel del SQUELCH (silenciamiento)
4. Seleccione el canal deseado usando las teclas UP/DOWN (ARRIBA/ABAJO) o las teclas QUICK
UP/QUICK DOWN (AVANCE RÁPIDO HACIA ARRIBA/AVANCE RÁPIDO HACIA ABAJO)
Nota: Si no puede cambiar el canal, asegúrese que no se haya presionado la tecla EMG o LOCK
(BLOQUEO).

SELECCIÓN DE BANDA DE FRECUENCIAS

En la banda de frecuencia del Reino Unido puede seleccionar directamente la banda CE presionando
la tecla AM/FM durante 2 segundos.

PNI EXTRA 48 es una pequeña antena de radio CB adecuada para automóviles y camiones, compatible
