carefullyreadbeforeusingitsinceitgivesimportantindicationswithregards
toitssafeinstallation,useandmaintenance.Keepitwith care.
Beforeusingpneumaticscissors FP503MT,readcarefullythefollowinggeneral
safetyrules.
•PACKAGING.
Aftertakingoffthepackagingmakesurethatthemachineisintact.Incase
ofdoubtdonot useitandcontactan authorizedservicecentre.Donotleave
piecesofpackaging(plasticbags,foampolystyrene,boxes,etc.)withinthe
reachof childrenordisabledpersonssincetheyarepotentialsourcesofdanger.

Blademaintenancemust beonlyperformedbyRasor®technicians.

2. TRANSPORTAND PACKING
Thepneumaticscissorsaredeliveredinacardboardbox,insidewhichtherearevarious
options.Thecodeof theorderedproductandits serialnumberareindicatedoutsidethe
package(see picture1).Thefollowingaccessoriesarecontainedinabaginsidethepackage
(see picture2):
1) Heptagonalblade(7sides);
2) Hexagonalwrenchforgrindingwheelnuttightening;
3) Greasetube;
4) Butterflykeyforbladenutdisassembly;
5) Driftforbladedisassembly.
3.PLATE DATA
Themanufacturer'sidentificationand2006/42/ECSTANDARDconformityplate(see picture
below) islocatedonthefrontpartof thepneumaticscissors.
The platemustnotbe removedatall,evenifthe machine isresold.Alwaysreferto
theserialnumber(writtenontheplateitself)whencontactingthemanufacturer.
Severalsafetywarningsareprintedonacardwhich isappliedto thescissors;suchwarnings
must bestrictlyfollowedbyeveryonedealingwith themachine. Thecompanyisnottobe
heldresponsiblefordamagetoproperty oraccidentstopeoplewhich might occur
iftheabove-mentionedwarnings arenotobserved. Insuch acase, theoperatoris
theonlypersonresponsible.

4. PRODUCTDESCRIPTION
Thefixturedescribedin thismanualis apneumaticscissormodelFP503MTwhich isusedin
orderto quicklycutcompositematerials,in particularthecarbon fibre.It isextremelyversa-
tile,lightandpreciseinthecuttingoperation.Thanksto theuseof asupportingfrontfoot
andof aneffectivecuttingsystem withheptagonal,circularordecagonalblade,itispossible
to usethepneumaticscissorsfortheprecisemoldtrimming.
Onespecialfeatureof pneumaticscissorsFP503MTistheirabilityto sharpenthebladein
eachmomentwithoutdisassemblingitbymeans of agrindingwheelmountedonthescissors
head.Aftercarryingoutthisoperation,itispossibleto startcuttingagain.Thepneumatic
scissorsareprovidedwithathreadedconnectionformanyairpipeline.Theturbine,perfectly
balanced,withahighnumberof revolutions andtotallyfree of maintenance,reducesthe
vibrations andthenoiseto theminimum.
Thepneumaticscissorscanbeusedalsooutdoorandto cutdamporwetmaterialsand
thereforeparticularlyrecommendedintannery,dyeworksandforthecarbonfibrecut.
ThepneumaticscissorsFP503MTareextremelylight(theyweightonly790g) andhandyand
allowcarryingoutquick andprecisecuts,evenwithcurveprofiles.Theuseof compressed
airassourceof energyallowsworkingcontinuouslywithoutproblemsof heatingormotor
overload.Themechanicalparts aremadeupof steelandhighresistantbronzeandrequire
alubricationaftermanyworkinghours.

(A).Noisetests havebeencarriedoutincompliancewithStandardUNIENISO3744:2010.
Thedevicenoiselevels,measuredatdifferentdistances(withoutanysoundwavefiltering
system),varyintheextentof fewdb (A).Thenoiselevelhasbeendetectedwith thesilencer
suppliedwiththefixtureassembledontheexhaust.Thesilencermust neverberemoved.
NOTE
It isadvisableforpneumaticscissorsFP503MTownersto verifythecompliancewiththe
standardconcerningsafetyof workers:referto theLocalLaw.Theuseof earprotecting
devicesiscompulsory.
Pneumaticscissors FP503MThavebeen designed,manufacturedandassembledto cutevery
kindof ordinaryortechnicalfabrics,withtheexceptionof metal,plasticorwood,bymeans
of rotarycircular,decagonalorheptagonalblades.
Thisequipmentmust not work:
-inareasproneto explosions;
-inpresenceof finedustorcorrosivegases;
-to cutplastic,metalandwoodenmaterials.
Itisforbiddentousepneumatic scissorsFP503MTfor purposesdifferentfromthe
above-mentionedones.

8.USE WARNINGS
We recommendfollowingtheindications belowinorderto alwaysworkinsafetyconditions.
·All theoperations must becarriedoutcomplyingstrictlywiththesafetyrulesof the
countrywherethemachineisto beinstalled.
·ItisSTRICTLYFORBIDDENto smokeduringtheinstallationoradjustmentoperations of
thepneumaticscissors.
·TheCustomerundertakesto complywithandmakehisstaffobservealltherulesand
regulationsinforceconcerningsafety,preventionof accidentsandhealthinthework
place.Therefore,theCustomerassumestheresponsibilitytostrictlyfollowalltherulesand
regulations inforce,as wellasthespecialprovisionsinforceinsportandpublicinstallations
theCustomerdeclaresto knowafterreceivingall therelevantnecessaryinformation.
·Thepneumaticscissorsworkevenwithouttheir safetyprotectivedevice. Thisprotective
devicemustNEVERbe removed.
·Alwayschecktheresistanceof thematerialto becutandthekindofbladewhichisbeing
used.
·TheCustomershallequiphisownpersonnelwithalltheindividualsafetyprotectionsfor
theexecutionoftheworks,aswellaswiththeoneswhichmightbeprescribedbythe
Manufacturerduetospecificdangerconditionsoftheplantoroftheareawherethe
personnelmust work.
·Onlyoneoperatormustusethepneumaticscissorsalwaysstandingbehindtheguide
handle.Donot makeanyadjustmentwhilethebladeisworking.
·Alwayspayattentionto thepositionof theairpipeto preventitfrombeingcutor
damagedbytheblade.
·ItisallowedtoassemblepneumaticscissorsFP503MTonmachinesO.E.M.oncondition
thattheiroriginalstructureisnotmodified.Otherwise,theinterventionmust becertifiedby
Rasor®.
·ThepneumaticscissorsFP503MTareequippedwith doublesafetypush button withalever
andaratchetonthehandle:theratchetprevents thestartpush buttonfrombeing
enabledaccidentally,theleveroperatesthescissors.Neverremovetheratchet.

10. USE
LThecuttingbladecanworkevenwhentheprotectivedeviceisdisassembled.
Tousethepneumaticscissorsmanually,proceedasfollows:
1) Laythematerialtobecutonthetable;
2) Connecttheairhosetothequickconnection“A”(notsupplied)(see picture3);
3) Setthepressuregauge(option)to6bar;
4) Putthematerialonthecuttingfoot(see picture4);
5) Pushthestartingleveraftermovingthesafetydevice(see picture5);
6) Pushthepneumaticscissorsinthedesireddirection, beingcarefultokeepthematerial
infrontofthemasstretchedaspossibleandpreventingitfromcurlinginthefront
partofthescissors.
NOTE
Thethruston thepneumaticscissors must beas uniform as possible.Tocarryoutlinearcuts
withprecision(andtofollowpredeterminedpaths),wealsorecommendusingthearrow
point(see point“B” inpicture6).
Eventhoughthepneumaticscissorsaresafe,operatorsmust payattentionto preserve
theirandotherpeople’ssafety.

Thepneumaticscissorsmust benecessarilyfedwith
lubricatedairwithapressureof 4-6bar.
Rasor®offers,asoption,areduction unitfilterwith a
pressuregaugealreadycalibratedwiththequantity
ofoil to bedelivered.
Theunitshowninpicture7ismadeupof:
1-pressurereducer;
2-valveto drainthecondensate;
3-drip-feedoilerunit;
4-oil tank;
5-pressuregauge;
6-condensatetank;
7-pipefittingtoconnectthequickconnectionto
thenetwork;
8-pipefittingto connectthequick connectionto thescissor.
Fortheuseandmaintenancereadtheinstructionsheetsuppliedwiththefilter.
12.SHARPENERADJUSTMENT
Afterusingthemachineforsomehourswithout
interruption,orifthemachinecuttingcapacityisreduced,
itis necessaryto sharpen theblade.
Tocarryoutthisoperation,startthebladeandpress
sharpener“2”onthebladeitself(bymeansofpushbutton
“1”,asshowninpicture8)for3-4seconds.Repeatthis
operation2-3times.
Thesharpenercan slidealongits seat(see picture9)in
orderto varythesharpeningangle.Iftheblade,after
varioussharpeningoperations,hasachamfer(sharp
perimeter)withanexcessivelength(higherthan1.5mm),
itisnecessaryto slightlymovethesharpenerawayfrom
theblade.Inorderto dothis,itissufficientto slightly
loosenthescrewswithoutremovingthem,makingthe
sharpenerslidetowarddirection“A”,andthentighten
thetwoscrewsagain.
