Ⅰ.Product Introduction and classification
This infrared forehead temperature sensor is a kind of body temperature sensor based on infrared ray transmission
and reception principle. It is convenient to aim the detection window at one’s forehead when using it, which will
get the body temperature in a quick and exact way. Product Classification:

Ⅱ.Basic Working Principle
Any object in which temperature is higher than absolute zero degree will transmit some infrared radiation energy
according to its own temperature. The radiation energy and its distribution per wavelength are closely associated
with its surface temperature. The wavelength transmitted by human body(temperature 36~37℃)is 9~13 ūm. Based
on the principle, it is possible to measure the forehead surface temperature and then adjust the offset between
forehead temperature and actual body temperature, which will result in the correct display of body temperature.
Ⅲ.Product Features
Special design for body & forehead temperature with working temperature and forehead temperature dynamic
compensation.
HEIMANN infrared detection probe is exclusively applied to improve measurement
precision and performance stability.
Optional model provides reminder functionality when body temperature is higher than limit value.

Ⅵ.Instruction
Aim the detecting probe at forehead and press the measurement button in the handle, which will start on the
power automatically and then the result will be displayed.

Ⅶ.Configuration
(1) Temperature System Selection
1.Keep pressing configuration button for more than 3 seconds and then F1 is displayed on LED.
2.Press“+” button once to select Celsius(℃)
3.Press“-”button to select Fahrenheit(℉)
(2)Warning Threshold Value Setup
1.Keep pressing configuration button for more than 3 seconds and then F1 is displayed on LED.
2.Press configuration button once again to display F2
3.Press “+” button once to increase warning threshold value by 0.1℃ each time.
4.Press “-” button to decrease warning threshold value by 0.1℃ each time.
Note: Warning threshold value is between 33.0℃ and 40.0℃,the default value is 37.5 ℃.
(3)Display Mode Switch between Forehead Temperature & Body Temperature.
1.Keep pressing configuration button for more than 3 seconds and then F1 is display on LED.
2.Press configuration button twice to display F3.
3.Press “+” button to display “1”, which means that it will display forehead temperature.
4. Press “-” button to display “0”, which means that it will display body temperature. Note: The display
result of body temperature is based on dynamic compensation working temperature and forehead
temperature.
(4)Integer Offset Value Setup
1.Keep pressing configuration button for more than 3 seconds to display F1 ON LED.
2.Press configuration button three times to display F4.
3.Press “+” to increase warning threshold value by 0.1℃ 4.Press “--” button to
decrease warning threshold value by 0.1℃.
Note: The actual temperature may be adjusted according to the actual measurement distance and measurement
environment, which adjustment range varies between -0.3 ℃ and +0.3℃. For example, the body temperature
result is 35.9℃ in same special environment, while the actual body temperature is 36.6℃.In this case, you may
get the correct result 36.6℃ using the F4 setup value.
(5)Voice identification Setup
1. Keep pressing configuration button for more than 4 seconds and then F5 is display on LED.
2. The “1” symbol showing, press the “—“ button then it transfer to “0” , closing the voice identification.
3. Press “+ “ back to “1 “ symbol and keep the voice identification setting.
(6)Quit Configuration Mode
1.Keep pressing configuration button for more than 3 seconds to display F1 on 4 LED.
2.Press configuration button four times to quit configuration mode.
(7)Battery Replacement
Display: When the signal “Battery” is displayed on LED, it means that the batteries are almost running out power.
Operation: Open battery cover and replace the old batteries with two pieces of new AA-5 alkaline
batteries.

Ⅷ.Precautions
(1) Fence glass for detection probe is most possible to be destroyed, which shall Be destroyed, which shall be
protected carefully.
(2) Cleaning method for detection probe: wipe it gently with cotton swab or soft cloth with water or alcohol.
(3) The battery must not be recharged or disposes of in fire. Please dispose of it in appointed reclaimed place, Using
disqualified battery may cause fire or explosion.
(4) Special Notice: The batteries shall be taken out if this product will be not used for a long period of time.
(5) This product must be protected against water or direct sun light.
(6) Avoid dropping or impacting the product, otherwise it may be damaged.
(7) The battery should be taken out when the product is invalidated. (No special circumstances required)
Ⅸ.Storage & Transportation
The forehead temperature sensor with packaging shall be stored in a well-ventilated room free of corrosive gases,
with a temperature of -25~55℃ and a relative humidity of not higher than 90%.Sling,stress,drench or trample on the
package shall be avoided during transportation and loading/unloading. Besides, it shall be placed according to the

Ⅺ:Calibration Method
Frequency: Calibrated one time in one month.
Calibration methods: via Clinical thermometers (such as the axillary mercury thermometer) measurement the
temperature, to compare the result testing by this machine. If the deviation is too large, it can be offset
compensation key “F4” to fix the correct value.
Note:
If the measurement results is large different from the temperature tested by the Clinical thermometers, the machine
should immediately be calibrated.
