Simple, delicious, green - the maker Vegimat Easy
With your Vegimat Easy you have a particularly simple kitchen appliance
used to make soy milk for drinking and for further processing to tofu*.
You only need soybeans and water to create delicious, homemade soy-
milk at your ngertips.
A special program for tofu processes your soybeans in an optimal way
for the subsequent production of tofu.
And you can blend your soy drink with other ingredients via a automa-
tic mix program.
The device features a patented lterless system. Thus, the operation and
cleaning is much easier. In addition, this way the produced drinks are much
richer in proteins, vitamins and trace elements as well as in taste.
Various security systems such as the dry-, overow- and overheating-
protection as well as the closed system ensure that this equipment is safe
to use for you.
Your Vegimat Easy is made of high quality, food-grade plastic. The transpa-
rent jug makes it possible that you can always see exactly what's happening
inside. You can also just put the pot into dishwasher for convenient cleaning.
We wish you much joy with your new maker Vegimat Easy for homemade soy
milk and tofu*.
Your POWER-SOJA Team
*) For the preparation of tofu you further need the coagulant Nigari and a

9
Safety measurements
The unit is equipped with safety mea-
surements that prevent basic operating
errors.
Dry-run protection
The dry-run triggers when there is no
or too little water in the pot.
All lamps light up red and you will
hear a beeping warning tone.
If the dry-run protection is active:
1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Fill in the soybeans rst and
then cold water up between
the two marks
(about 0.5 liters).
Overow protection
When properly lled with the correct
amount of water and ingredients an
overow during cooking cycles is very
unlikely.
However, should it happen an impen-
ding overow is detected via a sensor
and the heating is stopped immedia-
tely.
Closed system
The unit does only turn on when the
device (upper part) rests on the origi-
nal Vegimat Easy pot.
The small pin above the handle on
the pot leads exactly into a hole in
the device, in which a small button is
located. Only when the button is
pressed, the Vegimat is fed with
electricity.
In this way, operation outside of the
protective beverage container is pre-
vented effectively.
Thermal protection and internal
device fuse
During normal operation (not repea-
tedly) and standard power connec-
tors, a specic maximum temperature
is not exceeded inside the unit.
If the current exceeds the allowable
value, the internal device fuse turns
off the power permanently. In this
case, please contact the service cen-
ter.

Operation
The Vegimat Easy features the follo-
wing basic functions:
Water heating
The water (including contents) is hea-
ted by the heating element.
The heating duration and the targeted
temperature is determined by the auto-
matic program.
Content grinding
The solid contents are cut by the speci-
ally shaped blades. Duration and fre-
quency of meal-cycles is also deter-
mined by the automatic program.
The basis for all programs is always
0.5 liters of cold water.
Never pour hot or warm water,
since the programs are optimized
for cold water!
Automatische Programme
There are 2 different programs to
produce soy drinks. These control the
heating and grinding cycles in an op-
timized sequence and duration
respective to the desired output.
Additionally, you can also use the
function key BLEND to prepare a
mixed drink.
The desired program is selec-
ted by pressing one of the
buttons SOYMILK, TOFU or
BLEND. Program will light up.
Press the key START and it
starts the program.
The unit makes an acoustic sig-
nal at the end of program.
Tips and instructions for safe use
Always pull the power plug after
the end of the program (beep) or
a premature end.
Do not lift the device from the
pot during operation.
Otherwise, the program is imme-
diately interrupted.
If you do not use the Vegimat at
the moment, place the device in
cool-down pot to protect the
knives.
Always pour out remaining liquid
to prevent the formation of
germs.

12

13
General usage
Preparation
DANGER - Risk of death by
electric shock
Make sure that the power cord is
unplugged before you prepare
the device.
WARNUNG - Fire and scalding
Always ll in soybeans rst and
then the water. Do not use less
than 0.4 liters and no more than
0.5 liters in the pot.
Too little amount of water can burn
your ingredients at heating pipe. Too
much water can cause the boiling wa-
ter to spray out.
General preparation procedure
1. Remove the device from the pot
and place it aside or put it into
the supplied plastic cup.
2. Put the ingredients into the
empty pot (for proper amount
see instructions page 14-15)
3. Fill cold water into the pot.
At the marks you can see the
correct amount, which should be
about half a liter.
Do not use warm or hot water, other-
wise the programs may not work cor-
rectly.
Soak ingredients
You should always soak Soybeans
before processing to Soymilk:
1. Put the beans or nuts in a glass
or a bowl with enough water.
2. The soaking duration should be
between 5 and 10 hours, but not
more than 12 hours.
The swollen soybeans then reach 2
times of their dry weight, usually.
If it has been too long in the wa-
ter, then you might see foam pro-
duced on the surface of the water.
This indicates that the fermentation
process is underway already and bacte-
ria form carbon dioxide.

14
Program 1: SOYMILK
With this program you produce about
400 ml of fresh, homemade Soymilk
as a drink.
You need:
30 - 70 g Soybeans (dry
weight) You can use the supp-
lied measuring cup.
(After soaking, 50g dry beans
are about 100g.)
A pinch of salt

light is lit.
6. With the Start button, the auto-
matic program begins.
7. Program end is signaled by a
continuous beep. Then immedia-
tely disconnect the power cord
from the wall outlet and also
from the device.
8. Lift the device from the pot an
quickly rinse the heating pipe
and the blades with cold water.
Take care that only the white
plastic part gets water contact.
Then you can rest the device in
the supplied cool-down cup
conveniently.
9. The remains of soybeans
(=Okara) can be separated using
the supplied sieve. To do this,
slowly pour the soy milk from the
pot through the sieve into
another container.
TIPP: If you skip this step, you
can create „Okara-Tofu“.
Done!
With its intense grinding cycles, the
Vegimat Easy Tofu program makes a
perfect soy milk for tofu-making,
which is particularly rich in proteins.
For the next steps you should consult
the manual of your Tofu Press.

prepare another serving of soy milk.

16
BLENDING / MIXING
The Vegimat Easy also features a
handy mixer-function that gives you
additional uses.
BLEND
This program starts a six-times,
thorough grinding. This can be used
as desired for mixing your soy milk
with other ingredients.
You can also use it well to prepare
shakes and drinks from fruits, vege-
tables and / or herbs.

mixing function begins.
5. The program end is signaled by
two beeps.
6. Immediately unplug the power
cord from the wall outlet and
the unit.

17
Cleaning
DANGER - risk of death by
electric shock
Never clean with power cable
plugged!
The top of the unit (green color,
with control panel) must not
come into contact with water.!
The unit should never be comple-
tely submerged into water.
You may dry any spilled water
immediately so that no liquid can
penetrate into the interior.
ATTENTION - Damage
Do not use harsh chemicals,
aggressive or abrasive cleaning
agents to clean.
Cleaning
1. Pull the power-cord from the
device.
2. Hold the unit with one hand at
the round control panel and
put it under running water to
clean the underside with all the
metal parts and the white plas-
tic housing. You can use the
included cleaning kit to remove
any food residues.
3. Then set the device to dry up-
right on the included drip cup.
4. The transparent pot and the
included screen can be cleaned
quickly with the supplied
cleaning kit and a little deter-
gent or simply put it into the
dishwasher.
5. You can clean the head of the
device (green color) as needed
with a damp cloth.
TIP: Do the cleaning always as
soon as possible after the end
of a preparation, then you
avoid unnecessary difculties becau-
se of dried food debris.

18
Decalcify
Calcium deposits on the heating
element are safe, but can affect
the appearance and taste of the
water and thus your prepared
drinks or food.
Regular descaling also saves
energy and increases the lifetime
of the Vegimat.
The calcication of the heating
element is dependent upon the
calcium content (hardness) of
your water supply.
The higher the lime content, the
more often you should descale
the Vegimat, especially if there is
visible calcication.
Normally, a decalcication about
every 2-3 months is sufcient, if
used daily.
Out of consideration for the
environment, we recommend to
decalcify with a mixture of
vinegar or citric acid and water
in the ratio 1:3 (1 part
vinegar / citric acid to 3 parts
water)
1.
The vinegar solution must not
boil, as this will be strongly
foaming at boiling. Therefore
just use the program BLEND to
decalcify.
1. Provide adequate ventilation in
the room.
2. Fill the pot with 0.5 liters your
decalcify solution. Use warm or
hot water.
3. Start the BLEND Program (see
page 16).
4. After the end of the program (2
times beep) you unplug the
power cord and allow the unit
to sit in the solution for 1-2
hours.
5. Pour out the water and rinse
the bottom side and the pot
several times with clear water.

19
Troubleshooting
No function at all.
The operating panel cannot be
(correctly) controlled.
The unit turns off unexpectedly or the
program does not run through cor-
rectly.
