Install Batteries
Your headset radio requires two AAA batteries (not supplied) for power.
1. Press on the left speaker and slide the battery compartment
cover up to remove it.
2. Place batteries in the compartment as indicated by the polarity
symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
3. Replace the cover.
Battery Notes:
• Replace the batteries when the sound becomes weak or distorted,
ashes, or the headset radio stops operating properly.
• Dispose of batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury
them.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, derent types of batteries (alkaline, or
rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of derent capacities.
• If you do not plan to use the headset radio for a long time, remove the batteries.
Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts.
Use your Headset Radio
1. Press PWR to turn on the headset radio.
2. Press BAND to select either the AM or the FM band.
3. Press TUNING or to select a station, or hold down TUNING or to
quickly navigate to a station.
4. Adjust the volume to a desired listening level.
Notes:
• A strong FM stereo signal automatically switches the headset radio from
monaural to stereo.
• E-BASS and VOLUME have no ect when an external audio source is connected.
Use the volume controls on the external audio source to adjust the sound.
Program Stations
You can store 10 AM and 10 FM stations in memory.
1. Select the desired band and station. Then press MEMORY.
2. While ashes, press M-SELECT repeatedly until the desired memory
station number appears.
3. Press MEMORY again to store the station.
To listen to a stored station, press M-SELECT until the desired memory station
number appears.
Listening Safety
Do not wear headphones, earphones, or earbuds while operating a motor vehicle or
riding a bicycle. This can create a trc hazard and could be illegal in some areas.
To protect your hearing, follow these guidelines:
Do not listen at high volume levels. Extended high-volume listening can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
Set the volume to the lowest setting. Then turn on your audio device and adjust
the volume to a comfortable level.
Avoid increasing the volume. Your ears will adapt to the volume level, so a level
that does not cause discomfort could still damage your hearing.
Care and Service
• Keep the headset radio dry; if it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
• Use and store the headset radio only in normal temperature environments.
• Handle the headset radio carefully; do not drop it.
• Keep the headset radio away from dust and dirt, and wipe it with a damp cloth
occasionally to keep it looking new.
• Modifying or tampering with the headset radio’s internal components can
cause a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty. If your receiver is not
performing as it should, take it to your local dealer for assistance.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class

Limited Warranty

“RadioShack”) warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship
under normal use by the original purchaser for one (1) year after the date of
purchase from a RadioShack-owned store or an authorized RadioShack franchisee
or dealer. RADIOSHACK MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES.
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to
abuse, misuse, failure to follow instructions, improper installation or maintenance,
alteration, accident, Acts of God (such as oods or lightning), or excess voltage
or current; (b) improper or incorrectly performed repairs by persons who are not a
RadioShack-authorized service facility; (c) consumables such as fuses or batteries;
(d) ordinary wear and tear or cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping or
insurance costs; (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-up service, adjustment
or reinstallation; and (g) claims by persons other than the original purchaser.
Should a problem occur that is covered by this warranty, take the product and the
RadioShack sales receipt as proof of purchase date to any RadioShack store in
the U.S. RadioShack will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law (a) replace
the product with the same product, or (b) replace the product with a comparable
product (as determined by RadioShack). All replaced products become the property
of RadioShack.
RADIOSHACK EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS NOT
STATED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE
IMPOSED BY LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY
AND, IF APPLICABLE, THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR

LIMITED TO, ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM INCONVENIENCE AND ANY LOSS
OF TIME, DATA, PROPERTY, REVENUE, OR PROFIT AND ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL,
INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF RADIOSHACK HAS BEEN
ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
