An authorised Pride Provider or qualified technician must perform the initial setup of this
product and must perform all of the procedures in this manual.

LIFTING CAPABILITIES
Themaximum weightthe Go-GoTravelLift wasdesigned to liftis 130 lbs. (60kg). Underno circumstances
shouldtheGo-GoTravelLiftbemadeto lift more than130 lbs. Subjectingthe Go-GoTravelLiftto the strainof
hoistingmorethanitisdesignedtoliftmaycauseittofail,damagingyourscooter,injuringthepersonoperatingthe
lift,orboth.
WARNING! Adding accessories, oversize batteries, or a different seat will increase the
weight of your scooter. Verify with your authorized Pride Provider that the total weight of
your scooter, after the additions, does not exceed 130 lbs (60 kg ).
INSTALLATION
YourGo-GoTravelLiftsystemwasdesignedto be mounted primarilyinavehicle.MountingyourGo-GoTravel
Liftonaplatform,wheretheheightofthelift maycausetheliftingstraptoextendbeyondasafepoint,candamage
theGo-GoTravelLiftand injurethe operatorof the lift.Thedistance between thetopof theboom armand the
scootershouldnot exceed 70in.(177.8cm) when theboom armis fullyextended.
Readand fully understandthedirectionsfordrillingthemountingholesforthe Go-GoTravelLiftbase.
WARNING! Before drilling the mounting holes in your vehicle, make absolutely certain,
through a visual inspection, there are no obstructions in the path of the drill bit, such as
the fuel tank, exhaust pipes, or electrical wires.
LIFTING NON-GO-GOTRAVEL LIFT ITEMS
TheGo-GoTravel Liftis an extremelyversatile device, whichusers may employto lift itemsother thanPride
products.Pridehasnocontrol over such use, nor can Pride anticipate every possible use towhichaGo-GoTravel
Liftmay beput. Lifting non-Prideproducts with theGo-GoTravel Liftis done atthe operator’sown risk,and
Prideaccepts no liabilityfordamageorinjuryresultingfromsuchuse.
PRELIFT INSPECTION
InspecttheliftingstrapoftheGo-GoTravelLiftbeforeeveryusefortwisting,fraying,andsignsofwear.Ifsignsof
wearbecomeevident, have thestrap replacedby yourauthorized PrideProvider.
WARNING! A frayed or worn lifting strap can snap, resulting in damage to the scooter
being lifted and injury to the lift operator.
To find the weightofthescooteryouare lifting, refer to its owner’smanual.
OPERATOR POSITIONING
KeephandsclearoftheliftingstrapwhiletheGo-GoTravelLiftislifting/loweringascooter.Theoperatorofthelift
shouldstandasafedistancefromtheunitbeinglifted/loweredtoensurethathis/herfeetareneverpositionedunder
araised scooter.
TRANSPORT VEHICLE POSITIONING
Besureyourvehicleis parked on flat, levelground before attempting tolift a scooter.
WARNING! Attempting to lift a scooter when a vehicle is not on level ground will cause the
scooter to swing toward or away from the vehicle, making it difficult to get the scooter
into the vehicle.

NOTE: Most roads have a crown to help with
water runoff. However, if the crown is severe
enough, it may cause difficulty getting your
scooter into the vehicle. In this case it may be
better to install the lift on the left side.
DETERMINE L-BASE LOCATION
1. Assemble the L-Base. See figure 1. For opti-
mal use, insert the base extensions into the L-
baseat theirfarthestextension pointand install
the hardware (nuts and bolts). The base exten-
sionscan be adjustedtoaccommodate obstruc-
tions.
NOTE:Always insert the bolt from the inside of
the L-base. This allows the base extensions to
be properly tightened without rattling.
2. Beforepermanentlyinstallingthelift,placetheL-
baseinsideyourvehicleintheareainwhichyou
intend toinstall it. Seefigure2for L-base posi-
tioningin vehicles withhatchbacks, orfigure 3
fortrunkinstallation.
Positioning the L-base close to the rear allows the
boom-arm to stay as short as possible; this enables
theboomarmtoswingfreelywithoutmakingcontact
withthevehicle.
VEHICLES WITH TRUNKS
Position the L-base as shown in figure3.Youmay
needto situate theL-baseso the wheelwelldoesn’t
interferewiththeL-base extensions. Ensure thereis
adequateroom fora scooterto comfortably fitinto
thetrunk.

1. InserttheupperpostintotheL-base.Seefigure4.
2. Assemblethesplit ring collar.Seefigure5.
3. Slide the split ring collar over the upper post
and tighten both screws (a good starting point
is approximately 12in.(30cm).down from the
top of the upper post). See figure 4. To en-
sure safe operation, the split ring collar must
be secured no closer than 5in.(12.5 cm) from
the top of the upper post.
WARNING! Failing to tighten both
screws of the split ring collar
could cause damage to your lift,
scooter, and vehicle.
NOTE: The split ring collar may need to be ad-
justeddown sothe boomarm hassufficient head
room to swing into a vehicle, or adjusted up so
the scooter being lifted has ample room to clear
obstructions.

VEHICLES WITH HATCHBACKS - MINI
VANS, STATION WAGONS, ETC.
Oncethelift isassembled andseated onthe L-base,
close the hatch slowly to make sure the lift doesn’t
makecontactwithit. If the lift is too close to therear,
adjustitspositionslightlyuntilthehatchcanclosewith-
outmaking contactwith the lift.Positioning theL-
baseclosetotherearallowstheboom-armtostayas
shortas possible.Thisenables theliftto swinginto
thevehiclewithout contacting the farside ofthe ve-
hicle.
Youmayneedtoadjusttheheight ofthemotorhous-
ing(seefigures6 and7) or thelengthof the boom-
arm(seefigure8)so the boom arm can swing freely
withouthittingatanypointinsidethevehicle.

SPLIT RING COLLAR ADJUSTMENT
Thesplitringcollaristheheightadjustmentforthemotor
housing.See figure 7. The placement of the split ring
collardeterminestheheightofthemotor housing.
"Lower the collar when more room is needed over-
headtoswingtheboomarminside a vehicle.
"Raise the collar when more height is needed to en-
ablea scooterto belifted into atrunk.
To adjustthesplitringcollar:
1. Loosen thetwo screws on thecollar. Seefigure7.
2. Raiseorlowerthecollartotheheightyoumayneed.
3. Tightenthescrews
BOOM ARM ADJUSTMENT
Before adjusting the boom arm, lower the lifting hook
about12 in.(30cm).Thiswill provideenough slack in
the strap to enable the adjustable portion of the boom
arm (top tube) to be pulled out of the bottom tube to its
farthestadjustment hole. See figure8.
To adjusttheboomarm:
1. Removethe bowtiecotter pinfromthe adjustment
pinandremovethe adjustment pin.
2. Slidethetop tube inor out tothe desired adjustment
hole.
3. Aligntheadjustmentholesofthetopandbottomtube
andreinsertthe adjustment pin.
NOTE: Do not force the pin into the adjustment
hole. Be sure that the strap is not pinched when
inserting the pin.
4. Reinstallthebowtiecotterpin.
L-BASE INSTALLATION
Afterdeterminingthe ideal spotfor yourlift tobe permanentlymounted, removethe entirelift fromthe vehicle
exceptfor theL-base.
1. Inspecttheundercarriage ofthe vehiclewhere thelift L-baseis locatedfor obstructionsthatmayhinder the
installationofthefive(5)mountingboltsthatwillsecuretheL-basetothevehicle.Obstructionsmayconsistof
electricalwiring,gas tank, bumpermounts,orexhaust pipes.Youmay need toadjust thebase extensionsto
clearobstructions.Ifpossible, install theL-base with thebase extensionsfully extended. Seefigure9.
WARNING! The bumper mounts on some vehicles are gas pressured. DO NOT drill into
them. They may explode casing severe injury.

4. PositiontheT-bar onthe end ofthe base supportthat runsparallelwith therearof thevehicle,and installa
mounting bolt andwasher through it andthe L-base. Seefigure9.
NOTE: The T-bar need only be installed in van or SUV installations. When the lift is installed inside
a trunk, it is necessary to remove the motor housing and upper post for the trunk to close.
5. Installthefour(4)remainingmountingboltsandwashersontotheL-base.
NOTE: Choosing the correct length bolt allows enough bolt-thread to pass through the undercarriage,
ensuring enough room for the mounting washer and nut to be installed securely.
6. Fromunderthe vehicle, installthe mounting washersand nuts toall five (5) mountingbolts and tighten.See
figure9.
NOTE: The two holes in the mounting washers are for working around obstructions. Choose the hole
that best works in the area you are installing the mounting bolts.

ELECTRICAL WIRING INSTALLATION
1. Routethelift’s longredpositive(+)powerwire (startingatthelift)throughthe interiorofthevehicleuntilyou
reach the automobile battery. See figure 12. Conceal the wire behind or under the interior panels (there
shouldbeexisting holes). Be certainthatthewireisprotectedwitharubbergrommetwhen passing it through
the metal panels and into the engine compartment. Inside the engine compartment, secure the wire to the
firewallandthe inner fender withthe suppliedplastic wire ties.Use carenot to causeabrasions to thepower
wire.Itisimportant to securethe power wireat various pointsalong itsrun.
WARNING! The red positive (+) wire must be connected directly to the positive (+) battery
terminal.
2. Connecttheshort portion (with fuse)of thered positive (+)power wire tothe positive(+) battery terminal.
3. Inserttheendofthelongportionoftheredpowerwireintotheyellowconnectoroftheshortportionandcrimp
itsecurely.Oncecrimped, pull on the wiregently to ensure a goodconnection. Wrapping the connectorwith
electricaltape willhelppreventmoisturefromcorrodingthe connection.
7. Place the L-base cap over the L-base and secure it with the supplied screws. See figure10.
8. Reinstalltheupperpost.
9. Reinstallthemotorhousingandmakeadjustmentsasnecessary.
Theliftisnow fully assembled. Seefigure11.

WARNING! Before operating the
Go-Go Travel Lift for the first time,
be absolutely sure you have the
proper docking device for your
scooter.
1. Positionyourscooter(withthekeyremoved and
thetiller lowered)on the groundbehind thein-
stalledlift. Be surethat thereisample space be-
tweenthescooter and thevehicle bumper toen-
surethatthescooterwillnothitthebumperwhile
being raised. If the scooter is too far from the
vehicle’s bumper, the scooter will be dragged
whenattemptingtoliftit.
2. Positionthe boom armover thescooter.
3. Operate the lift (use the hand control—seefig-
ure13) inthedownwarddirection until thelift-
inghook reaches theT-bar.Theliftstrap should
drop straight down to the T-bar. Seefigure 14.
WARNING! Inspect the lifting strap
before each use for twisting,
fraying, and signs of wear.
"Keeptensionon the liftingstrapwithyour
freehandwhenloweringtheliftinghook.
"Lowertheliftinghookonly to the T-bar of
thedockingdevice.
WARNING! Do not extend the
lifting strap past the warning label

4. PlacetheliftinghookontothedockingdeviceT-
bar. See figure 14.
5. Operatetheliftinthe upward direction.
WARNING! Pinch/Crush Hazard!
Always keep hands clear of the
lifting strap while the SilverBoom
is lifting/lowering a mobility
device. The operator of the lift
should stand a safe distance away
from the mobility device being
lifted/lowered to ensure that feet
are never positioned under a raised
mobility device.

dragging occurs, your scooter is too far away from
thevehicle.

6. Ifthe scooterbegins to tilt,lower itcompletely
andadjustthedockingdevicebymovingthepick-
up bar in the direction of the tilt (when using a
C-arm).
7. Tighten the pick-up bar once the proper balance
pointhas beenfound(whenusingaC-arm).
8. Oncethescooterisraised high enough to fit into
thevehicle, stop thelift.Seefigure16.
9. Swingthe boom armtowardthe vehicle. When
thescooterissecurelyinthevehicle,lowerthelift
strap until all of the scooter’s wheels are on a

10. If installed in a van, disconnect the hook from the docking device and attach it to the T-bar on the base
extension.(Thispreventstheboomarmfromswingingfreelywhiletheautomobileisinmotion.)Operatethelift
intheupward directionuntil thestrap issnug. Seefigure17.
WARNING! When transporting the lift, secure the boom arm to prevent it from rotating in any
direction. A swinging boom arm can be a hazard. If you can’t secure the boom arm to
prevent it from swinging freely, remove the motor housing and lay it flat inside the vehicle.
WARNING! Do not overtighten the strap. Doing so may put unwanted strain on the motor,
causing the circuit breaker to trip.
NOTE: If installed in a trunk, disconnect the black-red power harness (see figure 12) and remove the
motor housing and upper post and place it in an area where it will be secure. The height of the boom
arm will not allow the trunk to close.
11. DisconnectthepowertotheGo-GoTravelLifttopreventanyaccidentalmovementwhentransportingyourscooter.
WARNING! Your Go-Go Travel Lift was designed to be mounted primarily in a vehicle.
Mounting your Go-Go Travel Lift on a platform, where the height of the lift may cause the
lifting strap to extend beyond a safe point, can damage the Go-Go Travel Lift and injure
the operator of the lift.

V. TROUBLESHOOTING
LIFT WILL NOT OPERATE
"Check the circuit breaker reset button. Reset if
necessary. See figure18.
"Ensureallharnessconnectionsaresecure.
"Ensure the power wire leading to the positive
batteryterminalistightandnotcorroded.
"Check the fuse located on the red power wire
near the battery. If blown, replace with a new
25-amp fuse. See figure 19.
WARNING! Do not use a higher
rated fuse than 25-amp. Doing so
may damage the lift’s electrical
system.
LIFT STOPS OPERATING
IfyourGo-GoTravelLiftisheavilystrainedbecause
ofexcessiveloads,the main circuit breaker(seefig-
ure18)maytriptoprotectthemotorandelectronics
fromdamage.Whenthebreakertrips,theentireelec-
tricalsystem shuts down.
WARNING! Never attempt to lift
more than 130 lbs. (60 kg) with the
Go-Go Travel Lift.

1. Allowaminute or so for theelectronicsto “cool.”
2. Pushin thereset buttonto reset thebreaker.

LIFTING STRAP TRAVELS IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF BUTTON BEING PUSHED
ON HAND CONTROL
Before each use, check that the lifting strap is traveling in the proper direction. If the belt travels in the wrong
directionwhenyoupress either the upor down button,you must restore properlifting strap travel.
Torestoreproperliftingstraptravel:
1. Pullslightlyonthestrapandoperatetheliftuntilthestrapisextendedcompletelypastthe“stop”warninglabel.
2. Allowthestrapto rewind itself. Do notallow any twists in thebelt.
Observethetravelofthebelt:itshouldcorrespondwiththebuttonbeingpushedonthehandcontrol.Ifyouarestill
experiencingproblems,contactyour authorized Pride Provider.

Damagecausedby:
"Abuse,misuse, accident, ornegligence.
"Improperoperation,installation, maintenance, or storage.
"Commercialuseorotherthanintendeduse.
"Repairsand/ormodificationsmadetoanypartwithoutspecificconsentfromPride
MobilityProductsCorporation.
"CircumstancesbeyondthecontrolofPride.
Labor, service calls, shipping, and other charges incurred for repair of the product unless specifically au-
thorized by Pride.
Thereisno other expresswarranty.
Impliedwarranties,including those of merchantability andfitnessforaparticularpurpose,arelimitedtooneyear
fromthe date ofpurchaseandtotheextentpermittedbylaw. Anyandallimpliedwarrantiesareexcluded. This is
theexclusiveremedy. Liabilitiesforconsequentialdamagesunderallwarrantiesareexcluded. Somestatesdonot
allowlimitations onhowlonganimpliedwarrantylastsor donotallowtheexclusionoflimitationof incidentalor
