Contoller capacity :
1 Master Valve equipped with a Rain BirdTBOS latching solenoid for the system plus
1 Rain Bird TBOS latching solenoid per station. Make sure all wire from the controller to the
valves is code-approved for underground low voltage use.
Select the suitable wire size. All connections to the valve leads and any splice in the field must be
watertight. Use Rain Bird Quick Connect connectors : DBY, DBR or "King".
See wiring diagram.

Master Valve:
The terminal marked "P" is used to
activate a Master Valve. It is STRONGLY
RECOMMENDED to use a Master Valve
to ensure proper operation of your
system in case, for example, the valve
wiring is accidentally cut, grit in the
piping flows into a valve, etc.

Start-up / Programming:
Connect 2 top-grade 9V alkaline
batteries (6AM6/6LR61)
Duracell, Varta or equivalent.
As soon as the batteries are
installed, this screen appears.
Carefully replace the panel without
touching the ➔key.

5Set water days
Carefully read all of the following section before you continue to program.
You have a choice of a 7-day cycle with a different water day calendar for
program A and B (5.1), or watering on every even day, (both A and B) (5.2)
or watering on every odd day (both A and B with or without watering on the
31st) (5.3) or (5.4) or a custom cycle with a different water day calendar for
A and B (5.5). Decide which calendar (cycle) you want and follow the
corresponding instructions.

Set days of the week to water for each program (7 day cycle)
Press ➔and "CYC"disappears.
Select the desired program by pressing the A/B key. Use the key to move
the cursor through the days of the week (1 to 7, 1 = Monday). The +/On and
-/Off keys are used to set or cancel water days. The -/Off key cancels water
days and the square disappears.
To set a water day, place the cursor on the corresponding day number and
press +/On. If you wish, repeat the above procedure for the other program after
pressing the A/B key.
In this example, Monday, Thursday and Friday are watering days in program A

Set time of day to start watering
You can start a watering cycle up to 8 times per day if you prefer several short
waterings. At each start time, all the stations in the same program will operate
in sequential order for the length of time you program in Step 7. Now set the
start times. (time in hours and minutes) Select the desired program with the
A/B key. Use the +/On and -/Off keys to set the first start time.

Then press the key to move to the next start time. Repeat above procedure.
Press the ➔ key to validate and move to next function.
NOTE : It is not necessary to use all 8 start times !
The 9V will automatically file your start times in chronological order from 00:00 to 23:59.
To cancel a start time : press the key to display the start times. When you see the start
time you want to cancel, hold down the key for at least 2 seconds.

Set the length of watering time per station
Each station must be assigned to a program. Assign the stations to
program A or B using the A/B key. Press the key to move to the next
station.
Use the +/On and -/Off keys to set the station watering time from 1 minute to
4 hours in 1-minute increments. The station watering time appears in hours
and minutes.
Note : If programs overlap with a 2nd watering set to start before the 1st has
finished, the controller will "stack" the 2nd start and delay it until the previous
cycle is completed.

You have now completed all programming for automatic irrigation. In the
future, this screen will appear the first time you press ➔when the screen is
blank.

Set Rain Delay
You can delay watering from 1 to 9 days during rainy weather. Press ON or
OFF to make the setting. The icon and icon appear in all screens.
Each day the 9V counts down the number of days remaining before automatic
irrigation programs will resume normal watering schedules. Restart is
automatic.
Note : to cancel a Rain Delay, access the screen and reset the number of days
to 0. Remember that it is impossible to manually start irrigation during a Rain
Delay.
