Installation
Disconnect the power necessary to make the installation
location electrically safe. If In-Site is installed at the point of
common coupling (service entrance), turn off the AC mains.
Install as close to Point of Common Coupling (PCC) as
possible while observing all local electrical standards i.e.
NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E. To ensure safety follow Lock Out Tag
Out (LOTO) procedures.
Install In-Site gateway within 20 ft of connection point
(length of CT secondary wiring).
Note—Overcurrent protection devices (fuses) are installed in
the unit. Replace in kind if required.
voltage measurement lines: ATDR2 – 600Vac Class CC
2A Time Delay 200kA
power supply: BK1-S505H-1-R – 250Vac 20mm 1A
Time Delay Fuse 1kA
Connect the 5A split-core CT’s on the 5A secondary leads of
existing MV CT.
Following the instructions provided with the CT, Install the
CT with THE WHITE CT LABEL FACING TOWARD THE SOURCE
(Figure 2).
WARNING: Ensure that the CT’s secondary circuit is short-
circuited prior to work on CT circuit. Under no circumstances
should the secondary circuit of the CT be operated without a
shorting block in place as lethal voltages may be present.
Connect CT leads for I1-I4 to terminals 1 — 8 per Figure 3
(below).
Phases are color coded.

Using installer-provided wiring install Mains AC voltage input
wires for L1, L2, L3 on existing Potential Transformers (PTs)
and Neutral and Ground (PE) per Figure 3 (below)
for a WYE
configuration. If configuring a DELTA system, input wires for
L1, L2, L3, and Ground (PE).
Using installer-provided wiring connect the power supply to a 120Vac source to terminals 11-12.
