Ceiling brackets safety test
After installing the ceiling brackets and before you start exercising in Redcord AXIS, you must
test the installation and load capacity.
Attach the Redcord rope lock to the rope as shown in the picture below. Lower the straps to
about 6 inches (15 cm) above floor level. Place one foot in both straps and try to bounce up and
down using your full body weight. Repeat the test on the other ceiling bracket. You have now
tested that each anchor point tolerates a load far exceeding your bodyweight. The ceiling
brackets are ready to use for training and treatment.

Keeping your AXIS clean is the best maintenance you can perform. Regular cleaning of your AXIS
will secure proper function. By following these guidelines you will ensure proper
function for many years.
• Dust should be removed from the aluminium wheel with a vacuum cleaner or dry dust cloth
• If washing is required use a soft cloth and hot water
• Do not use detergent or soap
• Do NOT use lubricant of any kind on the aluminium wheel
Redcord slings are made of strong fabric and the maximum load is given with robust safety
factors. To keep the strength of your slings please follow the guidelines below:
• Inspect your slings and straps frequently
• Your slings and straps should always be without any visible damage. We also recommend
that the safety test on page 9 is performed before first use and then on a monthly basis to
test the strength of your equipment.
Replace slings and straps with visible damage such as:
• Bleached webbing around the D-ring
• Flossy or crispy webbing around the D-ring
• Divided D-ring
• Cracks in the plastic tube of PowerGrip
Respect the work load limit
Maximum load limit of 100 kg for each sling or strap is given for your safety. Even though the
Redcord slings and straps are tested and constructed for much higher load, please respect the
maximum load to give your equipment a longer life and keep your exercise safe.
Clean the slings correctly
• You may wash the slings in washing machines with programs up to 60oC using normal
washing powder
• You may clean the slings with a soft brush and lukewarm soapy water
• You may dry the slings in normal room temperature without sun exposure
• Do NOT use rinsing agents when washing/cleaning the slings
• Do NOT use benzine and other stain removers to clean the slings
• Do NOT disinfect with hot steam
• Do NOT dry in sunlight or by using a drying cabinet
Store the slings correctly
• The slings should be stored indoor without exposure to direct sunlight
• The slings should be stored in normal humidity and temperature without exposure to heating
elements
Avoid incorrect use
• Avoid shock loads - shock loads may damage your slings permanently.
• Avoid using the slings as a swing - Repetitive movements will involve much more wear and
tear than any normal use and may reduce the strength permanently.
Follow the recommended exercises you find on page 12 or at www.redcord.com.

Basic Redcord AXIS exercises
Exercise the entire body with Redcord AXIS. Some of the exercises involves rotational movements,
while others work to resist rotation. Combine the different exercises to make your own favorite
workout program. You can find more exercise programs and videos at www.redcord.com.
Exercises can be adjusted to be more challenging by adding one of the following elements:
123
Exercise principles:
• Make sure that all exercises are performed with proper form and technique
• Perform 2-3 sets of 5-6 repetitions per exercise
• Rest 30-60 seconds between sets
• Do not progress exercise until all repetitions in the last set can be performed with good quality
of movement
1. In supine positions, place a balance
cushion between shoulder blades
2. In prone positions, place balance
cushions under each elbow
3. In kneeling and standing positions,
keep legs together
Rotational movements are essential in most activities in your daily life and especially in sports
activities. Redcord AXIS is the ultimate tool to challenge these qualities.
• Please be aware of the unsteadiness and rotation when using Redcord AXIS.
• Suspension exercise allows you to do a full body workout with one piece of equipment.
Redcord AXIS makes the range of exercises even bigger and provides increased variations in
all exercise progressions.
• Unsteadiness is a key components in suspension exercise. Redcord AXIS increases the
unsteadiness in the rotational plane compared to traditional suspension exercise.
• The ability to control rotation and to develop rotational power is fundamental for top athletic
performance. Redcord AXIS enables precise rotational movements for the entire body. The
exercises can be modified to any particular movement pattern and adapted to your specific
needs.
• Exercises in Redcord AXIS maximize the demands for activity in stabilizing muscles and
optimizes muscular coordination. This is essential for perfect movement control.
