1. Product Description
The serial audio interface allows the Qbus®system to
communicate with the following Audio systems:
-Apart Zone 4
-Artsound 2.4, 5.4, 8.8
-Nuvo Essentia / Gran Concerto
-Niko Allegretto
The module can be connected to the bus in any location
and be linked to the audio system’s Serial Port. The
System Manager III software allows to program and
operate the installation.
WARNING:
-THE SER10 ONLY WORKS WITH THE QBUS
CTD01(E), CTD02(E), CTD03(E); NOT WITH
THE CTL RANGE OF CONTROLLERS (CTL16-
32-64-256).
-THE SER10 NEEDS SYSTEM MANAGER
VERSION 3.2.10 OR HIGHER, AND
FIRMWARE VERSION 2.49 OR HIGHER.
The SER10 interface enables the following:
-Interact with the audio system via switches or via a
TSC5.8
-Control up to 4 sources and up to 8 zones
-Change the source, the volume, mute on/off or turn
on/off the audio system.
Please check the System Manager User Manual or the
Audio Manual Support Document on our website on
how to program the audio functions in the Qbus system.
NEVER CONNECT OR DISCONNECT MODULES
WHILE THE BUS IS ENERGIZED!
2. Safety Instructions
Read the complete manual before carrying out the
installation and activating the system.
WARNING

The device must be mounted and commissioned by
an authorised electrician in accordance with the
country-specific regulations.
The device must not be opened.

3. Mounting and wiring

FITTING :
Mount the SER10 into a mounting box and secure with
the claw attachment. Connect the bus cable to the back
of the switch.
IMPORTANT :
THE BUS MUST NEVER COME INTO CONTACT
WITH THE EARTHING OR A LIVE WIRE!
PC CONNECTION :
Connect the SUB-D9 connector DB9 cable (2m
included) to the COM-port of the audio system.
LED INDICATION :
Green light : bus power
Red light : data transfer + error LED

Niko®: 100 (Cream) / 121 (Sterling) / 122 (Anthracite)
