INTRODUCTION
The soldering gun is portable and ready to power on and solder wherever you
need. It features a rechargeable battery, a charging cord with adapter and a
self-feeding solder spool mechanism.
The soldering gun uses soft, flexible solder only. Silver or brass-based solder are
not suitable, as they require a blow torch to reach the melting point.

WORK AREA
1. Operate in a safe work environment. Keep your work area clean, well-lit and
free of distractions. Place lights so you are not working in a shadow.
2. Keep anyone not wearing the appropriate safety equipment away from the
work area.
3. Store unused tools properly in a dry, safe and secure location to prevent rust,
damage or misuse.
4. Do not install or use in the presence of flammable gases, dust or liquids.
PERSONAL SAFETY
WARNING! Wear personal protective equipment approved by the
Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or American National
Standards Institute (ANSI).
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
1. Always wear impact safety goggles that provide front and side protection for
the eyes. Eye protection equipment should comply with CSA Z94.3-07 or
ANSI Z87.1 standards based on the type of work performed.
2. Wear protective clothing and gloves designed for the work environment,
materials and tools.
3. Wear the appropriate rated dust mask or respirator. Wear a NIOSH approved
respirator when working on materials that produce hazardous fumes, dust or
particulate matter.
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Control the tool, personal movement and the work environment to avoid personal
injury or damage to tool.
1. Do not operate any tool when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medications.
2. Keep your fingers away from the trigger/switch while carrying the tool,
attaching a hose or an accessory. Lock the trigger/switch safety if available.
3. Avoid unintentional starts. Make sure the ON/OFF switch is set to OFF before
connecting the soldering gun to a power supply.
SPECIFIC SAFETY
WARNING! Lead-based solder and rosin contain toxic material.
Repeated exposure to lead products can lead to severe, chronic
health problems. Rosin fumes can cause breathing issues or damage
the skin. Extra care should be taken to avoid inhalation and minimize
skin contact. Use lead free solder and rosin when possible and wear
protective personal equipment.

If you use this tool unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious
personal injury.
1. Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was designed for a specific function.
Do not modify or alter this tool or use it for an unintended purpose.
• Solder can spatter when heated. Make sure to wear eye protection.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or worn
components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3. Always keep fingers, hands, body and clothing away from heated components
of this tool.
4. The tool will remain hot for a few minutes after use.
5. Do not touch the soldering tip or place it on a combustible material until it has
time to cool. This tool generates considerable heat and can inflict a burn injury
and/or damage materials during use.
6. Never file the soldering tip.
POWER TOOL PRECAUTIONS
1. Do not use any power tool with a malfunctioning trigger, power switch or
control. A power tool that fails to respond to the controls is dangerous and can
cause an injury. A qualified technician must repair and verify the power tool is
operating correctly, before it can be used.
2. Shut the power off and disconnect the soldering gun from the power supply
(if possible) before making any adjustments, changing accessories, cleaning,
servicing or when storing. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the tool accidentally.
BATTERY SAFETY
WARNING! Do not use modified chargers or a charger that does not
specify the voltage, amperage or recharge rate. Improper charging
can lead to battery rupturing. Only charge a battery with a charger
designed for that purpose.
WARNING! Do not charge a damaged or frozen battery. The battery
may explode if charged and injure you or a bystander. Contact your
local municipality waste department for proper disposal procedures.
Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for your battery before use or maintenance.
1. Do not expose the battery to heat or throw it in a fire. The contents are
flammable and the battery may explode. Remove any source of ignition such
as an open flame or a tool like a heater from the area.
2. Do not inhale smoke issuing from a burning battery, as it is toxic.
3. Do not disassemble or crush the battery as the contents are corrosive and
flammable. Exposure may cause an injury. There is a risk of escaping

hazardous vapors. These vapors can irritate the respiratory track. Always
ensure proper ventilation and immediately consult a doctor, if you feel unwell.
4. Even a discharged battery may still carry a charge. To prevent a shock, place
battery terminal caps or covers over the terminal to prevent accidental contact.
5. Leaking battery fluid can cause irritation of the skin or burns. If contact should
occur, flush immediately with water. In case of accidental contact with the
eyes, seek medical aid.
6. Do not disconnect from the power source in place of using the ON/OFF switch
on the tool. This can lead to an accidental startup when the tool is connected
to the power supply.
7. Do not allow a rechargeable battery to fully discharge. This will damage the
battery. Recharge the battery as soon as possible.
8. Do not store the battery completely discharged. Charge it fully before storing.
Recharge occasionally if storing for a long time.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING! Do not touch or handle a live tool with any part of your
body that is wet or damp. Wet skin reduces resistance to electrical
current, increasing the danger of a serious or fatal shock.
1. Do not alter any parts of the tool or accessories. All parts and accessories are
designed with built-in safety features that may be compromised if altered.
2. Protect yourself against electric shocks when working on electrical equipment.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces. There is an increased chance of
electrical shock if your body is grounded.
3. Do not expose the soldering gun to rain, snow, frost or any other damp or wet
conditions. Water entering a tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
4. A polarized plug has two blades of different widths, allowing only one way to
insert the plug into the outlet. If the outlet does not accept a polarized plug,
contact a qualified electrician to install a polarized outlet. Do not alter the plug,
as this may compromise the built-in safety feature.
POWER ADAPTER
1. Only use the power adapter supplied with this tool. Other power adapters may
not match the tool’s power requirements and can damage it or cause a fire or
electrical hazard.
2. Connect the power adapter directly to the power supply whenever possible.
Use extension cords or surge protectors only when the adapter’s cord cannot
reach a power supply from the work area.
a. Ensure the adapter is fully seated in the outlet. Do not use an outlet that
is loose or cannot properly hold the adapter blades.
3. Do not operate this tool if the power adapter’s cord is frayed or damaged, as
an electric shock or surge may occur, resulting in a personal injury or property
damage.

a. Inspect the power adapter and its cord for cracks, fraying or other faults in
the insulation or casing before each use. Do not use if damage is found.
b. Discontinue use if the power adapter or cord feels more than comfortably
warm while operating the tool.
4. Prevent damage to the power adapter and cord by observing the following:
a. Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the adapter from an outlet. Grip and
pull the adapter itself from the outlet without bending the blades.
b. Keep power adapter and cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving
parts of a tool.
c. Never use the cord to carry the tool.
5. Disconnect the power adapter from the tool and store separately when not in
use.
6. Do not operate the power adapter if it has received a sharp blow, been
dropped or otherwise damaged in any way. Take the power adapter to a
qualified service technician for repair.
7. Do not use expose the power adapter to direct sunlight while in use. Place
in an area sheltered from the sun. This will prevent the power adapter from
overheating.
UNPACKING
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is missing. Replace
the missing part before operating. Failure to do so could result in a
malfunction and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and inspect for damage.

ASSEMBLY&INSTALLATION
INSTALLING SOLDERING HOLDER
1. Remove the spool retaining nut.
2. Place the solder spool onto the spool holder. The solder must come off the
bottom of the spool.
3. Screw the retaining nut back into place to keep the spool on the spindle.
Check that it is still loose enough for the spool to spin (Fig. 2).
4. Straighten or remove the bent solder from the end of the spool.
5. Attach the spool holder onto the soldering gun (Fig. 3).
6. Carefully feed the solder through the inlet guide tube, until it extends out of the
soldering feed tube (Fig. 4).
• You may need to turn the soldering gun on and squeeze the trigger to
allow the feed mechanism to load the solder.
7. Turn off the soldering gun until you are ready to solder.

OPERATIONS
BEFORE EACH USE
1. Clear the work area of combustible or flammable materials.
2. Make sure the work area is well ventilated, as there may be toxic or irritating
fumes.
3. Wet the soldering gun's sponge (sold separately).
4. File off any dirt, rust or paint on the part you wish to solder.
OPERATIONS
1. Flip the ON/OFF switch to ON. The status LED will turn red.
• After 5 minutes of inactivity, The ON/OFF switch LED indicator will flash
red and the soldering gun will enter sleep mode. The soldering gun will
shut off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
2. The soldering tip will reach a temperature of 430°C (°F) in approximately 120
to 240 seconds.
• The soldering tip will heat-up without depressing the trigger.
3. Clean the residue from the soldering tip once it is hot.
4. Heat the part by holding the soldering tip against it. Be careful not to melt any
plastic components.
5. Squeeze the trigger to feed the solder to the soldering
tip.
6. The work light LEDs will turn on to illuminate the
work.
7. Apply rosin-based solder to the part and melt it with
the soldering tip. When using non-rosin-based solder,
be sure to apply a soldering paste to the part before
applying the solder.
8. Flip the ON/OFF Switch to OFF to shut off the soldering gun.

b. The soldering gun will shut off automatically after 10 minutes. Flip the
ON/OFF switch to ON again to continue using the soldering gun.
9. Wait for the solder to cool and harden before moving the soldered part.
USING THE DESOLDERING PUMP
1. Press the plunger down until a click is heard. The plunger will remain in place.
2. Proceed to melt the solder on the workpiece. Keep the soldering tip against
the liquid solder.
3. Place the pump's nozzle against the solder at an angle that will prevent the
solder debris from falling out of the nozzle.
4. Press the plunger release button. This will create a vacuum and suck the
solder into the tool's chamber.
5. Remove the pump and the soldering gun from the workpiece and allow to
cool.
6. Remove the solder debris once the task is finished. Unscrews the nozzle cap
and tap the chamber against a disposal container. You may need to clean the
nozzle out as well. Consult your local by-laws for instructions on the disposal
of the solder.
CARE&MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to
control and will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or worn
components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3. Only use accessories intended for use with this tool. Follow instructions for
changing accessories.
4. Keep the tool handles or gripping surfaces clean and dry.
5. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry important information.
If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool.
An improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the user and/or
others.
RECHARGING THE SOLDERING GUN
The soldering gun has built-in protection from overcharging or overheating.
1. Check the indicator lights to determine if you need to recharge the battery.
2. Insert the adapter's coaxial connector into the coaxial port on the tool.
3. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
4. The LED on the adapter will glow when the battery is fully charged.

5. When the battery is charged, unplug the adapter from the wall outlet, then
unplug the coaxial connector from the tool.
BATTERY MAINTENANCE
The battery is integrated with the soldering gun and cannot be removed.
1. The longest life and best performance can be obtained if the battery is
charged when the air temperature is between 50 to 86°F (10 to 30°C). Do
not charge the battery when the temperature is below . This is important and
will prevent damage to the battery.
2. Charge the battery at rates recommended by the manufacturer.
• The charging current is 1A. It takes approximately 2 hours to completely
charge the soldering gun.
FIXING GUN FEED
The wire may bunch-up inside the feed
mechanism and cannot be easily pulled out.
The feed mechanism is a set of rollers that
propels the wire forward.
1. Push the side panel retaining clip
forward to free the panel. Remove and
set aside.
2. Check if the wire has wound around
an inner component or the feed
mechanism.
3. Clip the soldering wire if it is not easy to unwind.
4. Pull the soldering wire out of the inlet guide tube, remove the spool holder and
set aside.
5. Clip and unwind the solder to remove. Use the tweezers to reach difficult
places.
6. Pull any solder out of the feed tube.
7. Test the feed mechanism to make sure it works correctly.
8. Attach the spool holder and follow the steps for feeding the solder wire into
the mechanism. Slowly guide the wire through the feed mechanism while
watching to prevent it from bunching up.
9. Once the soldering wire is successfully fed through the mechanism and feed
tube feed tube, reinstall the side panel. Proceed with your task.
BATTERYSTORAGE
IMPORTANT! Remove the battery when not in use for an extended
period of time to prevent damage.
