RECON 45 Saddle Bags Mounting Instructions
Step 1: As on other saddle bags, adjust the two main velcro straps on top so bags fit
correctly on your bike.
Step 2: Connect rear straps from one side to the other.
Step 3: Find female clip under protective cover on opposite bag.
Step 4: Adjust strap tightly.
Step 5: Repeat process for other bag.
Step 6: Roll up excess strap length and wrap with a rubber band. Take extreme care not
to allow any straps to interfere with the rear wheel.
Step 7: Repeat the same operations for the front of the bag on both sides.
Step 8: Adjust front straps tightly.
Step 9: Run strap through a good mounting point on the chassis and back to the female
clip under the protective cover.
Step 10: Adjust tightly.
Step 11: I always suggest clipping the rear buckles over the double zipper strap so they
do not flap or have the chance to get caught on something.
Step 12: No matter what, never run any straps under the black fender. Check to see if
bags are secure and on straight. Do not load one bag more than the other. Cargo should
be evenly distributed to both bags.
