● Do not look directly at strobe or shine at others. Light
pulses at a frequency greater than 5 Hz may cause
photosensitive epilepsy in some individuals if directly
viewed.

To
Avoid Injury, do not point the light beam of the
instrument or have it reflected into the eyes of people
or animals.

A
feature of the instrument is to make moving objects
appear to be stationary. Precaution should therefore
be taken to ensure that there is no physical contact
made with objects being viewed.
● Do not leave the device close to water or any other
liquid to avoid damage.
● If not using this instrument for extended periods of
time, remove the batteries to prevent potential battery
leakage which may damage the product.
● This instrument contains no user serviceable parts
and should not be opened by the user.
● Repair or service should be done by a qualified
technician only.
● Only use a dry cloth to clean the plastic case.

The Digital Stroboscope has a microprocessor circuit
design, high accuracy, digital readout, that is ideal for
inspecting and measuring the speed of moving gears,
fans, centrifuges, pumps, motors and other equipment
used in general industrial maintenance, production,
quality control, laboratories, and as well as for schools
and colleges for demonstrating strobe action.

alter between Coarse and Fine tuning, select the
Coarse / Fine Tuning button to change from Coarse to
Fine adjustment.
Press again to switch back to Coarse. When in Fine
adjustment mode, “ FINE ” icon will appear on the
display.

Power ON/OFF: Open the battery compartment cover
on the back of the unit and place the batteries in the
battery holder properly. Then press and hold the Power
Switch. The display will turn on and show the initial
factory default flash rate of 1200 RPM. Coarse tuning
is the default.

In COARSE adjust mode, press “ up ” or “ down ” button,
the value of flash will increase or decrease when the
range is greater than 1000 RPM or 10 RPM when less
than 1000 RPM correspondingly. In FINE adjust mode,
press “ UP ” or Down ” button, the PHOTO TACH will
increase or decrease 1 RPM when greater than 1000
RPM, or 0.1RPM when less than 1000 RPM
correspondingly.

Press “ UP ” or “ Down ” button for more than two
seconds to enter the Auto-adjust Mode. In COARSE
adjust mode, the value will increase or decrease when
the range is greater than 1000 RPM or 10 RPM when
less than 1000 RPM every 0.2 seconds. In FINE adjust
mode, the value will increase or decrease 1RPM
(>1000 RPM) or 0.1 RPM (<1000RPM) every 0.2
seconds
Note: Once the maximum of 19999 or minimum of 60
RPM is met while adjusting the rate, the device will
automatically stop at those thresholds.

The Stroboscope will also stop motion at 2:1, 3:1, 4:1,
5:1, etc. This is normally referred to as harmonics.
To
ensure unison, turn the dial until two images appear –
this will double the actual speed. Then lower the
flashing rate until a single and stationary image
appears - this is the actual true speed.

For motion analysis, simply locate the actual speed as
mentioned above and then turn the dial slowly up or
down. This will give a slow motion effect allowing
complete inspection.
