• DO NOT immerse in water, or use steam/jet washers to clean
the unit.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

tested (at least annually) by a Competent Person. Testing
should include, but not be limited to: Visual Inspection,
Polarity Test, Earth Continuity, Insulation Continuity and

protected by an appropriate RCD (Residual Current Device).
• This appliance is intended to be used exclusively for the
storage of wine.

• The refrigerant gas contained in this appliance is
isobutene (R600a), which is low-polluting but flammable.
• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a
flammable propellant in this appliance.

to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those

Introduction
Please take a few moments to carefully read through this manual. Correct maintenance and operation of
this machine will provide the best possible performance from your POLAR product.
Pack Contents
The following is included:
• Wine fridge
• Door Handle assembly • Instruction manual
POLAR prides itself on quality and service, ensuring that at the time of packaging the contents are
supplied fully functional and free of damage.
Should you find any damage as a result of transit, please contact your POLAR dealer immediately.
Installation
Note: If the unit has not been stored or moved in an upright position, let it stand
upright for approximately 12 hours before operation. If in doubt allow to stand.
1. Place the fridge on a floor that is able to support it once fully loaded.
2. Remove the appliance from the packaging and the protective film from all surfaces.
3. Avoid positioning the fridge in direct sunlight or damp areas.
4. To optimize performance and longevity, ensure a minimum clearance of 2.5cm is maintained between
the unit and walls and other objects, with a minimum 5cm clearance on the top. NEVER LOCATE
NEXT TO A HEAT SOURCE.
5. If necessary, adjust the screw legs of the fridge to make it level.
WARNING: When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not
trapped or damaged.
WARNING: Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or portable power
supplies at the rear of the appliance.
6. Installing the Door handle: Remove the door gasket covering the handle location - there are
two designated holes for the handle installation. Attach the handle and fix with the screws provided.
Replace the door gasket into place.
Operation
Note: the fridge should be placed in an area where the ambient temperature is between
16-38°C.
• When using the fridge for the first time, or re-starting it after a long period of time, there may be a
few degrees variance between the selected temperature and what is shown on the LED display. Once
the fridge has been switched on for a few hours, this should rectify itself.
• If the unit is unplugged, has lost power or been turned off, wait 30 minutes to 2 hours before
restarting the appliance.

Down
• When storing mainly red wine, the recommended temperature is 14-18°C.
• When storing mainly white wine, the recommended temperature is 8-12°C.
• When storing mainly sparkling wine, the recommended temperature is 7-9°C.
Note for the dual-zone wine fridges (GG763 and GG764):
• The temperature for the lower zone must ALWAYS be the same or higher
than the upper zone.
• The lower zone is featured with heating function, which will turn
on automatically when the set temperature is higher than the room
temperature or the actual lower zone temperature.
Storage
GG762:
32 wine bottles can be placed in the upper shelves - 8 bottles on
each. A maximum of 19 bottles can be stored on the bottom when the
bottom shelf is removed.
GG763:
96 wine bottles can be placed in the upper and lower shelves -
8 bottles on each. A maximum of 30 bottles can be stored on the
bottom when the bottom shelf is removed.
GG764:
154 wine bottles can be placed in the upper and lower shelves -
11 bottles on each. A maximum of 26 bottles can be stored on the
bottom when the bottom shelf is removed.
Note: Bottle capacities are approximate maximums when storing traditional Bordeaux
750ml bottles and include bulk storage.
To prevent damage to the door gasket, ensure the door is fully open when pulling shelves
out of the rail compartment.

To avoid contamination of drink, please respect the following instructions:
• Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase of the temperature in the
compartments of the appliance.
• If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, switch it off. Then defrost and clean it
thoroughly. Let it dry well and leave the door open to prevent mould developing within the appliance.
• Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact with drink and accessible drainage systems.
• Only load the appliance when it has reached the correct operating temperature.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
• Always switch off and disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
• Remove all bottles from the appliance.
• Warm, soapy water is recommended for cleaning. Cleaning agents may leave harmful residues.
• A POLAR agent or qualified technician should carry out repairs if required.
• Periodically clean the bottom of the wine fridge compartment to remove any build-up of condensation.
Defrosting
The unit has an automatic defrost cycle to reduce the build-up of ice, but occasionally a manual defrost
may be necessary. To manually defrost the appliance remove contents and switch off unit. Allow ice to
melt and dry cabinet before switching back on.

Electrical Wiring
POLAR appliances are supplied with a 3 pin BS1363 plug and lead.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
POLAR appliances are wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency
disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.
Disposal
EU regulations require refrigeration product to be disposed of by specialist companies who remove or
recycle all gasses, metal and plastic components.
Consult your local waste collection authority regarding disposal of your appliance. Local authorities are
not obliged to dispose of commercial refrigeration equipment but may be able to offer advice on how to
dispose of the equipment locally.
Alternatively call the POLAR helpline for details of national disposal companies within the EU.

The WEEE logo on this product or its documentation indicates that the product must
not be disposed of as household waste. To help prevent possible harm to human

Voorzichtig brandgevaar / ontvlambare materialen
• Het koelgas in dit apparaat is isobuteen (R600a), dat weinig
vervuilend en brandbaar is.
• Heeft explosieve stoffen zoals spuitbussen niet slaan met een
brandbaar drijfgas in dit apparaat.
Waarschuwing: Hou alle ventilatieopeningen vrij
van obstakels. De eenheid mag niet ingesloten
worden zonder geschikte ventilatie.
• Waarschuwing: mechanische apparaten of andere
middelen niet gebruiken om het ontdooien te versnellen, met
uitzondering van de fabrikant aanbevolen die door.
• Waarschuwing: het koelcircuit niet beschadigen.

Inleiding
Neem de tijd en lees deze handleiding aandachtig door. Een correct gebruik en onderhoud van deze
machine waarborgt de beste prestatie van uw POLAR product.
Verpakkingsinhoud
De verpakking bevat het volgende:
• Wijnkoeler
• Montage van de deurgreep • Handleiding
POLAR is trots op de haar productkwaliteit en dienstverlening en controleer de inhoud van de
verpakkingen, tijdens de verpakkingsfase, op functionaliteit en schade.
Mocht u product door transport zijn beschadigd, neem dan onmiddellijk contact op met uw POLAR dealer.
Installatie
Opmerking: indien het apparaat niet in een rechtopstaande positie is opgeslagen
of vervoerd, dient men het product 12 uur vóór gebruik in de rechtopstaande
positie te plaatsen. Bij twijfel dient men het product in een rechtopstaande
positie te plaatsen.
1. Plaats de wijnklimaatkast op een ondergrond die het volledige gewicht van de kast kan dragen.
2. Neem het apparaat uit de verpakking en verwijder de beschermende folie van alle oppervlakken.
3. Zet de wijnkoeler niet op een plek met direct zonlicht of veel vocht.
4. Om de prestaties en levensduur te optimaliseren, dient u ervoor te zorgen dat er minimaal 2,5 cm
afstand wordt gehouden tussen de unit en muren en andere objecten, met een minimale vrije ruimte
van 5 cm aan de bovenkant. PLAATS NOOIT NAAST EEN WARMTEBRON.
5. Verstel zonodig de schroefpoten van de wijnkoeler tot hij waterpas staat.
Waarschuwing: Let er bij het plaatsen van het apparaat op dat het netsnoer niet
bekneld of beschadigd is.
Waarschuwing: Plaats niet meerdere draagbare stopcontacten of bruikbare
benodigdheden.
6. De deurgreep monteren: Verwijder de deurpakking, die de locatie van de handgreep bedekt - er
zijn twee speciale gaten voor de montage van de handgreep. Bevestig de handgreep en zet het met
de meegeleverde schroeven vast. Plaats de deurpakking terug op zijn plaats.
Bediening
NB: men dient de wijnklimaatkast te plaatsen op een plek waar de omgevingstemperatuur
tussen de 16°C-38°C ligt.
• Wanneer u de wijnklimaatkast voor de eerste keer gebruikt of deze na een lange periode van stilstaan
weer inschakelt, kan er een afwijking van enkele graden zijn tussen de geselecteerde temperatuur
en de weergegeven temperatuur. Nadat de kast gedurende enkele uren is ingeschakeld, wordt deze
afwijking automatisch gecorrigeerd.
• Als de stekker uit het stopcontact is, de stroom is uitgevallen of het apparaat is uitgeschakeld, wacht
dan 30 minuten tot 2 uur, voordat u het apparaat weer opnieuw opstart.

Bedieningspaneel
Als het lampje brandt, is het apparaat aan het afkoelen

(temperatuurbereik: 5-20°C / 41-68°F)
• Houd beide toetsen gedurende 5 seconden ingedrukt om te schakelen tussen
Fahrenheit (°F) en Celsius (°C)
Omhoog
• Bij het bewaren van hoofdzakelijk rode wijn is de aanbevolen temperatuur 14-18°C.
• Bij het bewaren van hoofdzakelijk witte wijn is de aanbevolen temperatuur 8-12°C.
• Bij het bewaren van hoofdzakelijk mousserende wijn is de aanbevolen temperatuur 7-9°C.
Toelichting voor de wijnkoelkasten met twee zones (GG763 en GG764):
• De temperatuur voor de onderste zone moet ALTIJD gelijk of hoger zijn dan
de bovenste zone.
• De onderste zone is voorzien van een verwarmingsfunctie, die automatisch
wordt ingeschakeld wanneer de ingestelde temperatuur hoger is dan de
kamertemperatuur of de werkelijke temperatuur van de onderste zone.
Opslag
GG762:
32 wijnflessen kunnen in de bovenste rekken worden geplaatst - 8
flessen per rek. Op de bodem kunnen maximaal 19 flessen worden
opgeborgen als het onderste rek wordt verwijderd.
GG763:
96 wijnflessen kunnen in de bovenste en onderste rekken worden
geplaatst - 8 flessen per rek. Op de bodem kunnen maximaal 30
flessen worden opgeborgen als het onderste rek wordt verwijderd.
GG764:
154 wijnflessen kunnen in de bovenste en onderste rekken worden
geplaatst - 11 flessen per rek. Op de bodem kunnen maximaal 26
flessen worden opgeborgen als het onderste rek wordt verwijderd.
NB: de maximale capaciteit is gebaseerd op flessen Bordeaux van 750ml.
Om beschadiging aan de deurpakking te voorkomen, dient men de deur volledig te openen
wanneer rekken uit het railcompartiment getrokken worden.

Volg de instructies om besmetting van voedsel te voorkomen:
• Het langdurig openen van de deur kan de temperatuur in de compartimenten van het apparaat
aanzienlijk verhogen.
• Als het koelapparaat lange tijd leeg blijft, schakel het dan uit. Ontdooi het en maak het grondig schoon.
Laat het goed drogen en laat de deur open om schimmelvorming in het apparaat te voorkomen.
• Reinig regelmatig oppervlakken die in contact komen met voedsel en toegankelijke afvoersystemen.
• Laad het apparaat pas als het de juiste bedrijfstemperatuur heeft bereikt.
Reiniging, verzorging en onderhoud
• Altijd het apparaat uitzetten en de stekker uit het stopcontact verwijderen alvorens het te reinigen.
• Alle flessen uit het apparaat verwijderen.
• Het wordt aanbevolen het apparaat met warm zeepwater te reinigen. Reinigingsmiddelen kunnen
schadelijke resten achterlaten.
• Eventuele nodige reparaties dienen door een vertegenwoordiger van POLAR of een bevoegde
monteur uitgevoerd te worden.
• De onderzijde van het koelvak dient periodiek gereinigd te worden om condensatiewater te verwijderen.
Ontdooien
Het apparaat heeft een automatische ontdooicyclus om de vorming van ijs tegen te gaan, maar soms kan een
handmatige ontdooiing nodig zijn. Om het apparaat handmatig te ontdooien, verwijdert u eerst de inhoud en
schakelt u het apparaat uit. Laat het ijs smelten en de wijnkoelkast opdrogen voordat u het weer inschakelt.

Elektrische bedrading
Men dient de steker op een geschikt stopcontact aan te sluiten.
De bedrading van dit apparaat is als volgt:
• Stroomkabel (bruin) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met L
• Neutraalkabel (blauw) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met N
• Aardekabel (groen/geel) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met E
Dit apparaat moet worden geaard.

Conseils de sécurité
• Placez l’appareil sur une surface plane, stable.
• L’installation et les éventuelles réparations doivent être
confiées à un dépanneur / technicien qualifié. Ne retirez aucun
composant ou cache de ce produit.
• Consultez les normes locales et nationales pour vous
conformer aux :
- lois sur l’hygiène et la sécurité au travail ;
- codes de bonnes pratiques BS EN ;

Introduction
Nous vous invitons à consacrer quelques instants à la lecture attentive de ce mode d’emploi. L’entretien
et l’utilisation appropriés de cette machine vous permettront de tirer le meilleur de votre produit POLAR.
Contenu de l’emballage
Les éléments suivants vous sont fournis de série :
• Armoire à vin
• Montage de la poignée de porte • Mode d’emploi
POLAR attache une grande importance à la qualité et au service et veille à fournir des produits en parfait
état opérationnel, parfaitement intacts au moment de l’emballage.
Nous vous prions de contacter votre revendeur POLAR immédiatement si vous constatez un dommage
quelconque survenu pendant le transport du produit.
Installation
Remarque : dans les cas où l'appareil a été stocké ou déplacé autrement qu'à la
verticale, placez-le en position debout pendant environ 12 heures avant de vous
en servir. En cas de doute, laissez l'appareil se reposer.
1. Placez l’armoire sur un sol capable de supporter son poids en pleine charge.
2. Retirer l’emballage et le film de protection de toutes les surfaces de l’appareil.
3. Eviter de placer l’armoire à vin à la lumière directe du soleil ou dans des zones humides.
4. Pour optimiser les performances et la longévité, assurez-vous qu’un dégagement minimum de 2,5 cm
est maintenu entre l’unité et les murs et autres objets, avec un dégagement minimum de 5 cm sur le
dessus. NE JAMAIS PLACER À PROXIMITÉ D’UNE SOURCE DE CHALEUR.
5. Le cas échéant, régler les pieds à vis de l’armoire à vin pour la mettre de niveau.
ATTENTION : Quand vous installez l’appareil, assurez-vous que le cordon
d’alimentation n’est pas coincé ou endommagé.
ATTENTION : Ne placez pas de multiprises ou de blocs d’alimentation portatifs à
l’arrière de l’appareil.
6. Installation de la poignée de porte : Retirez le joint de porte couvrant l’emplacement de la
poignée - il y a deux trous désignés pour l’installation de la poignée. Montez la poignée et fixez-la
avec les vis fournies. Remettez le joint de porte en place.
Fonctionnement
Remarque : l’armoire doit être positionnée dans un endroit où la température ambiante est
comprise entre 16°C et 38°C.
• Lors de la première utilisation de l’armoire, ou d’un redémarrage après une longue période d’inactivité,
il pourra y avoir une légère différence entre la température sélectionnée et la température affichée à
l’écran. Le problème devrait se résoudre après quelques heures.
• Si l’appareil est débranché, a subi une coupure de courant ou est éteint, attendez 30 minutes à 2
heures avant de le remettre en marche.

Remarque pour les réfrigérateurs à vin à deux zones (GG763 et GG764) :
• La température de la zone inférieure doit TOUJOURS être égale ou
supérieure à celle de la zone supérieure.
• La zone inférieure est dotée d’une fonction de chauffage, qui se met
automatiquement en marche lorsque la température réglée est supérieure à
la température ambiante ou à la température réelle de la zone inférieure.
Stockage
GG762:
32 bouteilles de vin peuvent être placées sur les étagères supérieures
- 8 bouteilles sur chacune. Un maximum de 19 bouteilles peut être
stocké sur le fond lorsque l’étagère inférieure est retirée.
GG763:
96 bouteilles de vin peuvent être placées sur les étagères supérieure
et inférieure - 8 bouteilles sur chacune. Un maximum de 30 bouteilles
peut être stocké sur le fond lorsque l’étagère inférieure est retirée.
GG764:
154 bouteilles de vin peuvent être placées sur les étagères supérieure
et inférieure - 11 bouteilles sur chaque étagère. Un maximum de 26
bouteilles peut être stocké sur le fond lorsque l’étagère inférieure est
retirée.
NB : Le nombre de bouteilles indiqué correspond à une estimation de la capacité
d’entreposage maximum de bouteilles de Bordeaux traditionnelles de 750 ml, y compris la
conservation en vrac.
Afin d’éviter tout endommagement du joint de la porte, veillez à ce que la porte soit bien
ouverte lorsque les étagères sont retirées de leur compartiment.

Pour éviter la contamination des aliments, veuillez respecter les
instructions suivantes :
• Laisser la porte ouverte trop longtemps peut causer une hausse significative de la température dans
les compartiments de l’appareil.
• Si l’appareil de réfrigération reste vide sur de longues périodes, éteignez-le, puis dégivrezle et
nettoyez-le soigneusement. Laissez-le sécher totalement puis laissez la porte ouverte pour éviter la
formation de moisissures dans l’appareil.
• Nettoyez régulièrement les surfaces qui sont en contact avec les aliments et les systèmes d’évacuation
d’eau accessibles.
• Ne chargez l’appareil que lorsqu’il a atteint la température de fonctionnement correcte.
Nettoyage, entretien et maintenance
• Toujours mettre hors tension et débrancher la source d’alimentation avant tout nettoyage.
• Retirer toutes les bouteilles de l’appareil.
• Il est recommandé de le nettoyer avec de l’eau savonneuse chaude. Les autres produits nettoyants
peuvent laisser des résidus dangereux.
• Toute réparation nécessaire doit être effectuée par un agent POLAR ou un technicien agréé.
• Nettoyer régulièrement le fond du compartiment de l’armoire à vin afin d’éliminer toute accumulation
de condensation.
Dégivrage
L’appareil dispose d’un cycle de dégivrage automatique pour réduire l’accumulation de glace, mais un
dégivrage manuel peut parfois être nécessaire. Pour dégivrer manuellement l’appareil, retirez son contenu
et éteignez-le. Laissez fondre la glace et sécher l’armoire avant de remettre l’appareil en marche.

Raccordement électrique
