ready for use by competent qualified
persons.
To fold the kneepad down after use, place
one foot on the front of the footplate, grip
the handle and lift the kneepad slightly
vertically to disengage it, lower the kneepad
down to a horizontal position.
The footplate can now be lifted off the hoist
for storage or to use the Combo as a hoist.
How to use the Stand Aid:
A suitable Stand Aid sling should now be
fitted onto the user following manufacturer’s
instructions.
The hoist should be maneuvered as close as
possible to the chair/wheelchair and back
brakes applied.
Feet should be in tight fitting slippers or shoes,
positioned flat on the foot plate, The lower legs
should rest against the cushion. At this point the
cushion can be adjusted for comfort.
The boom of the hoist should be lowered to
facilitate the attachment of the stand aid slings
to the hooks on the boom of the hoist.
The carer should now proceed with the lift by
pressing the up button on the hand set. The carer
can stand neKt to the person being aided and
should check the knee pad for comfort and safety
and the stand aid sling is securely fixed.
