This FAQ is frequent question or concern user encounter throughout using the Smart Plug. This
document contain questions and their answers.
(Q1) What is the device can be controlled by Smart Plug?
Smart Plug can control any electrical appliance as long as the electrical appliances is accordance with
the Smart Plug’s specifications and the operating current must be less than 13A. You can connect
device such as Television, satellite box, stand lamp, air purifier and stereo.
(Q2) Can I plug in power strip to the smart plug?
Yes, power strip can be plug to the Smart Plug as long as the total power load is less than 2860W and
the total current does not exceed the maximum current rating of 13A.
(Q3) Can the Smart Plug be used for outdoor?
No, Smart Plug should not be used for outdoor because it was not design to have water-proof
protection. The Smart Plug is design to be used for indoor usage.
(Q4) Can I use the smart plug without a smartphone?
Yes, Smart Plug can be control without a Smartphone using the Power button on the Smart Plug. The
Status LED will indicates the Smart Plug status. Smart Plug status on the PROLiNK mEzee also
updated according to the current status of the Smart Plug.
(Q5) Do Smart Plug connect with 5 GHz Wi-Fi frequency?
No, currently Smart Plug only support for 2.4GHz wireless connections.
(Q6) Where can I control the Smart Plug from?
Smart Plug can be control from anywhere using PROLiNK mEzee app using Smartphone as long as the
Smartphone can connect to the Internet or your local wireless network.

(Q7) Can I control the Smart Plug from the Smartphone through cellular
network?
Yes, Smart Plug can be control through the cellular network on the Smartphone as long as the cellular
network have the Internet data.
(Q8) How to connect the Smart Plug to another WiFi SSID?
1. Remove the Smart Plug from mEzee app.
a. Launch the mEzee app.
b. Tap the Smart Plug icon.

c. Go to Setting.
d. Tap the “Remove Device” and tap “Confirm”.
e. Set up the Smart Plug to connect to the new SSID and password.

(Q9) Can the Smart Plug be shared to another user?
Yes, Smart Plug can be share by multiple of Smartphone by share the Smart Plug through the mEzee
app. The following are procedure to share the Smart Plug.
1. Launch the PROLiNK mEzee.
2. Tap the Smart Plug icon on the Home.

3. Go to Setting.
4. Go to Share Device.

5. Tap Add Sharing.
6. Enter the mEzee account of the user you are would like to share and tap “Done”.
7. The Smart Plug now is available on shared user account.
Note that the sharing can only be done when both the main user and the shared user are
registered under the same country/region.

(Q10) After a power outage in my house, will my smart plug return back to
normal operation after the power is recover back?
Yes, when power is return back the Smart Plug will automatically connect and return back to the
previous state.
(Q11) How to set Smart Plug with Amazon Alexa?
Smart Plug is compatible with Amazon Alexa, you can make a voice command through Smart Speaker
such as “Alexa, turn on fan”, after setting up Amazon Alexa skill. The following is procedure to set up
Amazon Alexa skill.
1. Open web browser and go to https://alexa.amazon.com .
2. Create your Amazon account.
3. Go Home page, click “Skills” on the side panel.

4. On Skills page, enter “Smart Life” on the search box. Then click Smart Life.
5. Click “Enable” button to setting up the account link.

6. Enter your mEzee account and password, then tap “Link Now”.
7. Select mEzee account to link with Amazon Alexa.

8. Tap on the “Authorize”.
9. After successfully link, you will be notice with a successful linked message.

10. On the Home page, there Amazon Alexa will prompt a message to discover the device. Click
“DISCOVER THE DEVICES”.
11. Wait for 20 seconds until the Amazon Alexa finish scan the devices. After finish, your Smart
Plug now is appear on the Device list.
12. Your Smart Plug now can be control using voice command from any Amazon Alexa Smart
Speaker or using PROLiNK PSB8602E Wireless Smart Speaker [sold separately].
(Q12) How to set Smart Plug with Google Assistant?
Smart Plug is compatible with Google Assistant, you can make voice command such as “Turn on Fan”
and control the Smart Plug using Google Home, after setting up Google Home. The following is
procedure to set up Google Home.
1. Download and install the Google Home from Google Play or App Store.
2. Register Google Home account.
3. Launch the Google Home.

4. Go to Account setting.
5. Tap “Set up or add”.

6. Tap “Set up device”.
7. Tap “Have something already set up”.
8. Search for “Smart Life”.

9. Enter your mEzee account and password, then tap “Link Now”.
10. Select mEzee account to link with Google Home.

11. Tap on the “Authorize”.
12. Select your Smart Plug and tap “ADD TO ROOM”.

13. Select the Smart Plug location and tap “Next”.
14. Tap “DONE” to complete the setup.
15. Go to the Home and the Smart Plug is now available in the Google Home. The Smart Plug can
be control through Google Home or by voice command using Google Assistant by saying “Hey
