General Description:
The RU 2700 unit is a solid state, remote
programmable, digital recorder that stores audio
programs for information on-hold. ll programming
features can be controlled remotely over the
telephone line.
It is the Ultimate in Remote Downloading
Features:
Flash Memory –
technological breakthrough
gives the RUF 2700 the
memory of the future. With this
new, nonvolatile memory, the
recording will never be lost due
to loss of power. Flash memory
eliminates the need for back-up
batteries. With Flash Memory,
first time programming can be
done at the dealer’s facility and
the unit can be sent to the
customer’s site fully loaded.

production, volume level and
setting of security code can be
downloaded remotely from a
touch-tone telephone.

Installation:
1. Connect RU to the phone line it
will be answering. Make sure no
other products, such as modems
or faxes are connected to this
line. For Model 2700F, connect
fax machine to fax line on side
of the unit.
2. Connect C adaptor to a suitable
120 V C outlet and the other end
into the 12VDC jack on the side
of the unit.
3. Connect a cable (provided) from
the music on-hold input of the phone system to the 600 or 8 ohm output of
the RU. The 8 ohm output is amplified for systems that require amplification
(Try the 600 ohm first if unsure which to use).

Upon receipt, the manufacturer will repair or
replace, at its option, for a period of three years
from the date of purchase, any system that
proves defective in materials or workmanship.
The manufacturer is not liable for indirect,
incidental, or consequential damages in
connection with the use of this product. This
limited warranty does not include labor for
installation or removal of the unit.
