OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Power on/off
Press to turnon and turnoff the
meter. Whenmeter is poweron, the
preset alarm valueand current air
temperature will beblinking on the
LCD. Meter isnow running Self-Test
and will finishin about 15seconds
with a shortbeep, then enterthe
measuring mode.
IMPORTANT:
It is recommendedto turn onthe
meter in anarea free ofCO since
high CO levelmay cause failure
in passing Self-Test.

2. Switch temperatureunits
Users can select the
temperature unit bypressing for
more than 1sec. during Self-Test.

The meter ispreset the alarmvalue
at 25ppm togive warnings of possible
danger. Userscan adjust the value
for different needs or standardby
turning off the meter,then press and
hold until thevalue options show.
There are 25, 30,35, 45,50,70,100
and 200ppm displayingin cycles.
Release the buttonto select the
preferred value. Then the meterwill
return to Self-Test mode insome
seconds.
4. Measurement
The meter detects the existenceof
CO in theenvironment and displays
the reading inppm. It alsoindicates
the maximum value(at lower side
of the LCD)of all readings since it is
power on. Userscan reset themaxi-
mum value bypressing for two
seconds in measuringmode.
5.Backlight
The meter featuresbacklight function
for using indark areas. Press to
activate and switchoff the backlight.
6.Low batteryindicator
shows on theLCD when battery
voltage gets low.
7. Auto power off
The meter turnsitself off automatically
after 15 minutesnon-operation. (It
won't auto poweroff during calibrating)

CALIBRATION
To enter thecalibration mode, turnoff
meter and press + simultaneously
for 2 seconds.It will showblinking ppm
on the upperdisplay and calibration
value "0" atlower side. Nowthe meter
is running 0ppmcalibration as default.
0ppm calibration
The meter is preset calibrationvalue
at 0ppm. Justput the meterin the area
free of COand enter calibrationmode,
it calibrates automatically. The LCD is
now displaying ablinking ppm value
at upper sidewhich slowly runsdown
to 0 orminus value, thenstops blinking
when the calibrationis completed. This
takes about 10minutes.
Note:
Don't be alarmedif high ppmor minus
value shows upwhen entering calibra-
tion mode. Itwill go downand approach
to 0 inseconds. The erratic readings are
caused by
100ppm/500ppmcalibration
1. For otherstandard calibration, press
and hold toselect the calibration
value. (0, 100,500ppm).
2. Place themeter into thesealed box
filled with standardgas (e.g. 100ppm/
500ppm) for 15minutes. Then the
calibration will bedone automatically.
3. Check ifthe reading meetscalibration
value. If itdoes, the calibrationis well
completed. If no,repeat the procedure.
electromagnetic interference
(EMI) in theenvironment, such ascom-
puters or cellphone. It issuggested to
get the meteraway from theinterference,
otherwise the calibrationmay take much
longer time ornever complete.

E 2.: The value is underflow.

E 31.: A/D failure, return the meter
to the dealerfor repairing.
E 33.: Some measurement circuits
failure, return themeter to thedealer
for repairing.
E 35.: Self-Test failure. Turn on the
meter again inother area freeof CO.
Sensor failure. Returnthe meter
to the dealerfor repairing.
Display disappears
Check whether thelow battery
indicator shows beforedisplay
disappears. If so,replace a new
battery
Calibration failure
a) Check ifthe low batteryindicator
shows before calibration.If so,
replace a newbattery and tryagain.
b) Make surethe standard gasis
correct.
Power on but no display
a) Check if the time since power on is
over 300 mS.
b) Make sure the batteries are in good
contact and correct polarity.
c) Replace a new battery and try again.
TROUBLESHOOTING
OPERATING NOTICE
1.Keep themeter from electromag-
netic interference(EMI) which may
cause erratic readings.
2.Recovering timeis required when
meter exposed tohigh level CO.
The longer the exposure, thelonger
recovering time isneeded.
3.Self-Test after power on is to test the
sensor and circuitcondition.

RETURN AUTHORIZATION
Authorization must be obtained from the
supplier before returning items for any
reason. When requiring a RA (Return
Authorization), please include data
regarding the defective reason, the
meters are to be returned along with
good packing to prevent any damage in
shipment and insured against possible
damage or loss.
WARRANTY
The meter is warranted to be free from
defects in material and workmanship for
a period of one year from the date of
purchase. This warranty covers normal
operation and does not cover battery,
misuse, abuse, alteration, neglect, im-
proper maintenance, or damage resulting
from leaking batteries. Proof of purchase
is required for warranty repairs. Warranty
is void if the meter has been opened .
