INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Caution!
Whenever using electrical appliances, always ob-
serve basic rules for safety, including the precau-
tions described below, in order to prevent the dan-
ger of electrical shock, fire and bodily injury.Before
using this product, read these instructions tho-
roughly, and keep them in a safe place for later re-
ference.
Tips for safe use:
1 Keep the working environment tidy
• Untidy work areas and benches are most likely to
cause accidents.
2 Take account of environmental conditions
• Do not expose electric tools to rainwater.
• Never use electric tools in damp or wet conditions.
• Ensure that your work area is well lit.
• Never use electric tools where there is a hazard of
combustion or explosion.
3 Protect yourself from electric shock
• Avoid bodily contact with earthed objects such as
pipes, radiators, heaters and/or refrigerators.
4 Keep children at a distance.
• Allow no other persons to interfere with the electri-
cal appliance or power cord.
• Keep all other persons at a distance from the work
area.
5 Store electric tools in a safe place
• When not in use, electric tools should be stored in a
locked, dry and unexposed place, out of reach of
children.
6 Avoid overloading your electric tool
• You will work safer and more effectively within the
specifications of the tool.
7 Use the right tool for the job
• Do not use underpowered electric tools or accesso-
ries for heavy work.
• Do not use electric tools for jobs they were not des-
igned to do.
8 Wear suitable work clothing
• Wear no loose clothing, ties or jewellery that could
become entangled in moving parts of the machine.
• When working outdoors, rubber gloves and non-
slip footwear is highly recommended.
• If you have long hair, wear a hairnet.
9 Use safety glasses
• When your work generates dust, wear a dust mask.
10 Connect a dust extraction system
• Iftheapplianceisfittedwithanadapterforconnecti-
on to a dust extraction system, ensure that this is
connected and working correctly.
11 Take care of the power cord and avoid misuse of it
• Do not carry the electrical appliance by its power
cord, and never pull on the power cord to remove
the plug from the wall socket.
• Protect the power cord from heat, oil and sharp ob-
jects.
12 Hold the workpiece firmly
• Use clamps or a vice to hold the workpiece firmly
when working. This is a safer way to hold it than
using your hands, and leaves both hands free to
operate the machine.
13 Avoid abnormal working positions
• Ensure that you have a solid footing, and cannot lo-
se your balance.
14 Ensure that your electric tool is carefully maintai-
ned
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean, so you can work
safely and cleanly.
• Observe the instructions for lubrication and repla-
cement of your tools.
• Regularly check the power cord and plug, and have
any necessary replacement performed by an official
service agent.
• Inspect extension cords regularly, and replace them
if damaged.
• Keep handgrips dry and free of oil and grease.
15 Remove the plug from the wall socket
• Whenever the tool is not in use, before doing any
maintenance, and whenever replacing cutting ac-
cessories such as saw blades.
16 Never leave screwdrivers or adjusting tools in the
machine
• Make it a habit before switching on the machine, to
check that any screwdrivers or adjusting tools have
been removed.
17 Prevent unintentional starting
• Never carry a connected electric tool with your fin-
ger on the trigger or switch. Ensure that the power
switch is OFF before you connect the machine.
18 Use of extension cords outdoors
• When working outdoors, only use approved out-
door extension cords.
