Connect the charger unit to the battery connector and plug the charger into the wall outlet. If your
battery is fully discharged, it will take up to 5 hours to charge both batteries. If you charge only one
battery at a time, it will take half of the typical charge time. The light on the charger will be red
when the battery are charging, and green when they are fully charged. The charger is a smart
charger, so it will not over charge the batteries. However, it is not a good idea to leave the charger
plugged into the battery for weeks or months.
External Power Adapters (12v)
The MOTIONHeat glove liners can be powered from external 12v power sources.
The images shown below detail the various wiring adapters available (sold
separately). These adapters can be used for application such as:
•
Car charger/adapter (power source from 12v lighter socket, can be use as
charger, but also be uses for running the gloves without batteries )
•
Motorcycle (power source from SAE trailer connector)
•
Snowmobile (power source from RCA jack)
•
Motorcycle (power source from 3/8” eyelet connector)

Off Season Storage
When winter is over and you no longer need to use your heated glove liners, remove
the battery from the cuff, fully charge the batteries, and place the batteries in a cool,
dry area. It is VERY important to charge the batteries before storing for long periods
of time. Failing to charge the batteries before storing can SEVERELY decrease the
capacity of the batteries.
Care and Washing Guide
IMPORTANT! The battery pack must never get wet. To avoid damaging your heated glove liners,
before washing you MUST remove the battery pack from the glove liners.
Your heated glove liners must be HAND WASHED separately in cold water with mild detergent.
HANG DRY with battery inputs facing downwards allowing any water to drain.

IMPORTANT – DON’T get wet
The heating system, including the battery pack is not designed to be used underwater. If the glove
liners get very wet during use (such as heavy rain, heavy perspiration, or soaked outer gloves),
detach the battery pack and do not use until the glove liners are fully dry. In addition, the battery
back must never be immersed in water, as this will cause electrical faults. Keep all electrical parts
dry.
MAINTAINING YOUR HEATED LINERS

Things That You Should NOT Do:
The heating system has been designed for safe and reliable use. DO
NOT replace or interfere with the electrical components in the heated
glove liners or the battery pack.
It is safe to use the heated gloves to heat other body parts such as
chest, back, etc. However, do not fall asleep while using the glove
liners.
Our heated glove liners were designed to provide a tight fit and are
made from Spandex. The heated glove liners should be used with
other external gloves for protection. If the heated glove liners are
used without other external gloves, they may be more easily
damaged.
Do not leave the heated glove liners ON if they are unattended.
When the heated glove liners are not in use for long periods of time,
or when transporting the heated glove liners (e.g. in a bag, purse,
backpack, of suitcase), the batteries should be disconnected from the
liners.
As a safety precaution, do not leave the heated glove liners turned on
near highly flammable materials.
To reduce the risk of injury, always unplug the charger and remove the
battery pack from the heated gloves before performing any maintenance.
Never disassemble the heated gloves, battery pack, or charger. Contact
Power In Motion or its dealers for all repairs.
To reduce the risk of personal injury and damage, disconnect and remove
the battery pack from the battery pocket before washing. Never immerse
your battery pack or charger in liquid or allow liquid to flow inside them.
If the heated gloves do not operate properly with a fully charged battery
pack, clean the contacts on the battery pack. If the heated gloves still do
not work properly, return the heated gloves, charger, and battery pack to
Power In Motion or its dealers for all repairs.
Do not use the battery pack if it has become wet. Keep the batteries away
from fire and other heat sources to avoid the risk of explosion. Always keep
the battery pack out of reach of children.
WARNINGS

If your heated gloves are packed in your luggage, and the battery have
NOT been disconnected, then the pressure of other items in the luggage
could push the buttons and turn on the glove liners from inside your
luggage.
Avoid stacking item on top of your heated liners during storage. The
pressure and weight of other gear could push the buttons and cause the
liners to turn on without your knowledge.
When the liners are stored in an enclosed compartment that may bounce or
move (backpack, hand bag, or vehicle compartments) the movement may
cause adjacent objects to turn on the heated gloves if the batteries are still
connected. Always disconnect the batteries after use.
Many electronic devices can interfere with avalanche transceiver beacons.
This include metallic foil, headlamps, cameras, cell phones, GPS, which
also include heated gloves. As a rule of thumb, you should keep your
electronics at least 50cm (20 inches) from your avalanche transceiver when
in searching mode. For safety reason, TURN OFF the heated gloves when
you are wearing a transceiver beacon, or entering into avalanche terrain.
