Licensed Features
1. On the StorNext M330 GUI, go to Configuration > Licenses and review the licensed features.
The following licensed features are factory-installed on the system:
• StorNext File System: Enables the ability to create and modify StorNext-supported file systems.
• StorNext Failover (High Availability): Provides the ability to configure and operate a redundant
server that can quickly assume control of the StorNext file systems in the event of certain
software, hardware and network failures on the primary server.
• SAN Clients: Includes 10 customer StorNext SAN clients for any supported OS. Additional licenses
can be purchased separately.
• Maintenance: A maintenance license is factory-installed.
The following optional features can be purchased separately:
• Storage Manager: Allows StorNext M330 users to archive files to tape or disk.
• Distributed Data Mover (DDM): A Storage Manager option to offload data movement from the
StorNext M330 system.
• Storage Disk: A Storage Manager option allowing use of disk for secondary storage, rather than
tape.
• Vaulting: Allows exporting of managed media from a library, freeing library space.
• Advanced Integrity Module: A Storage Manager option to verify data retrieved from tape.
• Multi-mount: Enables StorNext File System SAN clients to mount file systems from multiple
StorNext Metadata Controllers (MDCs).
• Distributed LAN Clients: Allows connecting StorNext clients over LAN. LAN clients use a SAN
Client as a Distributed LAN Server.
• Replication: Batch replication protects data by copying it elsewhere in the data center or off site.
M330 replication is suitable for workloads of up to 75 MB/s.
Note: Deduplication is not supported on StorNext M330.
