-Locationswithpoor ventilationexposedtodustanddirt.

Donot wipewiththinners 
Wipethe panelsandcasefromtimetotimewithasoftcloth. 
Usinganykind ofthinner,alcoholorvolatileliquidwillmarthe 
surface,causeblotching onthe exterioranderase the markings 
andshouldthereforebe avoided.
Donot use insecticidespraysinthevicinity. 
 Thisunitdissipatesthe heat mosteffectivelywheninstalledon

Beforeconnectingthepowerplug 
Beforeconnecting thepowerplug toanelectricaloutlet,checkto 
besurethatthe unitissettothepowervoltage foryourarea.If 
the voltageoftheunit isimproperlyset,firehazardordamage to 
the unit mayresult.If youfindthat theunitisnot settotheproper 
voltage foryourareafollowtheinstructionslistedbelow.

Connecttheturntable’soutputcordL(white)plugtotheL

Ifyourturntableisequippedwithagroundingcable, connect itto 
theunit’sGNDterminal.Butdisconnectit ifyounotice increased 
hum. 
-Ifyouusethe turntablealongside the unit, humandnoise 
pickupmaysometimes.Insuchacase,installtheturntableata 
position wherehumand noisearenot pickedup. 
Compactdisc player 
ConnecttheCDterminalstotheOUTPUTterminalsonthe 
compactdiscplayer usingthepin-plugcord. 
Tuner 
ConnecttheTUNERterminalstotheOUTPUTterminalson the 
tunerusingthepin-plugcord. 
DVDTerminal 
ConnecttheDVD terminalstotheOUTPUTterminalsontheDVD

terminalson theselected componentandalsotoconnectthe 
PLAY terminalstoitsOUTPUTterminals. 
Speakersystems 
ConnectthespeakersystemstotheSPEAKERSterminalson the 
rear panelofthe unitwiththe speaker cords. Twosetsof speaker 
systemscan be connected,one tofront(Main)speakersand one 
torearspeakers(Surround)inordertoachievethesurround 
sound effect. 
When viewedfromthe front(thelisteningposition), the speaker 
mountedonthe leftshouldbeconnectedtotheLterminals,and 
thespeakermountedontherightshouldbeconnectedtotheR 
terminals.Besuretoconnectthepolaritiesofthespeaker 
systemsandtheSPEAKERterminalscorrectly(+to+,-to-).If 
thepolarityofoneofthe speakersystemsisconnected 
improperly,soundinthe centralareabetweenthespeakerswill 
appear tobemissing,and thepositionof the instrumentswillnot 
be clear,resultinginaloss ofstereo directionality;sotakecare 
whenconnecting. 
When connecting,donotallowtheconductorofthespeaker 
cordstobe exposedfromtheterminalsandcomeintocontact 
withotherterminals.
