PondMAX® Pond De-Icer is an "Anti-ice" pond heater
ideal for maintaining an unfrozen area around the unit
(Fig. 4, Page 3). It is for outdoor use only, and the
manufacturer declines any responsibility for all other
uses. If it used for any other purpose, it is not covered
by the manufacturer's liability.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read the operating instructions and familiarize yourself with the equipment before use. Correct and safe
use of the equipment requires strict compliance with the safety instructions. Persons less than 16 years of age or
people that are not familiar with these instructions should not use this equipment.
CAUTION: Persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge
can use the appliance if they have been given proper
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way to understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance because this is not
a toy. Children shall not play with the appliance because

be done by children without supervision.
WARNING: Turn off and disconnect all the electrical
equipment in the pond before conducting any
maintenance tasks.
WARNING: This de-icer is provided with a thermal protector
that switches off in case of overheating or malfunctioning
(out of water) to protect the appliance. To restart the de-icer,
disconnect the plug from the power supply and wait for at
least 30 minutes, then reconnect the plug to the socket,
making sure the de-icer is placed correctly.
The power cord must not be repaired or replaced. If it is
damaged, replace the entire product.
THE DE-ICER MUST ALWAYS BE USED WITH THE FLOAT
PROVIDED, IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT THE DE-ICER IS
IMMERSED TO THE CORRECT LEVEL.

at least 30 minutes before any maintenance or control and
before pulling it out of the water.

WARNING: The de-icer must be connected through a GFCI
(ground fault circuit interrupter), with a rated residual
operating under 30mA.
Check the voltage of the appliance and ensure it corresponds
to the electrical outlet.
When the de-icer is plugged into the electrical outlet,
ensure that the lowest part of the cable is lower than the
socket, to prevent any drops of water that are on the
cable from flowing into the socket (Fig. 2, Page 3).
Do not place the power supply cable underground, and follow
local electrical regulations, and consult a qualified installer
and electrician if necessary.
When installing the appliance, do not use the power supply
cable to lift it.
Do not use corrosive or abrasive liquids when operating this
appliance.
