not fitted correctly.
The surfaces of the appliance, and especially the

Ensure that these surfaces are out of reach of small
children.
Do not insert any object through the grille openings.
Doing so could impede operation and cause the

Never use the appliance in conjunction with a timer.
Unsupervised automatic use of heaters can be very
dangerous.
Ensure that you do not allow the mains cable to
come into contact with the hot appliance.
Electric heaters are designed to provide
supplementary heating and are therefore not
suitable for use as the main source of heating in
cold weather.
If the appliance falls over, first disconnect the power
supply before righting the appliance. Remove the
cause of the heater falling before re-use.
Never leave your appliance unattended. Also always
pull the plug out of the socket when you leave the
room.
Do not use an extension lead.

curtains and/or heat-sensitive synthetic materials).

is damaged in any way.
A mains cable and/or plug should be replaced only by

oUsing these holes as a template, position the
fixing, mark the positions on the wall and drill two
6 mm holes. Insert wall plugs.
oThe electrical connection must be EARTHED!
There are 2 connection options:
- Plugging the attached cable into a mains
socket
- Using a fixed wire connection
oWhen the cable is securely fixed in place, use
the enclosed screws to secure the wall fixing
oFOR XVB CONNECTION ONLY: Remove the
two screws (marked D above) from the cable
clamp, then remove the original connector cable
and insert the XVB cable into the cable clamp.
Make sure that the connections are made in
accordance with the symbols shown and in
accordance with the following data.
Important!
The wires in the mains cable are colour-coded as
follows:
oGreen and yellow: earth = connect to E or earth
symbol.
oBlue: neutral = connect to N
oBrown (black, red. etc.): live = connect to L
Connect the XVB wires into the connector block.
Tighten the screw to secure the XVB cable in the
cable clip.
Replace the wall cover fixing and tighten screw.
Use part A to set the heater to the desired angle.
It is important to avoid touching the heating
elements during installation, because doing so may
leave finger marks that could reduce heat output
and/or damage the elements.
Operation
Pull cord (S):
o0 = OFF
o1 = 600W
o2 = 1200W
It is normal for the indicator lamps to flicker when
the cord (S) is pulled.
Please note
Before moving the quartz heater, make sure that it is
completely cold and always use the handle supplied.
When using the heater for the first time, you may see
a little smoke or detect a slight odour. This may
occur if a heating element acquires a thin film of oil
during the manufacturing process, and is quite
normal. The oil will soon evaporate, and does not
normally cause any damage.
Cleaning
We recommend that you clean your quartz heater
once a month to remove any dirt and dust. This will
ensure that the appliance operates efficiently and
safely.
Always turn off the switch (S) and pull out the plug
before you start cleaning!
Clean the casing with a clean, soft, slightly
dampened cloth. Never clean the heating elements
or switches. Ensure that the appliance is completely
dry before switching back on. Do not use any
detergent (wax) or cleaning agents, which may
cause the coloured components to fade when
heated.
Never touch the quartz elements.
When your heater is not in use, we recommend that
it is stored in its original packaging. Store in clean
dust-free surroundings.
