A polarized plug h as two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding
typ e plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. T he wide
blade or the
third prong a re provided for your safe t y. If the provided plug does
not fit into
your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete
outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or p inched particularly at pl ugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatu s.
11. Only use attachments / accessories specified by t he manufactur er .
12 . Use only with the ca rt , s tand, tripod, bracke t, or table specified by the ma nu fac-
turer, or so ld with th e app arat u s. When a ca rt is used , us e caution when mo v ing
the cart/appara tu s combination to avo id injury f ro m tip-over.

Placing Your Subwoof er in a R oo m
Your subwoofer offers many placement options: in an
entertainment center. behind furniture . or next to a sofa or
chair. You may place your subwoofer anywhere in the ro o m.
but you'll enjoy the best performance when it's on the same
si de of the room as y ou r system's f ro nt spe a ker s (Figu re 1).
Pl ac i ng yo ur s ubwoo fe r near a wall or in a corn er will incr ease
it s l oud ness. Wh en pl acin g yo ur s ubw oo fer in the r oo m, a lw ays
place your subwoofer on its base feet side down (Figure 2).
If you can at all avoid it. do not place y our subwoofer ne xt
to an open door .
