SECTION 6. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning Your Scooter
▪Ensure your scooter is OFF and unplugged before cleaning.
▪Scrub with a damp cloth and non-aggressive detergent. Do not use chemicals or other
corrosive substances.
▪Do not use excessive amounts of water when cleaning and never submerge your scooter in
water as moisture and dirt may cause permanent damage to electronic components.
▪If stains appear, rub scooter body with a soft cloth and small amount of water. Rub more
persistent stains with a soft cloth dampened with toothpaste and then wipe clean with a
damp cloth.
Note: Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene or other corrosive, volatile chemical solvents to
clean your scooter as doing so will seriously damage its appearance and internal structure.
Never use a high-pressure water gun to spray and wash your scooter. To prevent against
electric shock or product failure, always ensure your scooter is OFF, the charging cable has been
unplugged and the charging port’s rubber cover is tightened before cleaning.
▪When not in use, store your scooter indoors in a cool, dry, shaded location. Avoid storing it
outdoors for long periods of time. Sunlight exposure/overheating/cold outdoor
environments will impact your scooter’s appearance, accelerate tire aging and reduce
battery pack life.
Battery Maintenance
▪Do not store the battery in temperatures higher than 122 degrees Fahrenheit or below -4
degrees Fahrenheit. Do not store the battery in a car during summer months or expose the
battery pack to fire as doing so may cause battery failure, overheating and fire. See the
battery pack nameplate located under scooter body for other battery maintenance
precautions.
▪Avoid recharging the battery before it is completely exhausted. This will greatly extend
battery life.
▪The battery pack can achieve higher cruising range and performance when your scooter is
used at temperatures between 68 degrees Fahrenheit and 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
Alternatively, if battery life and performance will decrease when your scooter is used in an
environment below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. As temperature rise, the battery's cruising range
will recover.
Note: The scooter will exhaust its stored power after about 60 to 90 days of non-use if the
battery is fully charged. Stored power will run out after about 20 to 40 days of non-use if the
scooter is not fully charged. Power exhaustion may cause the battery to be over-discharged and
damaged. This damage is unrecoverable and is not covered by warranty.

12
Note: Never attempt to disassemble the battery pack yourself as serious safety accidents may
result.
Charging Your Scooter
▪Only charge the lithium battery in temperatures ranging from 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 114
degrees Fahrenheit.
▪Turn the scooter OFF before charging.
▪Charge for 6-8 hours at a time. A red light will illuminate during charging. The light will turn
green when the battery is full, and the charger should be unplugged within two hours of
achieving a full charge. Do not continue to charge the battery once full.
▪Always use a constant current or constant voltage lithium battery charge controller and a
local charger with AC input voltage (100 ~ 250v).
▪Ensure the charger is connected to the battery before plugging into an electrical outlet.
▪Do not place the charger or board in wet conditions or near water or other liquids.
▪Allow at least 8 inches of clearance on all sides of the charger when in use. Never place the
charger on or near combustible material or on sofas, beds or carpet. Do not cover the
charger and ensure it is properly ventilated.
▪Do not place heavy objects on the charger.
▪Carefully position the charger to ensure it does not become a hazard. Keep out of reach of
children.
Battery Storage Recommendations
▪Store the battery in temperatures ranging from 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 114 degrees
Fahrenheit, in low humidity and away from corrosive gases.
▪During long periods of storage (more than three months), store lithium battery in
temperatures ranging from 14 degrees Fahrenheit to 68 degrees Fahrenheit, in low
humidity and away from corrosive gases.
