Use and contraindications, notice
• The sound-p oof booth can be used only fo audiomet ic examinations o simila and not
fo othe medical pu poses with applied components (i.e. elect odes) to the patient. It is
necessa y having diffe ent specifications in this case.
• The booth must be used only by t ained pe sonnel.
• Man pe fo ming the test must always see the patient inside the booth.
• It is fo bidden to smoke and to light any flame inside the booth.
• The w ong booth installation o the position nea -by flammable mate ials disclaim all
manufactu e esponsibilities.
PUMA s l disclaims any esponsibility fo misuse, inco ect e-installation o imp ope use of the
booth.
Warnings
Connect the booth to an adequate elect ical implant and compliant with the no m CEI 64-8; the
plug must be inse ted in a 230V elect ical socket, p otected against ove load and sho t ci cuit
and with diffe ential switch.
The silent booth cannot be installed in places classified with "explosion haza d" (EN 60079-10-1
and EN 60079-10-2) and in ooms "used fo medical use" classified as g oup 2 (CEI 64-8
standa d / 710 a t. 710.2.7).
Installation is pe mitted in "o dina y" ooms and in "medical" ooms classified as g oup 1 (CEI
64-8 / 710 a t. 710.2.6); the powe supply must happen with an automatic switch with a
sensitivity diffe ential of 30 mA of "type AC", 230V.
Please note that the envi onmental elect ical system must comply with the law.

Connection panel for equipment
The new connecting panels allow:
•Di ect contact between the booth inte nal and exte nal equipment without fu the
inte uptions o type jack connections.
•Fast eplacement of equipment with diffe ent connections.
•The ability to add cables th ou gh.
Mounting
1) Remove the lid seals acting on
the two sc ews by otating with
Allen key which is p ovided. Do
the same action inside the booth.
2) Place the cables of all the
appliances th ough the cent al
hole.
3) Afte placing them, let them
fall and close both the lids
(exte nal and inte nal) p eviously
emoved. Now tighten the sc ews
with the Allen key.
4) Connect the selected equipment

Connection cables for universal connection panels (optional)

Maintenance and Cleaning
Routine maintenance
The soundp oof booth does not equi e any specific maintenance. The eplacement of the
b oken lighting device can be pe fo med by t ained pe sonnel. (elect ician).
Medical rooms maintenance and periodical check-ups
The maintenance of elect ical systems should be committed to qualified companies which
have the technical and p ofessional equi ements acco ding to the DM 37 of 22.01.2008,
a t 4.
You should check pe iodically the system, in details you should check the g ounding
system efficiency eve y second yea by measu ing its esistance value, with efe ence to
what is stated by the IEC 64-710, the medical oom systems should be egula ly checked
by a t ained technician. Fo this eason you should pe fo ms the following checks:

measu ement of insulation esistance acco ding to IEC 64-8/6, minimum eve y two
yea s
–
potential equalization at inte vals not exceeding th ee yea s
–
measu ement of the esistance of the supplementa y equipotential connection at
inte vals not exceeding th ee yea s
–
the ope ation of safety powe equipments acco ding to the manufactu e 's
inst uctions and in any case at inte vals not exceeding one yea
–
the efficiency of the g ounding system at inte vals not exceeding two yea s
–
the efficiency of the elect ical ope ation of esidual cu ent devices at inte vals not
exceeding one yea
The tests and thei esults should be eco ded in a signed and stamped egiste by the
technical pe fo me with the date of execution of the same.

Cleaning
The outside of the booth can be cleaned as any fu nitu e.
To clean the inte nal ca pet and the fab ic on the walls use specific p oducts comme cially
available.
Warning
−The use is the solely esponsible fo the use the of device and fo any consequences
de iving the e f om.
−Do not expose the device o its accesso ies to liquid o high humidity
−Do not expose the booth to ext eme tempe atu es.
−Avoid exposu e to di ect sunlight o heat sou ces. Ove heating of elect ical
components may cause fi e o equipment damages.
−The opening o unpacking of all components o any of thei accesso ies, ega dless of
the eason may cause damage not cove ed by wa anty.
−To avoid elect ical shock, do not ope ate on active o elect ified pa ts. Request the
assistance of qualified pe sonnel.
−The eplacement of powe fuses can be pe fo med only by t ained o expe t pe sonnel.
−In case of powe fuse eplacement, the ated cu ent of the device must not be
g eate than 6 ° g.
−Don’t block the ventilation fan when using the booth.
−To dispose used batte ies and elect ical and elect onic components, please obse ve
the local egulations and p omote ecycling whe e possible.
−Disposal inst uctions fo old p oducts: Di ective on elect ical and elect onic equipment
waste (WEEE Di ective) aims to ensu e that p oducts a e ecycled by using best
available techniques in t eatment, ecove y and ecycling to ensu e people health and
an intense envi onmental p otection. Do not dispose of such p oducts togethe with
you household waste. Info m you self about the local sepa ate collection of waste
ega ding elect ical and elect onic equipments ma ked by this symbol.

Replacement of the adjustable feet with the castors
NOTE the cabin is supplied as equested by the custome with adjustable feet o with
wheels. Howeve , it is possible to install the casto s at a late time by following the
p ocedu e below.
