What is in your SOVT
Vocal Straw Package?
*Avoid using a wire brush which might
damage the straw’s protective layers.
•2-Piece Container (screws together)
•SOVT Telescopic Straw (collapsed)
•3mm Aperture Reducer Attachment
•Telescopic Cleaner (inside straw)
You will find
the ARA on
the end of
the straw. It
detaches by
unscrewing.
For safe keeping, we recommend storing the
ARA in the container when not in use.

Get Ready to Use Your
SOVT Vocal Straw
FIRST UNPACKING
•Unscrew the lid of the blue container
and take out your straw
•The telescopic cleaner will be hidden
fully inside the straw
•FIRST THINGS FIRST –it’s important
to safely remove the cleaner!!
ØUnscrew the aperture
ØPush the little white tip of the
brush fully inside the straw
ØGrasp the handle of the cleaner
at the other end of the straw
ØCarefully pull the cleaner out
For safe keeping, we recommend storing the
cleaner in the container when not in use.
Taking Care of Your
SOVT Vocal Straw
Looking after your SOVT Straw is
relatively simple. It’s made of food grade
304 stainless steel.To extend the life of
your straw and keep it working the way it
has been designed, we recommend that
you clean your straw after every use.
•For aQUICK CLEAN,wipe the outside
with acloth and use the cleaner to
gently brush the inside surface
•For aFULL CLEAN,immerse in warm,
soapy water while you brush* inside
the straw with the cleaner.Fully
collapse and extend the telescopic
straw several times while you clean.
•Allow the straw time to AIR DRY
before putting back in the container.

How Do I Use My
SOVT Vocal Straw?
Your SOVT Vocal Straw is atool which can be
incorporated into voice therapy, vocal coaching
or singing lessons.It can also be successfully
adopted by individuals who are ready to teach
themselves to use the straw.This can be done by
accessing online resources such as the free SOVT
training videos available on the RAYVOX and
AASPEECH Websites and YouTube Channels.
If you purchased your straw at the
recommendation of aspeech pathologist, vocal
coach or singing teacher, we suggest taking your
straw along to your next session to receive
support and guidance on the best starting point
for your unique voice and vocal situation.
