UNDERSTANDING CONTROL POD MODES
The control pod features two (2) modes that allow you to customize its functions or control your
compatible Razer speaker systems and peripherals seamlessly:
▪Command mode. Made entirely for configuration; use Command mode to connect the control
pod to:
oYour PC for the Razer Synapse app to control and customize the control pod's functions
for your compatible Razer devices.
OR
othe Razer Audio app (mobile) to link the control pod to up to three (3) Razer speaker
systems and customize media controls for each device.
▪Audio mode. Made for control; use Audio mode to directly control your Razer speaker
system(s) linked to the control pod.
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
On initial setup, the control pod will enter Command mode (pairing) upon inserting the batteries.
1. Rotate the bottom cover to detach and insert the AAA batteries as indicated in the battery
compartment.
Caution: The included AAA batteries are non-rechargeable. Dispose of batteries in
accordance with your local environmental laws. For your safety, use only lithium or alkaline
batteries.

2. Reattach and rotate the bottom cover to lock it in place.
CONNECTING THE CONTROL POD TO YOUR PC
1. On initial setup, the control pod will enter Command mode (pairing) upon inserting the
batteries, and the status indicator will blink in magenta to indicate this mode.
When left unpaired for 90 seconds, the control pod will deactivate Command mode
(pairing) and sleep. Simply press any button to wake the control pod and reactivate
Command mode (pairing).

2. On your PC, activate Bluetooth and select "Razer Wireless Control Pod" from the available
devices.
3. Wait for the status indicator in the control pod to turn solid magenta, indicating that it's now
connected to your PC.
Instructions are for first-time pairing only. Remember to keep the control pod within 1
meter of your PC when connecting to the control pod. Once connected, the control pod will
automatically reconnect to your PC whenever you switch to Command mode.
4. Update Razer Synapse to its latest version or download its installer from razer.com/synapse to
begin customizing the control pod for your Razer devices.

PERSONALIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE
Razer Synapse (PC)
Remap the control pod's functions to manage compatible Razer speaker systems and peripherals or
activate PC commands and macros with a turn of a dial or button press, and experience seamless
connectivity from one convenient device.
Make sure that the control pod is connected to your PC via Bluetooth. Install Razer Synapse when
prompted, or download the installer from razer com/synapse
Razer Audio app (Mobile devices)
Link the control pod to up to 3 compatible Razer speaker systems and remap its functions for each
linked speaker system from your mobile device.
Only available on iOS 14 / Android 10 (or higher) devices with Bluetooth connectivity.

SETTING UP FOR AUDIO MODE (FOR SPEAKERS)
Razer speaker system-to-control pod linking can only be done via the Razer Audio app.
1. If you've previously paired the control pod with any device, disconnect it from your device's
Bluetooth settings.
2. Make sure the control pod is in Command mode (pairing). The status indicator should be in
blinking magenta.
If the control pod is currently paired with a device, you need to reactivate Command
mode (pairing) to connect the control pod to a new device. Learn how to reactivate

3. Download and launch the Razer Audio app, and follow the on-screen instructions to link the
control pod with your speaker(s).

4. Once linked, you can begin customizing the control pod's functions for each Razer Speaker.
Learn more about default speaker controls
Up to three (3) Razer speaker systems can be linked with the control pod. Remember to
keep the control pod within 1 meter of your speaker system when linking the control pod.
Once linked, the control pod automatically links to the selected speaker system(s) on the
Razer Audio app whenever you switch to Audio mode.
5. IMPORTANT: Switch the control pod to Audio mode to begin controlling linked speaker(s)
using the control pod. You can do this by doing any of the following:
By tapping on the USE IT NOW button
on the Razer Audio app
By triple-pressing the Source button on
the control pod
The status indicator will blink alternately in blue and white to indicate that it's linking with the
speaker(s). Once linked, it will briefly show solid white before displaying the active speaker's
current input source (PC or Bluetooth mode).
Upon switching to Audio mode, the control pod’s functions will immediately switch to

6. USING THE CONTROL POD
TOGGLING BETWEEN COMMAND AND AUDIO MODES
Toggle to Command mode to customize the control pod's functions via the Razer Synapse app (PC) or
the Razer Audio app (mobile), or Audio mode to control linked Razer speaker system(s).
The control pod will automatically reconnect to a paired device or link to a speaker system (if
present) when toggling into any mode. When the control pod is unable to link to any speaker
system within 60 seconds, it will switch to Command mode (pairing). Default control pod
functions will change as you switch between Audio and command modes. Learn more about

REACTIVATING COMMAND MODE (PAIRING) FOR NEW DEVICES
Before proceeding, disconnect the control pod from your other device's Bluetooth settings and
remove it from its Known devices (if applicable).
1. If you've previously paired the control pod with any device, disconnect it from your device's
Bluetooth settings.

2. While in Command mode, press and hold the Source button to reactivate Command mode
(pairing).
Alternatively, you can also reactivate Command mode (pairing) by triple pressing the
Bluetooth pairing button at the bottom of the control pod while in Command mode
(paired).
3. Connect to the control pod as needed:
For PC
Activate Bluetooth on your device and
select "Razer Wireless Control Pod"
from the list of devices found.
For mobile devices
Launch the Razer Audio app and follow
the on-screen instructions to link the
control pod with your speaker(s) and/or
customize it for them.

4. Wait until the control pod is connected to your PC or the Razer Audio app. The status indicator
on the control pod will turn solid magenta to indicate that it's connected to your PC or the
Razer Audio app.

INDICATOR GUIDE
Check the status indicator to see the control pod's mode and state.
Command mode
Under Command mode, the status indicator's color will be magenta as you pair it with a PC or mobile
device.
Audio mode
Under Audio mode, the status indicator will display the linking / linked status of the control pod and a
linked speaker's current input source.

These controls are only available when the control pod is connected to a PC. You can remap other

7. CONFIGURING YOUR RAZER WIRELESS CONTROL POD VIA RAZER SYNAPSE
An internet connection is required for installation, updates, and cloud-based features. Registering
for a Razer ID account is recommended but optional. All listed features are subject to change
based on the current software version, the connected device(s), and supported apps and
software.
SYNAPSE TAB
The Synapse tab is your default tab when you first launch Razer Synapse. This tab allows you to
navigate the Dashboard subtab.
Dashboard
The Dashboard subtab is an overview of your Razer Synapse, where you can access all your Razer
devices, modules, and online services.
The Razer Wireless Control Pod must be in Command mode and connected to your PC to see it on
Razer Synapse.

Modules
The Modules subtab displays all installed and available modules for installation.
Global Shortcuts
Bind operations or Razer Synapse functions to custom key combinations from any Razer Synapse-
enabled device inputs, which apply across all device profiles. Learn more about Profiles
Only Razer Synapse-enabled device inputs will be recognized.
