• Whenrelocating the product placedon a cart,it must be movedwith utmost care.Sudden stops, excessiveforce and
uneven floor surface can cause the product to fall from the cart.

enoughprotectionagainstvoltagesurges andbuilt-upstatic charges.Section 810ofthe NationalElectricalCode provides
informationwith respectto propergrounding ofthe mastand supportingstructure, groundingof thelead-in wireto an
antennadischarge unit,sizeof groundingconductors, locationofantenna-discharge unit,connection togroundingelec-
trodes,and requirementsfor thegrounding electrode.
• Foradded protectionto thistelevision equipmentduring alightning storm,orwhen itis leftunattended andunused for
long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna. This will prevent damage to the
equipmentdue tolightning andpower-line surges.

• Anoutside antennasystem shouldnot be locatedin thevicinity ofoverhead powerlines or otherelectric lightor power
circuits,or where itcan fall intosuch powerlines or circuits.When installing anoutside antenna system,extreme care
shouldbe taken tokeepfrom touching suchpower lines orcircuits as contactwith them mightbe fatal.

USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
•Usetheremote controlbypointing ittowards theremotesensor window.Objectsbetween theremotecontrol andsensor
windowmay preventproperoperation.
Cautions regarding use of remote control
•Donot expose the remotecontrol to shock.
Inaddition,do not exposethe remotecontrol toliquids,anddo not placein anarea with highhumidity.
•Donot install or placethe remote controlunder direct sunlight.The heat may causedeformation of theunit.
•Theremote controlmaynot workproperlyif theremote sensorwindowof themain unitisunder directsunlight orstrong
lighting.In sucha case,changetheangleof thelighting orLCD TVset, oroperate theremotecontrol closerto theremote
sensorwindow.
Battery for the Remote Control (fig. 2)
If the remote control fails to to operate the LCD color TV functions, replace the batteries in the remote control.
1. Open the battery bracket.
• Press the hook to release the lock before pulling out the battery bracket.
• While the bracket lock is released, pull the battery bracket out of the remote control.
2. Insertbattery.
• Place the battery onto the bracket.
3. Pushthe bracket insidethe remote controlwith the battery onit.
Caution !
Cautions regarding batteries
Improperuse of batteries canresult in aleakage of chemicals and/ or explosion.Be sure to followthe instructions below.
•Placebattery with theirterminals corresponding to the(+) and (-)indications.
•Different types of batteries have different characteristics. Do not mix batteries of different types.
•Removebatteries when theybecome weak.
•Thebattery supplied withthe product mayhavea shorter lifeexpectancy due tostorage conditions.
•If the remote control is not used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries from the remote control.

ANTENNAS
•Theantenns requirementsforgood colortelevision receptionare moreimportantthan thosefor black& whitetelevision
reception.For thisreason, agood quality outdoorantenna isstrongly recommended.
Thefollowing isa briefexplanation ofthe typeof connectionsthat areprovided whiththe variousantenna systems.See
Fig.4
1. A75-ohm systemisgenerally around cablewithF-type connectorthat caneasily beattachedto aterminal withouttools
(notsupplied).
2. A300-ohm systemis aflat“twin-lead”cable thatcan beattachedtoa 75-ohmterminalthrougha 300-75-ohmadapter
(notsupplied).
OUTDOOR ANTENNA CONNECTION (Fig.5)
•Useone of thefollowing two diagramsif you connectan outdoor antenna.
A:Using aVHF/UHF combinationoutdoor antenna.
B:Using separate VHFand / orUHF outdoor antennas.
•Connect the outdoor antenna cable lead-in to the ANT.terminal on the rear of the TV set.

OSD FUNCTION KEYS OPERATION:
Use the“INPUT”function key to change the display setting mode.There are five display setting modes ofPC,TV,AV,SV &
YCbCravailable inthis product.
Onanyfour ofthe followingdisplaymode (PC,AV,SVor YCbCr),itwill automaticallyreturntoTVmode ifuser pressCH+( )
or CH-( ) key.
For PC Setting Mode:
Somedirectfunction keys areasfollows:
Pressthe“AUTO”keyto autoadjustthe picturequality todefault setting.It will takefew seconds toadjustthe screensetting
when“AutoAdjusting…”message displayson thescreen.
Press the“+”or“-”keys to increase or decrease the audio volume.

Pressthe“MENU”key,the“ImagePage”willbe availableforadjustment.Therearesixitems suchasBrightness,Contrast,Clock,
Phase,H-Position&V-positionavailablefor adjustment.(Pressthe“EXIT”key toreturnone levelup of the OSDmenu.)
Press the“MENU”key again to enter (highlight) the item and use“+”or“-”keys to adjust the value.
Use the“UP”or“DOWN”keys to select the desired items and use“+”or“-”keys again to adjust the value.
Use the“EXIT”key to return one level up of the OSD menu.
Inthe PCSettingMode,pressthe“DOWN”keytoselect“ColorTemperaturePage”,“OSDPage”,“Audiopage”,“FactoryPage”&“PIP/
POPPage.”
Color Temperature Page (fig. 8):
Thereare threemodes available:6500K,7500K, 9300K.
Usethe“MENU”Keytohighlight thefirst itemanduse the“UP”or“DOWN”keystoselect thecolor temperatureorfurther down
to“R”,“G”or“B”items and use“+”or“-”keysto adjust thesetting value.

BASIC OPERATION
Volume (Direct control) or control (fig. 30)
1.Press to increase thesound volume. Thecontrol bar ofthe indicator increases.
2. Press todecrease the sound volume. Thecontrol bar of theindicator decreases.
To mute the sound
1. Press MUTEto temporarily turn offthe sound.
2.PressMUTE to soundback to theprevious level.
ON / OFF Control (fig. 31)
Toturnoff the LCDTV
Press onthe remote control. ThePower indicator willturnoff.
To turn the LCD TV back on
Press again.The Power indicatorwill turngreen.
Changing the channels on TV (fig. 32)
On anyfour ofthe followingdisplay mode (PC,AV,SV orYCbCr),it will automatically returntoTV modeif user pressCH+(
) or CH-( ) key.
