Introduction
General Style Principles
The following general principles have been applied to the style of the Administration
screens.
No topic screen should be any more than 3 navigation selections from any other
topic screen.
The icon used on the main sub menus is used consistently throughout to represent
that topic, additionally modifiers are appended to the icon to reinforce the action
within the topic. An example is:
Modifiers:

Where:

= delete

Fonts:
Screen Titles: Verdana, 14 point, navy, regular
Labels: Verdana, 10 point, navy, regular
Contents (data): Verdana, 10 point, black, regular
Top of all screens:
Top left: Possum butterfly (Navigates straight to Top Level Administration Menu)
Screen Title
Top right: Battery and Power indicator

Universal Tool Bar: Each main topic screen will have a universal tool bar directly
underneath the Screen Title. The items in the tool bar will be enabled as appropriate
and will comprise:
Tool bar Item Item Description
Restore default settings
Back to previous screen
Save
Undo
Redo
Copy
Paste
User Mode (exits the Admin screens and navigates to the user mode)
Secondary Tool Bar: Space will be provided on each non-menu screen for a
secondary tool bar comprising up to 8 icons. The actual content of the secondary
tool bar, if used at all, will vary from screen to screen.
Example shown from ‘Page Central’
Non-icon buttons will be navy blue with white text.
Green tick confirms and is the same as an OK button and the red cross cancels.

The title of the group box within a screen will help you to understand how items are
grouped. An example of this is the Prediction topic screen which has 3 group boxes
which group together related settings into ‘keys’ ‘words’ and ‘sentences’.

Main Menu
Use the speakers to adjust the volume not the slide bar.
In Private mode when this item is selected all conversations are private – so that you
can say what you want without fear of it being seen at a later date! – this has the
effect of turning off learning of new words, word patterns and new sentences.
