1. Descriptive Information
1.1 Purpose of the device (Indications for Use)
Novæmulti-care system utilizes advanced technology in LED (light-Emitting Diode) to improve skin
condition.
It is a safe and effective Device using exchangeable modules for the treatment of skin rejuvenation, acne
reduction, wound healing and pain management.
Novæmulti-care comes in a handy, rechargeable battery-operated device and proposes 6
interchangeable LED modules each corresponding to a specific treatment protocol.
The device should be used at about 3 cm from the area to be treated.
We recommend using everyday for a period of 28 days for effective results.
Please review the user manual for detailed information regarding each module treatment.

1.2 Detailed description of the device
The product is composed of a handy battery operated device and of interchangeable LED modules; it is
originally provided with one red module. The battery can be loaded through a USB cable or through an
AC/DC adaptor. See picture below

1.3 When the device should not be used (i.e., contraindications):
Seizures, Blackouts, and Eyestrain A small percentage of people may be susceptible to blackouts or
seizures (even if they have never had one before) when exposed to flashing lights or light patterns. If you
have experienced seizures or blackouts or have a family history of such occurrences, you should consult
a physician before using your novæmulti-care. Discontinue use of novæ multi-care and consult a
physician if you experience headaches, blackouts, seizures, convulsion, eye or muscle twitching, loss of
awareness, involuntary movement, or disorientation. To reduce risk of headaches, blackouts, seizures,
and eyestrain, avoid prolonged use, hold novæ multi-care some distance from your eyes, use novæ
multi-care in a room, and take frequent breaks.
Potentially Explosive Atmospheres Turn off novæ multi-care (press and hold theon/off button) when in
any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere. Do not charge novæ multi-care, and obey all signs and
instructions. Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or fire, resulting in serious injury or even
death. Areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere are often, but not always, marked clearly. Potential
areas may include: fueling areas (such as gas stations); below deck on boats; fuel or chemical transfer or
storage facilities; vehicles using liquefied petroleum gas (such as propane or butane); areas where the
air contains chemicals or particles (such as grain, dust, or metal powders); and any other area where you
would normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine.
1.4 Risks and benefits
Novæ Multi-Care, when used as described in this manual, has been shown to reduce the appearance of
Wrinkles and fine lines on the face.
Risks: See contra-indications above. Novæ Multi-Care does not generate UV rays, not detectable heat,
nor infra-red rays, ultra-sounds or other electromagnetic emissions. As a consequence, the risks of
burns or electric hazard are not expected during use.

When charging the battery, however, strictly follow the instructions below:
Do not connect or disconnect the novæ multi-care USB Power Adapter with wet hands.
The novæ multi-care USB Power Adapter may become warm during normal use. Always allow adequate
ventilation around the novæ multi-care USB Power Adapter and use care when handling. Unplug the
novæ multi-care USB Power Adapter if any of the following conditions exist:
The power cord or plug has become frayed or damaged.
The adapter is exposed to rain, liquid, or excessive moisture.
The adapter case has become damaged.
You suspect the adapter needs service or repair.
You want to clean the adapter

1.5 Expectations of the device
Skin Rejuvenation and Repair treatment: novæ's red module uses effective wavelengths of light to
trigger repair mechanisms, stimulates fibroblasts cells and cell growth, and speeds up the healing
process. It is indicated for the improvement of sensitive (aging) skin, and the prevention or reduction of
the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
1.6 The procedure associated with the use of the device
The device battery is partly charged when you receive it. You will need to charge the battery when the
indicator red light on the base of the device flashes.
Once fully charged, the device is ready to use for about 40 treatments of 180 seconds each (new battery).
How to insert and remove a LED module
ŸSlide open the Device's sliding cover to reveal the module's compartment
ŸRemove the transparent protection sleeve of the module.
ŸTake the module on its ears and gently introduce connectors first, the module will automatically slide
inside the device's compartment.
The product is ready to use.
To remove the module, take it on its ears and gently pull upward.
How to start: press the button on top of the device. Pulsating red light will start to be emitted from the
module's LEDs
How to stop: The red module will stop emitting automatically after 3 minutes. Should you want to
interrupt treatment before, press the button on top of the device.

1.7 General warnings and precautions
Important Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire, electric shock, or other injury or
damage.
Handling novæ multi-care : Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred,
microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign objects into novæ multi-care.
Carrying and Handling novæ multi-care : Do not bend, drop, or crush novæ multi-care. If your novæ
multi-care's back case has a high-gloss finish, handle with care to maintain its appearance. If you are
concerned about scratching or abrasion, you can use one of the many cases sold separately.
Using Connectors and Ports : Never force a connector into a port. Check for obstructions on the port. If
the connector and port don't join with reasonable ease, they probably don't match. Make sure that the
connector matches the port and that you have positioned the connector correctly in relation to the port.
Avoiding Water and Wet Locations : Do not use novæ multi-care in rain, or near washbasins or other
wet locations. Take care not to spill any food or liquid on novæ multi-care. In case novæ multi-care gets
wet, unplug all cables, turn off novæ multi-care before cleaning, and allow it to dry thoroughly before
turning it on again.
Do not attempt to dry novæ multi-care with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair
dryer. Anovæ multi-care that has been damaged as a result of exposure to liquids is not serviceable.
Repairing or Modifying novæ multi-care : Never attempt to repair or modify novæ multi-careyourself.
Disassembling novæ multi-care may cause damage that is not covered under the warranty. novæ multi-
care does not contain any user-serviceable parts.
Service should only be provided by a novæauthorized retailer. If novæ multi-care has been submerged in
water, punctured, or subjected to a severe fall, do not use it until you take it to a novæIauthorized retailer.
Battery Replacement : The rechargeable battery in novæ multi-care should be replaced only by Recife
Concept Ltd or a Recife Concept Ltd authorized retailer.
Charging novæ multi-care : To charge novæ multi-care, only use the novæ multi-care Dock Connector
toUSB Cable with a USB Power Adapter, or the USB port of a computer, or a third-party accessory
certified to use novæ multi-care.
Read all safety instructions for any products and accessories before using withnovæ multi-care. Recife
Concept Ltd is not responsible for the operation of third-party accessories or their compliance with safety
and regulatory standards.
When you use the novæ multi-care USB Power Adapter to charge the device, make sure that the power
adapter is fully assembled before you plug it into a power outlet. Then insert the novæ multi-care USB
Power Adapter firmly into the power outlet.
Do not connect or disconnect the novæ multi-care USB Power Adapter with wet hands.
The novæ multi-care USB Power Adapter may become warm during normal use. Always allow adequate

1.8 Importance of the need to adhere to a care regimen
No specific care regimen is needed with Novæ Multi Care. Use of facial creams and make-up should
take place after the use of Novæ Multi Care.

Check that the device is not linked to AC/DC outlet. Check that the red light on the base of the device is
not flashing.
2.3 Operating instructions
Place the device about 3 cm (1.5 inches) above the surface to be treated
Press button on the top of the device to start treatment
The device will stop automatically after the time of operations (45 to 180 sec)
Use again as desired on any different area.

Novæ's green module inhibits the production of the pigment responsible for brown spots and blemishes
(melanin) in the epidermis.
This effect is greater with pulsed green light which scatters the granules of melanin in the cells, and

2.5 Cleaning instructions
To clean novæ multi-care, unplug all cables and turn off novæ multi-care (press and hold the on/off
button). Then use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid getting moisture in openings. Don't use window
cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives to clean novæ
multi-care.
2.6 Description of maintenance and who should do it
Repairing or Modifying novæ multi-careNever attempt to repair or modify novæ multi-care yourself.
Disassembling novæ multi-care may cause damage that is not covered under the warranty. novæ multi-
care does not contain any user-serviceable parts.
Service should only be provided by a Recife Concept Ltd authorized retailer. If novæ multi-care has been
submerged in water, punctured, or subjected to a severe fall, do not use it until you take it to a novæ
authorized retailer.

2.7 Storage instructions
Keeping novæ multi-care Within Acceptable Temperatures Operate novæ multi-care in a place where
the temperature is between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F). Low-or high-temperature conditions might
temporarily shorten battery life or cause novæ multi-care to temporarily stop working properly. Avoid
dramatic changes in temperature or humidity when using novæ multi-care as condensation may form on
or within novæ multi-care.
Store novæ multi-care in a place where the temperature is between -20º and 45º C (-4º to 113º F). Don't
leave novæ multi-care in your car, because temperatures in parked cars can exceed this range.
2.8 Expected failure time and mode and its effect on the user
83% of users report firming of their skin after 4 weeks, and 67 % report a reduction of fine lines (Study of
12 women aged 46 to 66). Individual results may vary. Overexposure to novæ multi-care (i.e. more than
twice a day on the same zone) is not dangerous, but will not yield improved results. If the automated
treatment time seems too short, re-load the battery. If this is not effective, see authorized novæ retailer or

2.9 Instructions on how to safely dispose of the device
Disposal of old electrical and electronic equipment:

The device and its accessories are certified conform to standards CE and FCC part 15 verification.
The WEEE logo on this product or its documentation indicates that the product must not be disposed of
as household waste. To help prevent possible harm to human health and/or the environment, the product
must be disposed of in an approved and environmentally safe recycling process. For further information
on how to dispose of this product correctly, contact the product supplier, or the local authority responsible
for waste disposal in your area.
